I came here for some takeout Chinese food. I got the human beef ($8) and I was happy to see it was a bunch of food! Unfortunately taste and flavor wise was definitely a letdown. Order is always correct. Friendly and the food is always hot and delicious. When you order from there as much as I do they start to know either my number or voice because they can almost tell me what I'm ordering before I order. read more

Probably my favorite Chinese restaurant. Pretty much everything is delicious, especially the eggrolls. The portions are generous, and they don't skimp on ingredients. For example, if you get the shrimp and scallop soup, you will get a lot of shrimp and scallops, and not just a bunch of vegetables like other Chinese restaurants. I really love the egg drop soup and steamed vegetables and shrimp eggrolls. Their shrimp lo mein and fried rice is also pretty yummy if you're looking for something quick and cheap. Their General Tso's Chicken and chicken teriyaki are also the pretty tasty. My Dad also really likes the egg foo yung. The staff is also super nice and always has a smile or a kind word. I've ordered from here many many times and they've never got my order wrong. And I'm pretty sure if they did, they would do everything they could to make it right. Also a great value. Unlike other Chinese restaurants they haven't raised their prices in recent months. Still very affordable. It's more of a takeout oriented Chinese restaurant, so if you're looking for like a sit-down dining experience, you might be underwhelmed maybe. But I mean the cafeteria style seating is clean, comfortable, and they always make sure you have everything you need at your table. So unless you're the bougie type of person it probably won't be an issue. I really can't say anything negative about them at all. They also give out extra sauce for free! FIVE STARS! read more

I am not sure what style Chinese this food is but it is not typical. I will give a review on the meal I ordered out.. I got Generals Chicken with white rice. The rice was good.. but the chicken.. You could tell the meat chunks from the chicken came from drum sticks of chickens. There was no white meat what so ever. It was all stringy and gray. The sauce the chicken was in tasted of pure ketchup with cayenne pepper. I have had the same results time and time again with this particular restaurant. The only dish I like at a chinese place is Generals Chicken and they just don't hit the mark. Prices are pretty cheap, though. read more

OK - maybe this is good cheap Chinese food for Smithfield, but it's not really good cheap Chinese food. Places like this are all over the country - you don't expect them to be great - you expect cheap Chinese food. But to me - this place doesn't make the grade even for that level. The dumplings were soggy, the egg roll was super soggy, and the beef and broccoli had overcooked broccoli and flavorless sauce. I've had a lot of cheap Chinese food - and although this is quite edible - it doesn't make the grade for the genre. read more

Foods pretty cheap for the amount you get. They do take out and eat in, no delivery. We did the take out and I'm glad because it's not the nicest atmosphere to eat in. Definitely not the best Chinese I've ever had. The general sao's chicken was pretty weird.. it was as if the sauce was a mixture of bbq and mild hot sauce... not much flavor, just sort of artificial tasting. Dumplings we're pretty good. I have been ordering from this place for years! It is always delicious, a few days ago I decided to try something new, the house chow mei fun, and it did not disappoint! Some of the best items to order are the eggrolls, chicken teriyaki, crab ragoon, any type of lo-mein, any type of fried rice, the sesame chicken and now I can recommend the mei fun! You should know you're getting the stereotypical "Chinese" food if you eat here, but it's the best damn "Chinese" food you'll have for the price and speed. Plus the owners are awesome people. I keep coming back!! Love this place! String Bean Szechuan and Orange Chicken are my fav! Btw, just addressing the comment below about the "orange-colored sauce". Not sure what she ordered or if she's reviewing the right place, but the Orange Chicken definitely comes in a brown sauce. I love the smokiness from the orange peels they fry with it. Some of the worst food ever. The people are very nice, but the food was so awful. The General Tso's tasted like Ketchup and hot sauce. Kung Pao was not as bad as it had a huge mound of peanuts in it and how can you go wrong with a mostly peanut meal, and the Orange Chicken was mostly pepper and not really even a faint taste of orange.
