The menu is simply on point, love the burgers myself, love the chicken noodle soup and the fries. Serve time can vary depending how busy they are. Younger crowd comes here often. I frequent this bar the past month every other day. Drinks are good. Depending on bartender drinks can be weak to strong. TONS to do, bags, another standalone bar in a concert room with more tables for beer pong, darts and of course pool as well as slots and a juke. Dance floor and weekly events. Tons of TVs covering most sport channels. Staff is great, service times can vary depending on business, relations with the staff are great and friendly. Literally didn't even make it into the bar. I have a nut allergy and called ahead of time to see what oil they used to fry their food. I think the guys name is nick or Matt? First my bf called to ask and he was told that they didn't have an answer for him. I called back and tried asking again and when the guy said the same thing "I don't have an answer for you" I asked if he could go to the kitchen and ask because I was wanting to try this place out. He once again said "I don't have an answer for you. Maybe I'll have an answer for you in 15 minutes so call back." And I hung up the phone. Like really? I walked in on a Monday that happened to be a holiday. Since we were both off, we thought we should try something fun like shooting some pool. Having lived close by for three years, I have never tried it just given the outward appearance. My instincts appear to have been accurate. It is very dark and dingy inside. Two of us walked in around 1pm and, given that it was a holiday, there were a fair amount of people inside. There was what looked like a host stand near the door. However, no one was behind it. We walked up and stood there for a minute and then thought perhaps we should just go find a table. So we walked passed the bar and no one even looked up at us. There were several pool tables already being occupied and there were even some children so it appears to be family friendly. We walked up to a table to look if perhaps there was a coin slot to start the tables ourselves and perhaps that's why no one was greeting us. There was not. After doing a full circle around the place, still no one came up to us so we were quite confused on what we were supposed to do. There was another counter in the back that looked to be either where you obtained pool sticks, etc. or a place where you could purchase merchandise. So we stood here for about five minutes. An employee walked close by and we figured he was coming to greet us and just give us access to a pool table, which is all we wanted. But he stopped before he reached us and started loading up a plate from a nearby buffet without even acknowledging us. Finally after being in there for nearly 10 minutes and walking around to multiple spots within the establishment (again, just to simply get a pool table), we just walked out and vowed never to go in again. I should have listened to my gut feeling that the place was not somewhere I would want to patron. Q Billiards looks like an amazing place as you walk in and see everything that is going on. There are pool tables, lots of tables to sit at and drink, a couple of separate bars, and a back room for bands. We went here to see Local H: Local H was amazing but we were really disappointed with the bar and the employees. The place was packed and there were only one or two bartenders behind each large bar. It took nearly 40 minutes to get a beer and I was standing AT the bar- not even in a line! Some areas are not well thought out in terms of space. Been a long time customer of Q Bar and partner locations - particularly Quarry Pub and Grill in Lemont. My wife even sponsored a large company party at Q Bar earlier this year. However on the most recent visit, it was clear that the management attitude has changed. Firstly, arrived with my family and we ordered Mac n cheese for my 7 year old son off the kids menu, and he received Jalapeño Mac n Cheese (not appropriate for kids). Was told by the server " that's the only kind we have". Secondly, we finished our dinner (almost $80) and went outside to finish our drinks while our sons played the claw stuffed animal game just inside the door. We were confronted outside by a member of management, who said that our kids cannot be inside unsupervised. I asked what they were doing and was told " we have a lot of drunks here, and your kids might get abducted and we don't want that responsibility". Seriously, that was the response. I gathered up my sons and finished up and left. I told the same employee on the way out "you don't have to worry about us anymore, because we are leaving". Another employee came over and got verbal and said " we aren't here to babysit your kids". I kept asking what the problem was and was finally told " we are more of a nightclub and not a place for kids". I responded that they should change the entry requirements to 21 and over and get rid of the kids menu if that is the case. If you were like us and viewed Q Bar as a good daytime and early evening family place, beware that as the manager stated " we are more of a nightclub and aren't here to babysit kids". Meh is right. This seems like the place to be if you're under 25 and don't really care about bar standards (I watch too much bar rescue.). This place has a dingy vibe, but a lot to keep