Great food, perfection poured drinks, all around great experience. While the service was tip-top, the only complaint I have is the bullshit 3% credit card fee. 98% of your customers pay with cards exclusively, and it's posted NOWHERE visible o until the bill shows up after the card was run. Management or owners ship is gouging customers to do business. Very sad, IMO. If it's that big of an expense/burden, work it into your pricing. If not, don't gouge your customers at the end of a great night. read more

First time coming here, my colleagues invited me out here to have a drink with them. Getting there from I-55 was easy but if you're heading back to I-55, it's an absolute pain since each side of the road is full of traffic with no access to a light. I was attracted to the food that was featured here and their 70 cent wing specials. Great variety of drinks and others combos featured here. Staff here was friendly. Great games like darts, basketball or even trying your luck at the slot machines. Decent restrooms, staff was friendly, it was really dimly lit too. I would also add that everything was a bit pricey too but thankfully I came in the afternoon where it was peaceful. I gave it 2 star because the bartender and server were super nice and did a great job. But the food is so bad lol. My burger was raw. It was cold to the touch in the middle. I asked for medium rare and got raw lol. My brother got wings and he couldn't even cut it with a knife because of how rubbery it was. I tasted it and they are freezer burned and crazy priced. 8 small wings for $16. It's a very clean place, super cool inside with arcades and pool tables. Today was my first, and last time at Q bar. TO start with. They didn't clear the snow from parking. That was inconvenient. The bar itself is clean, pleasant, and has good vibe. No issues here. Food quality was good. I would say very good. Portions are decent size. The prices are biting though. Similar meal cost in other chicago bars about 16-17 dollars, not 20+. But that's not a big deal Bands which played today were AMAZING. This is where the good part ends. Service is HORRIBLE. Waitresses are nasty, act entitled and have an attitude problem. I am standing in line behind a dude. He places an order, I start going after him when the waitress literally SNAPS at me and, pointing to two women who came from COMPLETELY different side says "Can't you see they were first?" No. I can't. What I can see, is that when my turn came, you turned away from me, and went to get drinks for your friends. So she gets them their drinks, I raise my hand she looks at me and.... walks away to the back without saying a word. Maybe it was my accent. Maybe it was the color of my skin. Dunno. About 5 minutes later another waitress comes and takes my order. Asks me where to bring it, I tell her "To the room where bands are playing" her response? "I dunno, let me ask the manager". We go to the manager, he looks at the second waitress tells her why does it matter which room I am in and tells her to take my order. Finally, a person with a brain in this place. Okay. I put down an order, they bring up payment screen and... the tip is already selected for me at 25% (!!!!!). So those people not only think that they are owed a tip (despite horrid service), but they actually tell you how much to pay. The audacity and entitlement of those creatures are really amazing. A) YOu are NOT entitled to a tip. B) The size of your tip depends on quality of service. Just some hints for the waitresses at the Q bar. Needless to say she didn't get 25% tip. Not with this crappy service. But this is not the end of how bad it is there. In about 15 minutes a black dude brings me my food. As I said - good quality. Decent portions. I thank him and ask him if it would be possible for me to get a glass of water, and were can I get one? He says that he will tell the waitress to get me one. Half an our later - nobody brought me no water. So there we go. If you want to be treated like this, by all means, to go to the Q bar. Unless you are going there to see a band. I suggest you find other place to give your patronage to. The place is clean. Looks nice. The acoustics in the music room are great. The band were wonderful, the sound operator was SUPER professional. But the service was horrid and the food, though good, is more expensive than the competition. read more

I've been going to the q bars for a while and have met the owner, a very nice guy, and the bar is a cool, nice place, but the staff is horrible in this location. Mainly the dudes who start yelling at you to leave 20 minutes before they are closed. I was playing pool when I set down my cue and the base split, likely due to it already being cracked. I went up to one of the staff and explained what happened and the staff member said they would look at the footage when another staff member came over and said no we won't show you the footage and were going to charge me for it anyways. I walked back to my pool table and at the end of the night when I went to pay I tried to politely explain that legally they could only charge me for the stick if I was being negligent, which I was not. I told them if they could show me footage of myself being negligent I would happily pay. They said they would not do that and I still had to pay. They clearly didn't understand how the law works and were just on a power trip at this point. I even offered to