I got the mega sampler($31) and it came with chicken tender, pork, brisket, sausage, two sides, and bacon hush puppies. There was a lot of food and variety with this meal. The pork was great. Brisket was decent, good flavor just missing some juiciness. Chicken tender were alright. sausage was good. Surprisingly I loved the bacon hush puppies! A great sampler with plenty to offer! I would come back again. Food(50%): 7.3 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%): 7.0 Overall: 7.0/10

Everytime we head over the bridge to Smithfield, Daddy's pit master has been on my places to go for BBQ. The parking lot was packed which is a good sign. Upon entry, there was a line forming almost to the middle section of the restaurant. I noticed a few tables and booths that were empty, but filled immediately once people had their food in hand. We looked up at the menu above the counter. I ordered the special 5 smoked wings meal which came with two hush puppies, and choice of two sides. I had the smashed potato salad, and Mac and cheese with a drink. The hubs had the 8oz brisket sandwich, and choice of two sides for an extra $6.95 to make it a meal. He opted for the smashed potato salad, and Mac and cheese. We decided on takeout since it was getting packed inside. We also picked up a bag of bbq pork rinds, and banana pudding. So the brisket was probably the most disappointing. It was fatty and not 8oz. The young lady dug the last bits from the tray then yelled for a refill after it was wrapped. We should've checked the takeaway containers before leaving to ensure everything ordered was correct. The meal was charged $6.95 extra for a wrong side. French fries instead of smashed potato salad for his meal. They were stale and reheated, basically leftovers from a day or two. He took a bite of the brisket sandwich, and didn't want to eat the rest as the fat was overwhelming. The potato salad in my meal was extremely sweet, and with macaroni that was slightly hard. The smoked wings were good. I did enjoy the bbq pork rinds as they were fresh and delicious. The meal was about $70 with tax and tip for takeaway. This was my experience as everyone has their own. Umm maybe more quality control on the meats and sides to ensure everything is fresh, correct, and ready to go.

Back again this time to try out their restaurant week special! All the food was still very tasty! Had pulled pork sandwich and chicken tenders. Both were still so tasty! I love that the meat is smoked so well it does not need sauce. The chicken tenders are nice and crunchy and also don't need sauce because it's just flavorful! A new side we tried was the potato casserole and they were good! Broccoli salad still a favorite! Hush puppies are still delicious. Service was great and friendly. Plenty of seating inside, casual dining area great for a casual evening.

One bite out of a BBQ sandwich and broccoli salad

Stopped in for a late lunch with a team from work. We were after the lunch hour and before dinner so it was not crowded. I ordered my favorite puller pork sandwich with slaw and broccoli salad as a side with a molasses cookie. The BBQ was piled high and tasty. There is also extra BBQ sauce available if needed. Good music and extras to buy. They also have good brisket and you can get it fried if you want.

We were in the area and decided to come for here for lunch. It was pretty packed so we got our food to go, the line was long but it moved pretty fast. I got the Pitmaster sampler and made it a meal with adding the two sides and hushpuppies and pickles. The meal came with 5oz brisket, pulled pork and two chicken tenders. The meat was tender and seasoned well. I got Mac n cheese and coleslaw. Mac n cheese was pretty good, the coleslaw was decent. The hushpuppies were a bit greasy and I didn't get the pickles. If I'm back this way again I would try their other dishes.

Brisket was dry. All the bbq sauces were sickening sweet. They were out of ribs and sausage.

How do you run out of brisket and sausage before 6pm?

We tried the half chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. All were very good. I love the wide selection of sides and we chose beans and collard greens. They're well known in the Hampton Roads area with three locations. So, it was time to give them a visit (their 1st opening was here in Carrollton) and see if it was legit. We were greeted by the hostess behind the counter where you place your order. We took a few minutes to look over the menu before making a decision. I chose the combo of the Bubba Burger (subbed the cheese with pepperjack and mayo with yellow mustard) and their onion rings. The dine-in is a bit dated, but there were plenty of seats available for seating. And TVs were up, with one showing off the food and the other on ESPN. The food itself was pretty good. The burger was cooked perfectly and there were enough toppings to keep it all together. The onion rings were to die for. The coating was very good and actually tasted a little sweet. Not sure what type flour they used, but it was super crispy. Sophia had the fried catfish combo which she enjoyed as well. All in all, a very good lunch for the both of us. We will definitely stop by again the next time we're in town or head to their Hampton location on our side. Till next time :)
