I've only been here once and I plan on keeping it that way. The food looked mediocre. I didn't have any despite my friends wanting to share their appetizers with me. It looked like typical fried bar food. Nothing surprising since it is in fact a bar. The ambiance was the worst part for me. We were there for karaoke night and it was like all the jocks came out to play that night. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure some of their other patrons may enjoy that crowd. The best part was our waitress. I wish I got her name because she kept up with our table and was quite pleasant. read more

Have you ever showed up in town to work and had some free time to shoot some pool? I did... AT A POOL PLAYING BAR! I found DeMito's on google or yelp. Yelp for this story... I saw the pool tables in the photos so I ventured out. I get there and it is a cool bar with live music, pool tables, slot machines, a busy staff and clicks of people having a good time. Only interested in pool, I put a quarter up to play and instantly drew attention from all the "shooters" in the house. It only took two games before the started phoning a friend. Each friend that came seem to be a little better than the last but not quite the challenge. By the fourth or fifth visit it became old so to speak and pool playing was normal shooting, no more play this guy stuff. Just get in line. Unfortunately, work sent me another direction for me to repeat and I look forward to going back to DEMito's Saloon. Pool players beware! read more

This place has great atmosphere and a great outdoor area. Drink specials are reasonable. HOWEVER, the service is terrible. I don't know if they are short-staffed or just don't care. Every time we come here, we have to beg for a server to get us drinks. This time, there was no bartender outside and EVERYONE was waiting for drinks. Great ambiance and outdoor bar service. I have become a returning customer due to the great service at the bar. The food preparation is excellent. They have plenty of menu items for all appetites. I've had many of their appetizers - all delicious! The indoor ambiance is great as well. The LIVE bands do a great job entertaining the patrons. This is a great looking bar that I last reviewed in 2009 and I'm surprised to Page County has a bar such as this while the crowd can be kind of gruff and typical of your bar presents this is a very clean and Visually appealing bar and this is the epitome of what a bar should be great outside patio great unique walkabouts this location has always had great bars and tomatoes time is without doubts the best bar in Villa Park and lombard. It was so great I had to change my review as I don't really hang around this area where I grew up and love going to different bars and different towns but once I had a recent check in with this bar I was amazed how cool and looking it is. Honestly looks like an interesting bar, but right when we got there and they checked our IDs, we were given the impression that IDs seemed faked and we were more than prepared to show another form of ID but instead of seeing the second IDs we were asked if we spoke Spanish. After we answered they allowed us in like that would be a good question to ask to ensure our IDs were real. We went in, it seemed like a good vibe but after the resolution of what was asked and the atmosphere of the bar, we just couldn't get comfortable at the bar and left. Maybe next time I'll grab a drink since it's been years since I've drank there but that may not be until my next visit. read more

The food is AMAZING! It's always a fun time with the great friendly bartenders, especially my favorite one visiting this summer Tyler! He recommended the Chicken pita but as a wrap and now my wife and I order it all the time! The staff is so nice, professional, friendly, and funny. Tyler always has gone above and beyond which is why I just had my birthday party there. I recommend Demitos too all my EVERYONE. This place is awesome! I could take off a star since they played a Nickelback song while I was there, but the rest of the music was good enough (90s-2000s rock-pop) that I will let it slide... The prices are really decent on the food, which is also delicious. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and tots. NOM. As for drinks, the beer selection was decent enough- nothing too extensive but enough for a varied selection that suits everyone. I loved that the staff all helped one another out with food and rink orders and delivery- very non-pretentious and efficiency minded. The atmosphere is really fun- think kitschy saloon but not too overly cheesy. Definitely a fun casual place to hang out after work. I'll be back, and with friends! read more