leave my number for a manger or the owner to follow up and they also refused this, claiming I had to pay right away. So I asked for my id back and they still refused. It wasn't until I mentioned getting police involved that they immediately gave me my id back, proving they knew they were in the wrong and were just being difficult. As they gave me my id back they told me I was banned from all q bars and started shouting insults at me about being poor and many other random rude things. Every time I come here this same skinny Mexican man who "works" there (still to this day not sure what he actually does) always gets into altercations with people where he is almost always in the wrong, often times clearly intoxicated as well. I like this bar and the huge potential it has, but until the staff gets managed properly and the staff stops picking fights with people then I can't recommend it. A pretty typical looking sports bar with some fun games. It can get pretty busy at times and service can be really slow even getting out a menu. Q Bar is maybe the only place in Darien to play pool it seems. Has kind of a trashy atmosphere combined with a sports bar. There's only a few beers on tap, some interesting sounding and not too expensive cocktails, plus typical bar food not at all healthy. Came in because there was a game. It was getting kind of crowded but it was mainly just loudness. This really wasn't that busy even on a weekend. Got a seat at the bar. Met some interesting regulars. Had a drink. The Liquid Marijuana sounded fun and funny. It's about $7.75 for a pretty big cup. This is made with Blue Chair Rum, Blue Curaçao, Captain Morgan, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and sour mix. I know a lot about the other forms of marijuana, but liquid was something else. This has a kind of sweet and sour taste. As for the food I had a Pub Pretzel. It's about $7 for a pretty big one. This comes with cheese but you can get it with mustard too. For sure it's not a classy establishment. It also has a few carnival kinds of games to play. They have a chilled and easygoing ambiance, lots of regulars mixed with "new folk" and everyone gets along, you can be loud just not obnoxious since it's a big place. This is definitely a cute little bar that has TVs to watch games as well as games you can play that you also have to pay for but the pricing is not bad at all very affordable and you can definitely have a good time. Playing some darts or pool, basketball, beer pong, and many more actually. They also have Jukebox you can select the music. Honestly my server wasn't the best I didn't enjoy her service she seemed to have attitude and seemed she was annoyed of us not sure why when we tipped and took care of her but it's whatever I still enjoyed everything anyways. Wow I gave 4 stars a couple of month ago, I guess I was feeling generous. Upon entry, they now have a staff checking IDs at the door. Even on a weeknight which I was surprised. Also, the entire bar smells like weed. Service was incredibly slow and it wasn't busy inside. My server barely had a voice and was vaping all night long. Our food took like 30 minutes. Update: I have finally returned and although their pool tables are still limited, it seems they've started to sort out some of the quality and service concerns from when I stopped coming here. Their menu is revamped and we love their nachos and cheese curds, they have a chipotle aioli that's pretty fantastic too. The bathrooms are fairly clean, could definitely use some TLC and repairs but overall used to be way worse. I would suggest more dart boards since they almost always seem to be pretty busy when we go but all in all, I would recommend giving this bar a chance if you're looking for something to do - but if your heart is set on playing pool, try their location on 63rd. You know I heard about this bar and was really excited because they are known for having many game options including indoor bags. Ordered a Long Island, first, they only used one bottle of liquor and so much coke... one of the worst I've had. Finally started playing the games, started with beer pong.. wow the balls were so light could barley reach the other side of the table, also the cups were all different sizes. Tried to play some bags...wow the boards were so slippery none of the bags actually stayed on the board. To be known for games but to have such low quality equipment is very disappointing. Got hungry struggled figuring out what to order, I ended up going with the chicken quesadillas came with salsa and sour cream. The guy giving out pool sticks also asked for $20 cash to skip the line which I'm sure he's picketing as we've never been charged in the past... don't recommend coming here. I will never step foot in this bar again. I frequent this bar pretty regularly for karaoke and bands. Saturday I bought a table to see a band that I like that was playing with a second band that I really had no intention of seeing had they not been playing with the band I bought the tickets for. Yesterday I was notified that the band I was going to see had canceled due to illness. So I requested a refund and was denied by the bar saying that the lineup is subject to change. What kind of nonsense is this. You buy a ticket for a band, they cancel and they won't refund your ticket? That is just horrible customer service and downright shady. This bar will never get another penny from me or any of my family or friends. Hope they go out of business. read more

