The customer service was very poor, and the employees were unhelpful. I felt ignored and frustrated throughout the experience because my concerns were not taken seriously or resolved in a timely manner. Instead of offering assistance or clear communication, the staff seemed uninterested in helping customers. Online ordering was simple to initiate and resulted in 1/4 of my items never arriving. I had to spend more than 3 hours on the phone with corporate customer care or my local store to ultimately get a refund on missing items from my order which they confirmed were never delivered. I had to go directly to the manufacturer for the items as Lowes could not figure out how to deliver the items they let me order according to inaccurate inventory. Corporate customer service was incapable of completing a refund or solving this ordering issue. Do not order from Lowes if you want to actually get the things you order. read more

Customer service was quick to take care of us and assisted with loading the snowblower into my jeep. we chose a water softener and asked to have it installed. we were told by sales person we would be contacted by person who installs. we were contacted and when then the gentleman came to the house he strived to upsell to a unit 4 times the price. we explained we wanted to purchase the unit at Lowe's and have him install. His response was "I wouldn't install a unit they sell.". I don't think Lowe's vets their referrals for labor. read more

I purchased a battery powered snow blower from Lowes in Lincoln and it has been one of the worst experiences I have ever thee first unit i received one of the battery's would not take a charge, so I took it back and they said that they would have to exchange the entire unit, They gave me anther complete setup, neither of this had been in a box so it is possible that they had been returned by a previous customer but I do not know this for sure, after getting this unit home I tried to charge the batteries again and again there was a battery that would not charge. I took it back again and this time they just gave me another battery. The next day I put the batteries on the charger and the charger started to get hot and smelled like it was going to catch fire, I noticed that the fan in the charger was not working either. So, another trip back to the store. I did not have any intension of keeping the snow blower at this point, but they said they had a new one still in the box, so I took that one. It was about 2 weeks later and we were supposed to get some snow, so i opened the box and took out the batteries and charger, Charger worked, and batteries were at full charge, that night it snowed so in the morning I finished taking the snow bower out of the box. got everything put together and started to blow snow. Well, it ran for about 10 minutes before it quit. Completely dead, I checked the batteries, and they were still charged. Took the unit back to Lowes and here's where they kind of sucked. The model number that was on the snow blower unit did not match the receipt. It was the unit that came out of the box there was nothing weird going on there on my part. The model number on the unit was a tool only and did not come with batteries and a charger. I showed them the model number on the box, and they basically said to dam bad there was nothing that they could do about it except offer a store credit for $149.00. Needless to say, that i got pretty upset, it was like they were saying I was trying to return a different unit then had come out of the box which is bullshxx. I will never do business with Lowes again and will encourage everyone that I can to listen to this before they do. I plan on contacting the manufacture and reaching out for legal advice and possibly take legal action if that's what it comes to. Can you leave a no star review? I don't remember his name but yesterday I was there and asked them to help me for an issue who was their employees were the reason but he answered me very rude and he didn't try to offer me any helping for fixing that issue. Don't go buy any stuff from this rude and disrespectful store they will be stealing your money for sure as they did with me. I purchased a combo washer and dryer last September from there and she applied a Lowes credit card for payments which I was repeated more than 10 times if it was interest free because interest is a big matter for me as my religion doesn't let me do any deals with interest. All the time she answered me yes it's 12 months interest free. Also they said a base pedestal is free but they gave me it after a while and calling them hundreds of times. Then I setup monthly auto payment with my debit bank account. I was busy and haven't looked till last month then it looked for me that they charge me around extra $65 interest plus the payment every month. That was shocked me as I told them more than ten times I don't buy it if you charged me interest. They only trying to sell their items they don't care what you need and what you say. I live 3 hrs away and stopped in to purchase a gallon of paint. Got home and opened it and it apparently had been previously purchased and returned after it had froze. I called Lowe's spoke with manager Ron explaining that I didn't know when I would get back to Lincoln sent him pictures of the frozen paint, long story when the conversation ended he ASSURED me when I brought it back they would stand behind it and refund me. Jump ahead to today, greated by a gal In Customer service who could give a crap what I had to say and before I could get a word out she was either telling me hold on I'll get a manager or worried about the next guy standing there. Enters irogant manager Alex.who again didn't care to here my conversation with manager Ron that my purchase would be refunded the only thing he knew how to say was 90 days 90 days, and told me to contact the paint company, what do they have to do with Lowe's taking back frozen paint and putting it back on their shelves to resell? Lowe's was in the wrong and needed to make it right even if it meant an in-house credit be Alex wasn't even concerned to hear what took place to even understand the situation only to continue to say 90 day return. I get the store policy but Alex your manager Ron made it clear that he would honor my return but your big "store manager" tile clouded your service to the customer logical thinking. I bought the paint at a time it could not have froze on me, and clearly if I am going to drive 3 hrs to return a gallon of paint am I really making this stuff up. I went to buy a Washer and Dryer and specifically asked what financing options I had, and for the soonest delivery date, they didn't explain all my financing options correctly and when I got my card I realized that I could've got a better financing option had I spent a couple 100 dls more. I had already been waiting for my washer and dryer to arrive and had a date for delivery setup but I wanted to get the special refinancing, so we did a return and rebuy with the same exact items and I specifically told the customer service member that I wanted the same delivery date and she said we should be able to set it up. Long story short they changed it and got it wrong, so they told me to call the store today and no one answers the phone. Worst customer service ever, not to mention most of the time I can't get a solid answer to my questions before buying something. I am giving them 2 stars so this review doesn't get ignored like most one stars do. read more