This place is an ABSOLUTE dump! Bathrooms are disgusting. Everything is served in a plastic glass. Food come out on a paper plate and not to mention OVERPRICED! The only nice thing is they have a decent outdoor area, but that's about it. It was lively, so I don't understand why the owner wouldn't want to fix things for the health of their patrons. Though not great, this place is certainly better than it used to be. I remember coming here a few years ago and being pretty scared of being shivved on my way to the bathroom. I recall one time when a biker man came up to me and asked what I do for fun, I said that I read books, he then proceeded to ridicule books and anyone who reads them for fun... so much so that my BF and his group of friends felt the need to form a circle around me for protection until our pool game was over. Eep! Today it's a much less seedy place... don't get me wrong, it's still seedy as hell but it ain't what it used to be. They have all the average domestic beers, cheap pitchers, and what looks like good food... if you eat meat. The burgers are HUGE and smell delicious along with being grilled fresh for only a dollar- really, you can't beat that... though I try to uphold my personal pledge to not eat here... I don't trust places that serve greasy spoon style food but are too dark to actually see your food. A few pluses: -outdoor patio (not scenic though) -animal print chairs -pool -jukebox... electronic -cheap food and beverages -the bar will often buy your group a shot or two if you look like you're having a good time A few non pluses -still kind of scary -I've been in here where a biker came in with no shirt on, sat down at the bar, and wore his pet python like a boa... some might consider this a plus but I truly believe in the no shirt, no shoes, no service rule -VERY dark -cops frequent this place to check in... maybe it's a god thing but it's scary that it's a stop on their nightly route. -they have a claw/grabber game with live lobsters in it and if you're able to catch one, they'll cook it up for free. It seems very cruel and those lobsters can't be that well taken care of. Boo to animal cruelty. read more

There are too many flies in this place. Fruit flies everywhere and other flies buzzing all over your food and God knows where. I just hope that none of the thousands of flies that hang out in the urinals in the mens room make it to your plate or pizza. I took a pass on sharing a pizza with a friend because a few flies parked on it first. I mean flies everywhere people. Inside, outside, at the bar and in the restrooms. The people getting hammered there probably dont mind but I would only drink beer out of a bottle in this place as no way do I trust the cleanliness of the glassware. read more

This place is so rowdy, often fights breaking out. Very noisy clientele, appear to be working hard at getting drunk. The combination of drunks and congestion create a scary experience for driving near this place. Food is nothing special, just greasy typical bar food. Not ADA compliant. I brought my service dog to this location and wanted to sit on the patio and they would not allow me to step foot inside and demanded to see my papers. According to the ADA, employees at a business "are not allowed to request any documentation" for a service dog. The American Disability Act (ADA) prohibits both public and private businesses from discriminating against people with disabilities. This was intended to be a quick visit with some friends after traveling all day. I did not have my papers on hand at the moment. This was about an hour to closing time and the patio was mostly empty. I can slightly understand if it was prime time with a full patio, but it wasn't. read more

I've been coming to double d's for the last two years since we live across the street in ovaltine. We loved it, until now. I'm not sure what happened the last few months but the bartenders all seem to be new,(and not great) we loved Jason and he's not here anymore. Sad. Now they have two people in charge of the music who are too busy drinking at the bar to worry about their music, and refuse to listen on customers requests. Seems like they cleaned house with the good employees and hired inexperienced, inadequate, and lazy people. It's a shame ownership ruined this great place we used to love coming to. read more

I'm not 100% sure how to describe this place. It's a cross between a kid friendly place (before 9), a biker bar and a soccer mom Hangout. Their menu is actually really good bar grub. The menu has calorie conscious delicacies like loaded tater tots! Married, but I notice. The bartenders are a really great group topped off by the hot twin - Twins Basil - sisters that run the bar. Jason is the patriarch and seasoned manager who knows just about everyone by name and does a great job of keeping a solid flow. Food is good, not great, but damn good bar food. As one of many bars in the area I think this is the best. I'm not much of a drinker but when i do happen to go out with some of my friends we always end up here and I'm not saying that as a terrible thing. We've never really had any problems whenever we do come here. We're smokers and we've never had a problem finding a seat outside. It's a great atmosphere and you'll always see someone playing bags/jenga. A couple downfalls are that it closes at 2am even on Saturday and it sometimes takes awhile to ask for a drink. But I think the service is great and never had any problems. And to be honest I'd rather come here than a dumpster dive of a bar or a nightclub with dancing. Oh, and of course you will come across really drunk and loud people but they're usually never a problem when I'm there. I hope this helps :) read more

Bleach played there last week, and even though they've packed the place in the past, they got half their agreed payment. Not cool. Beer garden that is super fun and cheeky - stuffed bull over the outside bar, huge oversized chess, bags and these killer table fire pits - can have a great time mingling over a game of deer hunt and finding new friends.