Have to say that there is potential here however the table service is terrible. We came to see High Fidelity. We waited an hour before each time our waitress came to us. We had to close out our tabs and go to the bar which was beeytwe but still had slow service. My friend waited an hour for her food order and little was said or done to acknowledge the poor service. Avoid as a music venue. To start on a positive note, it seems like a satisfactory place for beer and burgers and playing bean bag toss games if that's your thing. Our server Jordan was excellent, the burgers hit the spot and the beer was reasonably priced. A group of friends from a 30 mile radius agreed to meet there for a cover band we like. We had fun getting together, but QBar was a disaster. First, no one ever answers the phone, which alone says the place is poorly managed. Second, they had no record of our online table reservation and we had to prove it with documentation on our phone. Third, the band was hours late, despite that it was a slower Saturday night. The music room opened at 7 with the gig scheduled to start at 8. At 10 the warm up band, which was awful, played a 30 minute set and left the stage dark with no signs of life for 10 minutes. My coworker and I stopped in here after a very long week. It was pretty empty when we got there, but soon it was full of people and one of the side rooms seemed to have a band playing in it. The drink specials were pretty good and we were greeted by a bartender shortly after taking a seat. The menu was long and had a ton of different options, but we just ordered some appetizers to split. The food was pretty good, but the Italian egg rolls were the best dish we ordered. They were fresh and crispy with a good spice to them. Overall, I might come back. Stear clear of the waitress Marian M. I think? Our waitress was seemingly on drugs or just completely unaware that she was working. Added friends food onto my bill, when I told her that it was not mind she stated "its already been ran so I don't know what you want me to do" I told her to remove it from my check because it was not mine, she said "oh yeah that's going to take a while" and walked away. Place charges your card before giving you your check so you can make sure it's correct, and when they give you you check, it's not and itemized list. Just a total. After speaking to a manager, the person who got their food added to my check got their food for free, and I have to wait a few days to get my money back. On 12/22/23 Jessie aggressively tells me no ID I can't let you in, I told her that I'm only doing a takeout order and I'm leaving, she repeated herself saying that if you don't leave I will remove you from the premise. I asked for management and Jessie kept trying to physically put her hands on me to stop me from waiving for a manager. When Casey finally saw me she yelled at me never gave me an opportunity to say im only here for food To go. Both employees were in my face attracting more people to corner me and people kept making threats. Both employees were told that I'm waiting on the police because I was documenting the behavior when Jessie tried to push me I moved her hand. Both employees lied to the police and said I had a firearm, that I spit on them and that I hit them to have me detained. We were rushed out of the live band area at the end of the show, everyone was chanting for an encore and security and staff rushed them off stage, seemed unnecessary. After that we were aggressively told to exit that area....like really, we just dropped 700 bucks in food and drinks, came to see live music and treated that way...just seemed a bit of a buzz kill..Words of advice, you are a host, act like one.... read more

This is probably the worst bar I have ever been too. Every employee gave us a hard time about everything. The pool table rates are ridiculously priced. When we tried to get a pool table we were assigned to table one and then a regular customer came in and told the employee that he wanted that table so then we had to move tables even tho we are paying the same. Obvious favoritism. We asked a waitress if we could get some drinks and she refused and gave us attitude and said why would she help get us drinks if we already opened a tab with a different waitress and she said that she wouldn't make any money doing that for us so why would she do it. Showed up for opening day of NFL football to watch the Bears and I've got two screens on the Bears game two on other games,golf and I have a car auto auction on multiple screens. What what a travesty. No audio for the game as well. They are allowing the Jukebox to be played during the game. . When the jukebox is not on, the audio is for the Philadelphia Washington game and not the hometown Bear audio??? AND only one bartender for entire place. ON OPENING DAY. Came to see LOUDERNOW a couple of weeks ago. The guy at the door was super friendly and i had no problems getting in and out of the place a few times. This place is HUGE. The stage is at an area at the side so that kind of separates the music crowd from the rest of the people there. Only issue for me having so much tables in front of the stage which barely leaves room to dance or whatever it is you do during a show. Overall i really enjoyed the place and now that i'm living closer i will be back there for sure. read more
