Just come in whatever you're wearing and you'll probably be fine. This place can get messy. Good chance of having spilled drinks. We came in to check out a game. It had well drink specials of $4 each going on. The vodka was a good one. As for the food, there's hardly anything. It's $1 for a big of chips. Try eating something before if you get hungry. Hard to find at first. It's located on Frontage Road. This is off Cass Avenue by Interstate 55 a ways.

Q Bar's owner backed a comment hinting at killing protesters during a musician's performance at the bar." "DARIEN, IL - The owner of Darien's Q Bar is doubling down on his decision to let a singer with ties to the Proud Boys perform at his bar. And this week, he supported another person's comment on his Facebook page that suggested death for those who disagree. Last weekend, the bar's owner, Bob Taft, said on Facebook that he had received many "nasty" and "hateful" messages from strangers since it was revealed he was hosting former Misfits frontman Michale Graves next Wednesday. Graves has expressed support and testified for members of the Proud Boys, which the Southern Poverty Center has labeled a hate group. In his comments, Taft said, "My buddy Tom summed up my feelings better than I could toward these trolls/strangers." He was referring to Donald Trump's "border czar," Tom Homan, who spoke at a conservative conference a couple of months ago. In the clip of Homan's speech that Taft posted, Homan said he didn't "give a s- what you think about me. I get asked all the time, 'Does it bother you that a big part of this country hates your guts?' I don't care."" ... "Taft has served on Darien's Economic Development Committee. Man this place could be amazing.....if anyone who worked there cared. Food is acually pretty good but half the people that go there dont even know they have food. What is with the booths right in the middle of the bar? I go here once or twice a week and NEVER see anyone sitting there what a waste if space. The bar is filled with alot of creepy regualrs aged 40-60 and the rest of the bar is full of younger people with the look of terror on their faces because of the creepy regulars. Why do they let these guys keep coming in? Youre scaring off newer and you ger customers! And why is the band room a seperate entity? Band room is always full but you have a dj and an empty dance floor as the first thing you see as you walk in. Oh ya thats right the dj used to be a regular thats why! Imagine if they had that packed band room out in the open with the main bar this place would be epic but instead they hide the best part of the bar behind a door in another room. Oh and also get rid of the cover..a cover? In the suburbs? Cmon really? Downtown naperville doesnt even charge a cover, youre not special. In fact, YOU should be paying people to come in not the other way around. This establishment was GREAT. My crew and I had out Christmas party there on a Tuesday night and we didn't realize that we were going to have a GREAT night. First, when we went in, the manager Shawn was FANTASTIC, he greeted us and walked us through the whole process with the party. The staff had set up a buffet for us, and had three pool tables reserved for us. After the 3 hours of the buffet and pool, we noticed that something else was going on, they had TRIVIA. The whole team that thought that they were going to leave around 8:30 that night, we stayed until 12:45 because we played TRIVIA and got 2nd place, WOO HOO. With playing TRIVIA we also won a 20 dollar gift card and fee appetizer for our next visit which is fantastic because we are actually going back TODAY for more trivia and drinks. You HAVE to go and ENJOY all the fun adventures at Q-BAR. If you need anything or have any questions, call and talk with Shawn, he is GREAT. The owner - BOB TAFT - has more than enough income from his multiple properties: "The Quarry will be the fifth location for Taft, who also owns Q Bar Glendale Heights, Q Billiards Downers Grove, Q Bar Darien and Q Bar Plano." Took my favorite sheep down there a few weeks ago to see the AFROMAN show..had a GREAT time! Heck...even Sadie (thats my favorite sheep) had a blast as we did the jig on the dance floor to the tune of "But I got High". Show was a blast and a VERY reasonable $12 for the ticket..they didnt even charge Sadie to get in..I told em she was my seeing eye sheep. Who were they to disagree! The wait staff is very nice and definitely had their hands full that night with all the people in there - the place was pretty packed so I wont hold it against em that I had to pull out the cattle prod and zap one o dem ladies on the behind to get me my darn beer. All in all, me and Sadie had a blast and will definintly be frequenting the establishment a few more times from here on out! I've been waiting all week to meet up w/friends & eat @ Q's, but when we got there we found the only good cook they had (Bear) IS GONE. Against his better judgment my friend ordered wings. They came out burnt to a crisp. I don't know how the cook messed up wings or why the server would bring them out that way but my friend couldn't eat them. He asked for the manager to take them off the bill & when the manager came he smelled so strongly of weed it was almost comical. The best cook is gone, the server doesn't bother to look at the food they take out & the manager is a pothead. There is no way we will recommend this place to our boss for our holiday party. I worked at the one in Darien my buddy worked at the one in Downers Grove both door security. I myself have 5 1/2 years experience in Security along with being a public safety officer at a hospital. I did this just for a little extra income was there for a day has not told anything about. Why I was like oh and anytime I tried to I was told actually left unread and my declined and my buddy was just let go today with no explanation but costing them money which I find bullshit for lack of better words. Anybody else has had this experience working at Darien or Downers Grove location please reply to this comment. this place would have gotten 5 stars from me, if they had respectful security. they are racist, annoying, and on an obvious power trip. wanna be rentacops. i watched them mistreat a group of people over absolutely nothing, if they were doing something wrong i would have given them 5 stars, but the fact is they weren't, and security has no right to be racist no matter the situation, im diffidently telling people not to visit this establishment in my entertainment nightlife blog. i was embarassed i brought my friends from out of town to this place. never again will i go here. read more