I have to update...While we have had some mediocre experiences here, recently we went dishwasher shopping here and had a fantastic experience! David in appliances showed us great customer service, walked us through the process, and was knowledgeable regarding brands and prices for the install, etc. Everything he quoted us was accurate. He made sure we got our dishwasher installed before Thanksgiving! There were no issues with the contracted plumber that came out to do the install. Overall just a great experience that eased our worries it would be done correctly, as we had got mixed feelings at Home Depot and other places regarding the installation process. read more

I purchased a Larson storm door last Fall. In less then a year the mechanization was broke. Contacted Lowes said they would order the part. It came into the store in December it is now April. Several phones calls to cooperate, the store and the installer with nothing but excuses and no results. Everyone will follow up and call you back. I left a voicemail myself in the installers cell ( Jeff) and received no call back. Both my husband and myself have been to the store several times. Not only did I have to call to find out the resolution to get the correct washer, but after being transferred 3 times was told they no longer have that item. I requested a refund and immediately was "Disconnected" In other words hung up on. Now I am on hold with customer care and at 1 hour and 6 minutes and counting just to cancel the order! Ok months ago we bought freedom Vinyl Fence panels cause they were on sale. The apples way Lowe's didn't have enough but Eric the store manager made it happen and we got our panels. Fast forward to today. We needed to buy the posts to start putting in our fence. Got there after we checked how many they had online to pick up just some of them. Get there and they were all out completely gone. After one employee said it wouldn't be able insert Eric again this time in person. He literally gave us options on how to remedy the situation and on top of that walked around and made sure we were taken care in all aspects of our excursion. Avoid Lowes at any cost. In making a simple payment online they charged me for four identical payments. And so, since friday i have spent more time than i can believe on their dysfunctional AI-run website or on the phone with their non-english speaking customer service reps. To say nothing of being on hold listening to the worst contemporary music imaginable for 40 minutes only to have the line go dead. They have never been competent or even helpful in anything involving the phone, deliveries or dealing with their website. But this is truly awful. I actually really like Lowes. They seem to have a great selection and I almost always find what I need when I go there. The prices seem less then Home Depot on everyday items by a small but noticeable margin. I usually price compare both of these stores and have found this lowes is not only bigger then Home Depot in size and item selection, but they are nearly every time priced lower. That said, they both typically carry different brands on items so it pays to shop around as I have found some items with features I like at Home Depot or Menards. Last night around 8:00 pm me and my wife went to Lowes in order to exchange one of the 32Fl.OZ can of paint ( Rusty Metal Primer),cause once I opened the can it was totally different color than what it shows on the can. The color was almost orange and the lady in the return department ( Bonnie) said " well , it looks like rusty to me". I'm like yes but there are different varieties and this is not even close to the one on the can. She sent me to the pain department for them to approve that. I went over there but nobody was there so I went back to tell her. She paged someone and went with me. As soon as other lady( from paints department)showed up she ( Bonnie)start telling her it's a rusty color so they shouldn't let me exchange it.Than she told me to get another can of the same color so they can open it to see if it's same . Once the other lady from paint department opened she told Bonnie it's still same. Then she turn around and asked me how we stored that paint cause it has bubbles . I told her it was in the garage last two days once I opened cause I wasn't going to use it. She told me cause I didn't store it properly she's not going to let me exchange or return it. I told her that wasn't right cause it's totally different color and it's not my fault. She basically started arguing with us with the smile on her face and she said on the end " ok how about I give you free can of paint". REALLY?! I'm like , you are not giving me anything for free since I paid for it! I asked for the manager on duty and she said I'm the manager even do her name tag said customer service. I told her if that's the case she can have my paint too and I left the store . I came back after 5 seconds to get her name and she's was already telling other costumer what happened. Seriously?! I decided for first time in my life to complain cause that was ridiculous . I'm restoring my second Victorian, so I know from home improvement stores. And Lowe's is by far the best in Nebraska. Their product quality beats Menard's by miles and Lowe's building is much, much nicer than Home Depot. But that's not why I shop (a lot) at Lowe's. I go to Lowe's for the people. Every employee seems to be an expert, and if they don't have the right answer they find someone who does. Lowe's clearly staffs for expertise, and that's worth a lot to me -- it's saved me more money and time than I'll ever know. Every employee is on my side. While I'd like about 100% more employees in the store (I'm kind of impatient), the ones who are there are always enthusiastic about helping me. And save me money -- the woman at the flooring center stayed after her shift because she thought she could track down a special offer for me and her manager worked with my installer to save me more. Every employee is nice. I've been frequently ignored and occasionally demeaned at Menard's and Home Depot (I guess women aren't supposed to buy tools? Or understand them?), but the people at Lowe's are genuinely gracious and kind. I like Lowe's products, prices, and location but that's not why I shop there. I go to Lowe's for the people, and I've never been disappointed. read more

