I am writing to inform family and friends of what occurred with the My Silver Attic Estate…read moreLiquidator in Lincoln Nebraska.  My parents are in their eighties and my mother signed the contract with this company to have an estate sale and full house clean out because they were moving to an independent living apartment and selling their home. They had a 4-bedroom home plus items from when they were snowbirds in Arizona.  Their possessions were not junk, but nice furniture, decorations, kitchen items, and some tools. The estate sale was held in April and we are told it brought in around $8,300.  The check my mother received from the sale of all their lifelong possessions was $36.90. When I called Brian on June 23, he explained that they took 45% off the top, then 96 hours at $30/hour for the work they did and two dumpster charges. This just doesn't seem right!  I have asked for a copy of the contract and invoice showing the charges and told they would send it to me via email.  However, I have contacted them twice by phone and once via their website, but still have not received what I asked.  My elderly parents have nothing to show for all these possessions that are now gone!  It doesn't seem right!  This company also keeps some of the furniture and can resell it at other sales and keep the money for themselves! Had my mother understood this when booking this company, she would not have signed to have a full house clean out, but moving is stressful at their age and she trusted these people.  Isn't 45% off the top of the sale enough?  Who knew they took all these extra fees too! Beware!

Do not do business with Classic Wood Floors out of Lincoln, NE. The owner, Chris Langer, does not…read morefollow-through on his commitments. His son installed our floors and there were issues ever since moving in two years ago. The floor started separating and gaps were forming. After multiple no-shows and excuses, Chris finally came out and glued the problem areas together - mind you, it's a floating floor. Chris blamed the material. After having a 3rd party inspect the flooring, they determined a bad install caused the problem. We had to pay for all new flooring that covers 70% of our home, which was not a small expense. Chris agreed to help our contractor tear out & re-install, but Chris, once again, DID NOT SHOW UP. He's also not answering his phone. My contractor is now laying this flooring by himself because Chris has fallen off the planet. Be careful dealing with Classic Wood Floors and whatever other businesses Christopher Langer owns.

I highly recommend this company if you are looking for wood flooring installation. A-1 all the way.

LOVE DEMMA WOOD FLOORS !!! We have hired Demma Floor Sanding to refinish and install wood floors…read morein our home on three different occasions. We were thrilled and more than satisfied w/the results! Demma Floor Sanding delivered results WAY beyond our expectations! We have an older home and the floors had never been refinished. Demma Floor Sanding refinished our living room and dining room wood floors . We snapped "before and after" photos and could not believe the difference! The refinished floors created a brand new feel with a noticeably polished look in both rooms. On a third occasion, Demma Floor Sanding replaced our kitchen floor. Our previous kitchen floor was linoleum. Being an older home, they had to tediously remove several very thick layers of linoleum before installing the new wood floor in our kitchen. They were meticulous and thorough and our new wood kitchen floor is spectacular! I have referred Demma Floor Sanding over 25 times over the years to my friends. Every referral has been ecstatic w/the work done by Demma Wood Floors . Demma Floor Sanding is the best !

I hired Demma Wood Floors to sand and stain my oak hardwood floors. I had to remove or cover…read moreeverything and leave my home for 4 days. When I returned to was shocked! The stain was exactly right and they showed up on time, but the job done was horrible. There were spots where they didn't even sand and the stain didn't take. Stain was globed on and set too long in some places. All around the edges of my floors the stain was not rubbed to the edge and then set too long in other spots, creating black pools of stain and splotches. There were circular sanding marks all through out my wood floors. The stain was obviously not put on with the grain of the wood but against it! When I contacted the company I was told by Pete that he could not come over because he had his kids. He could not come the next day either. Finally the following evening after I treated to call my lawyer, he showed up. He had nothing to say for himself, just that he was unable to do the job and I should hire someone else. He will not charge me. Not charge me? Gee thanks- how about I charge him for another 3 nights away from home that I will have to stay when I get someone else to fix my floors. Or another 100 bucks to board my dog! Or the inconvenience, I have 3 small children. Or the work lost, my husband works from home. Or the life lost off of my floors. You can only sand floors so many times. I'm livid! He really didn't offer much of an apology either. When I asked if he did the job himself he said, "does it matter?" He didn't even ask as if he wished to see the vandalism done to my home. I had to insist he look at the dozens of areas in which his company had destroyed my floors. He should have offered to have someone else stain my floors and he pay for it. After all I have lost a sanding of my wood. I probably only have one left after this before the entire floor needed to be replaced. The person who did this to my floor used no care. Has no pride in his work. Needed to be fired!
