The co-op carries the antiques of around 9 different dealers, and as a result there is a wide range of options, and a wide range of prices. One of the benefits of the co-op is that the dealers are also the rotating cashier staff so you can often haggle their prices, or have them contact off-site dealers to negotiate. If you are checking out an especially pricey piece, many dealers will even let you pay in installments. Their hours can be inconvenient, but if you can navigate the schedule it is extremely worth the effort.

So we bypassed it and went into The Loft around the corner! (Read my review on The Loft. An amazing place that I just want to soak in!) At the Loft we were referred to Lee Douglas, "if you love us, step next door to our sister company and be amazed". So we walked around the corner and into an amazingly well set up space. Usually furniture stores are wide open spaces with scads of couches, chairs etc that one has to pull their creativity together. At Lee Douglas they stage furniture that provides a homey comfort feel. The furniture is beautiful and unique. Clients do have the opportunity to customize with the wide variety of fabrics, colors and they have wallpaper. The real gem is with Brenda!! She was fabulous!! She has a warm greeting meeting us as we walked in. Asked great questions and shared some wonderful guidance. The only reason this is not a 5 star rating is that we haven't actually purchased anything yet to assess the quality after some use. However I wouldn't hesitate to buy my next piece from them! Second, they were out of the free items and we were basically told too bad. Common sense would dictate that the store would stock enough items to get through their sale, but my hubby tells me that HF ALWAYS runs out of the free items during its sales.