The customer Service was and is awful. I waited hours in-store for my order to be completed, and when the delivery for my washer/dryer units happened, they couldn't install because I didn't order a stacking kit. Now, I knew that this was a stacked washer/dryer. And I communicated this as well, but I was not informed that I'd need one of these kits, or that it was an extra charge. But my delivery was delayed almost a week over this, and I had to fork the extra 100 dollars. The delivery was also haphazard because I never was informed when it would happen. I was explicitly told I would be notified the day before and the day of. I was only informed the day before for one of the sets I ordered. And the day of, no text/calls for either of them. When I called wondering why this was, and asking to call and make sure of delivery times, the customer service rep couldn't give me a public phone number because "someone removed it." read more

What an absolute joke your carpet install services is. I purchased carpet from Home Depot and Lowes recently and Lowes can't come close to comparing. 1st the carpet that was installed was not the thicker/more dense version of the carpet that I paid for (and they didn't have me even look at the carpet first before installing - Home Depot did). LOWES REFUSES TO FIX THE ISSUE! Lowes only sent two installers for a huge amt of sq ft (Home Depot sent 3, who where much more professional). The Lowes carpet had fibers and strings everywhere after install. Lowes took almost a month to install (Home Depot took just over a week to receive and install). I have been a long time Lowe's customer prior to moving to Nebraska and previously the in store merchandise selection ,service and install was stellar. I am sorry to say, however, i don't find this store an equal to where i previously shopped. In fact, it's a disappointment. I purchased kitchen cabinet installation on 10/17/20. I did not finance the project, I paid upfront the day the order was written up. This included cabinets, granite counter tops and installation for both. I purchased in stock items because I was told I would not have to wait for special order which would decrease wait time to do the project. Two plus weeks after I paid for the project the cabinets were installed 11/9/20. I do not object to this but now, there they sit for 21 days more waiting from the completion of the cabinet install until someone from granite company Lowe's deals with can come to do just the template on 11/30/20! The granite counter tops will then finally be installed two plus weeks later on December 18,2020. From day of cabinet installation to granite counter top installation 5 more weeks without a kitchen. From day of purchase to completion two months, therefore, if time is of the essence I would not suggest purchasing here. They may want to consider using more than one vender for installations. I found the store as a whole a bit disorganized as compared to Lowes Stores I previously shopped. My new appliances were delivered and are still in boxes because cabinet installers were not finished. This poses a problem of how to get the appliances out of the boxes and into the kitchen. It's a mess. The previous stores were much better at coordinating one thing with the other so projects were seamless. Who needs this stress? read more

