Probably because the edging was so poorly done that they would need a very fat strip of caulking to hide it. I had another professional out to look at it and he said they are so uneven that they need to be removed and be redone. They also left a space between pieces of quartz. I know I should make them fix it but I fear they would just make a bigger mess.