Normally I have no problems with any place I love going out I love every single bar I love communication and having a good time but this is one of the bars I have been to which I will tell you is a "death zone" there is no sanitation no social distancing they are serving food not wearing gloves or masks if they want to stay open I think they would appreciate the guidelines of social distancing but I guess not... most of the workers are kind but nobody respects the social distancing rule or the 6 feet rule I don't understand how this place is open read more

This place sucks now. Used to be a good time. But now only good for underage college or high school drinkers who don't get caught by their system. Staff is legitimately great, but security thinks they're these tough-guy ICE agents with their 2-3 inch dicks. We won't come back until changes are made. My husband and I don't go out much because he travels a lot so when he is home he likes to spend it at home but we made an exception and went out to this place because it was close. I knew the moment I walked in the there I was out of my element. We were much older than most of the crowd but I'm not critical of that. The drinks we had tasted like they were really watered down. I was looking for a glass of beer for my son and I after spending some time on the golf course. We stopped here. Beer was stale, warm and flat. Had a slight metallic taste, indicating dirty tappers. My beer was served in a broken glass. We elected to play pool. At $1 per game it is average. But then they clip you for $1 per pool stick. Who does that? My girlfriend and I come here for the music and food. The place rocks pretty well on a Saturday night. Great acoustics. The steak deal for $10.00 is a bargain. The Scotch pours are generous and they have many craft brews. If you are into pool they have many tables and an outdoor beer deck. Worth the trip to visit. The need for drinking should accompany the need for eating something. It doesn't have much in the way of food. They have some varieties of pretzels. It's $1 for a container full of some. Games here also include slots if you're into playing with your money. It sometimes has good odds. They have had quite a few winners.

Plenty of regulars come here. It was bingo night and they had a little shop here on the other side. Drinks were fairly priced, didn't have anything too extraordinary. Clean establishment as well and friendly service. Overall, casual establishment worth checking out.

I saw the pool tables in the photos so I ventured out. I get there and it is a cool bar with live music, pool tables, slot machines, a busy staff and clicks of people having a good time. Only interested in pool, I put a quarter up to play and instantly drew attention from all the "shooters" in the house. It only took two games before the started phoning a friend. Each friend that came seem to be a little better than the last but not quite the challenge. By the fourth or fifth visit it became old so to speak and pool playing was normal shooting, no more play this guy stuff. Just get in line. Unfortunately, work sent me another direction for me to repeat and I look forward to going back to DEMito's Saloon. Pool players beware!

It looked like typical fried bar food. Nothing surprising since it is in fact a bar. The ambiance was the worst part for me. We were there for karaoke night and it was like all the jocks came out to play that night. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure some of their other patrons may enjoy that crowd. The best part was our waitress. I wish I got her name because she kept up with our table and was quite pleasant.