Very bad management of situations. We bought a house in the spring and decided to pick Lowe's for some reason but regret doing so. We had carpet and a exterior door installed by them. They contract out but you'd think they would care what quality of work would be done, nope. All Floors did a good job on the carpeting, although it was a run around to get them scheduled. We signed contracts to get it done by a certain date and if you don't stick that to them, they will make it months before it's installed. The worst was the door installation. These guys did a half ass job at installing a door and scheduling was the same situation. When we called to ask when they'd install the door they said it would be a month out but told them about our contract and then a "opening" popped up. The door doesn't shut all the way and the top of the bracket doesn't even have screws in it. We demanded someone to fix it or to give us our money back for what we paid on installation and they decided to refund us. Very unprofessional job and no wonder they only have one location. Menards is the only option I want to go to from here on out. read more

Unfortunately, I used to go to Lowes for everything. When I moved into my brand new home in August of 2016 I purchased my refrigerator from Lowe's and had it delivered. I have never met anyone as rude as James, who was an employee who "helped" with the delivery. He stood around telling the other two employees what to do instead of actually working. Little did I know the builder gave me measurements without accounting for the trim on the floor, so the fridge wouldn't fit. When James wanted to show me what was wrong he pointed at me and the other person in the house and motioned for me to come to him. When I said, " what do you need?" He said I don't care who comes over here. Then proceeded to say, "Well why did you get this, you don't need it." In a very rude way. Referring to the water hose. He actually wasn't gonna give it to me and said he would take it back to the store himself. I wouldn't allow that cause I knew I wouldn't get money back for it if he did that. He was so rude I would not allow him to come back when I had the proper size fridge delivered. But this is only half the story. When I had the new fridge delivered the employees were much more respectful, unfortunately not prepared to carry a fridge down a flight of stairs in my split level home. They dropped the fridge going back to the store. They put holes in the drywall, trim, railing, and put a hole in my front door (which I didn't notice til later). They also got the fridge cord caught on a wall and kept moving. It took me telling them to stop or they would've ripped up the wall and ruined the whole fridge. They didn't say a word about the damage until I asked them what their plan was to fix it when they were leading. They said they would tell their manager, which they obviously didn't, cause when I called the store the manager knew nothing about it. He immediately addressed my concerns and looked at pictures of the damage. He said he could send a contractor out to repair the damage. By this time I was done with Lowe's and instead asked for cash to repair the damage myself. I am no longer a customer of Lowe's. I now go to Home Depot. read more

Dryer had no lint trap, so she had to go back to the store to have their "expert" tell her, after deliberation, that it was missing. He told her SHE needed to call the maker & request the part. No help or discount for delivering a dryer missing a main component! I've worked in customer service & retail most of my career, this is not taking care of your customer! My parents purchased from and had a refrigerator/freezer installed by Lowe's a few years ago. Recently the tubing supplying the water to the icemaker started leaking and caused severe damage to their kitchen flooring and to the ceiling and insulation in the basement below the refrigerator. The appliance was still under extended warranty so, Lowe's sent a repairman(of their choosing )to repair the refrigerator. Upon inspection the repairman stated that the installation was not done properly to begin with and that the leak was completely avoidable. He repaired the refrigerator and took pictures of all the damage to give to Lowe's. After 3 calls to Lowe's , a representative finally returned my father's call and told him it had been too long and that they were not responsible for repairing the damage to their home. If the damage was caused by improper installation by a Lowe's representative, they should be responsible to repair damage done no matter how long the time; and especially since the appliance was still under warranty. BEWARE!!! These big box stores do not stand by their work!!! read more
