this place is a DREAM for kpop fans, they have a variety of kpop, jpop, anime intros, and even other global music so there's a huge list! They even already have things like katseye and kpop demon hunters! They have tons of popular american hits and TONS of ariana grande songs haha. There's no internet popular songs and if youre a really big rap fan dont expect any song but the most popular ones from ur fav but still there should be a few! ASK THE MAN AT THE FRONT HOW TO USE THE TABLET!!! if you dont know korean definitely ask how to use the tablet, it's not too difficult but for other languages it's a little bit specific. the rooms did go up in price a little since the first time i went ($20 per hour now $25 per hour for the small room, not awful but adds up! Went here to try something different with friends that would also feel safe with the once again increase in COVID numbers. This is one of the please with the individual karaoke booths. I loved the concept. The rooms smelled clean. You could tell that they do what they can to disinfect the room. They also have microphone covers. The downfalls are that the entire control panel for the karaoke is in Korean. The karaoke selection book is also in Korean and very hard to read. It is easier to type the letters for the title or the song and hope they have your song. Also the gentleman working the place was not the nicest. Found a Groupon for this place last year and used it with my hubby and two friends. Yeah yeah it looks "sketchy" on the outside. But if you really know anything- some of the coolest places or best food can come out of those "sketchy" looking places or holes in the wall. That being said, Q Karaoke had some great deals on Groupon including beer/wine and/or chicken wings. We just gave the voucher code at the front desk and the gentleman set us up with drinks and showed us how to use the controller. The controller was a little confusing to use, and we seemed to somehow switch genres while searching so for a while we got very limited songs and didn't quite know how to change it back. You're set in a room with a couple couches and a big binder showing you what songs they have available. The room is set up with lights and super loud speakers. My only real complaint aside from not understanding the controller was the room quickly became super super hot. I thought maybe it was because I was exerting a lot of energy with singing and dancing, but my hubby who wasn't doing much singing or dancing was definitely feeling the heat. And there was only four of us so I couldn't imagine bigger parties and how warm it can get in there. Going here you definitely need a touch of confidence because I'm almost 100% sure the front desk can hear all of your singing loud and clear lol. But overall a pretty great experience. I would come back and bare the heat. Unless I could bring a fan to plug in I literally would and spend all day there!! The rooms aren't really anything to write home about but it's clean and the machines work just fine. Such a great find. Reviews are correct it looks a little sketchy when you arrive but that's just because it's in a strip mall and. I thing else is open if guy go late at night. We had so much fun it was just what we all needed. I hate karaoke I never want to do it but agreed to give it a try since it was a private room and a way to get out during covid and not be around other people but with us. I had a blast. A year ago, me and my friends went to a karaoke place and it wasn't good. So going to Q Karaoke, we were scared it was going to be the same experience. However, it was totally a different atmosphere! The owner (man who works there who I assume is the owner) is so sweet! The room was good enough for 4 people! It was $20 an hour (for a small room) so it wasn't expensive at all! If you do drinks and food ofc it will add up. One thing I wish is there was a table in the middle of the room and we wish it was smaller, but we understood it was for drinks, food and extra and move it to the corner for more room! but we moved it back when we left! The room came with about 3 microphones, 2 screens that played silent soap opera korean drama films (really can't explain the random images that come up on the screen, it's hilarious,) a huge gigantic sofa, and a book of entertaining songs to choose from. I came here for a birthday celebration and we all had a blast. I loved it and I know that I will be coming back again. Q is not located in the best part of town. It is on OBT in an area that can feel a little sketchy. The outside of the plaza is very dark at night. However, if you are able to look past the outside and not judge the place by its cover, it is really a hidden gem. I believe this is the only place in town that has private karaoke rooms. I called 30 minutes prior to arrival for a party of 18 people. They let me know that their large room is already taken and the only room they have available is a medium room that would typically be for 12 people. I told them that we don't mind fitting in a smaller room if they let us, and they told me it was okay. I have been to another karaoke bar in New York and Q is not as comparable. However, considering that it is the first karaoke bar in Orlando, it was great nevertheless. The place is owned by a Korean couple who were super sweet and welcoming. The guy nicely walked us into our room and showed us how the karaoke system works. The room was actually very spacious and fit 18 of us just fine. The couches were super comfortable and the lighting in the room was very appropriate for karaoke. The system was pretty confusing though as it was in Korean. It took us a while to figure out how to change it to English. The song books were also in a bunch of different languages and only 2 pages were in English. I did not use the books as the guy told us that we could search for a song on screen that may not be listed in the books. Their songs collection was pretty impressive. Almost every song our group wanted was available. At first, the music and microphones were quiet but we could turn them up as needed. They only have beers and and soft drinks available here and you have to go to the front to buy them. They also have food available but we did not try any. The price here was ridiculously cheap. Our group's total came out to be around $90 including tips so $5 for each person. Extremely cheap for a great 2 hours of fun. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something fun and cheap to do with a group of friends, or to prepare for that American Idol audition! read more