people entertained and cheap drinks. The entertainment comes with the multiple pool tables, indoor bag sets, and a separate room for bands. It's nice that it's separate, because I like having the choice on whether my ears get assaulted or not. When we walked in on a Saturday, they said there was a cover... but then the bouncer changed his mind because we were a larger group who "looked nice". But a few people decided to check out the band and then got charged in that room, so what's the point? And would you get charged twice if you paid at the door?? The bartenders were friendly, but my guy ordered a beer from a bottle and it was definitely tasting a little skunky. I don't know how much care is kept in managing inventory and cleanliness. There's a big sign when you walk in about underage people being prosecuted or something, so I'm guessing that's also a big problem. Just not my kind of scene. read more

This place is great and is an easy drive right off of I-55 if you are in the southern or south western suburbs near Darien. It's my favorite billiards/pool hangout that I bring my friends to when we're looking for a good time. They have many coin tables that take special coins after you place your money into the machine. Cues can be rented for $1 after you give your drivers license, and chalk and powder are readily available. They have larger tables that you can rent out (I forget the price, but it was very reasonable from what I remember), and a full stocked bar with tons of good food to snack on. The best thing, is that while everything is good -- they don't charge you an arm and a leg for it. I recommend Q's and if you live in the area, you should definitely try it if you're looking to play some pool! read more

This is the second time we've been to this location for trivia night, and the second time we've received absolutely terrible service. The first time we had to chase our waitress down for waters, and we seemed to be inconveniencing her about getting us water. Not to mention, it was a hassle just to order food. The second (and last time) we went to this location we barely saw our server. She took our orders and it took the kitchen over 45 minutes to get us 2 orders of potato skins, a burger, and a wrap. Not only did it take forever, but my wrap came out completely wrong (server made excuses over how she didn't know her own menu) and each and every one of our meals was BURNT. The food was tasteless and overall just a real disappointment. I understand a slow kitchen, however, when your serving staff are completely incompetent on how to serve customers and then your kitchen completely burns our food on top of it, that's just terrible training and management. December 2013. Slow service would be an improvement. By far the worst service I have ever encountered. I ordered a wrap and a side salad and my wife ordered a burger as well as fried pickles as an appetizer. We ordered before more of our party arrived. They ordered wings about 10 min after us and they got their meal on about 15 mins, ours still came out 10 after theirs. They didn't even bring our fried pickles out and added fries to our bill and didn't even bring it out. We asked to take the fries off our bill and not even bother with the pickles. The bartender came to our table and asked if we were sure we didn't want the fries. Really? We never ordered them, but he insisted. Who is the guy walking around with the collared shirt? Is he not the manager? If it wasn't for the better choice of beer i would give this place 1 star. It was a BUSY BUSY night last night being Black Wednesday. But I was impressed woth the laid back professionalism of the staff, particularly a woman with long blonde pony tail in glasses behind the bar. She made my night really easy by taking a couple minutes to answer questions instead of getting huffy and running away like some servers elsewhere might. She deserves a stellar review, especially since I felt badly about knowing that questions on a busy night are annoying. The door men were even wonderful and so was security, even the food was great! Shrimp tacos on point! If I had anything to grumble about it was the old music (top ten) blasting on the speakers--and the crowd that attracts (chads and karens), but you can easily get away from that by slipping into the party room for some live music... I DO WISH THEY WOULD HIRE BANDS THAT ARE NOT JUST COVER BANDS... (SNORE!) Original music and talent please! That is why I'm deducting one star, they need to open their minds a lot more in this direction. Well, what can be said about this establishment? I've only been here a couple of times, but that's enough to observe that this place is pretty cool. This establishment is rather large and offers a multitude entertainment options: bean bags, darts, Foosball, arcade games, pool and watching sporting events. I've noticed that the college-age kids stick to playing bean bags, which is free to play. There are 4 stations at which to play, and I can only assume that the game becomes highly amusing after a couple of drinks to test one's dexterity. I have to admit that I played a couple of times, but stopped in germaphobe disgust when I noticed a huge plume of dust escaping a bean bag that had hit the floor beneath a lamp. I don't know how often they replace those bean bags, but judging from the dust, I'd have to say never. Just adjacent to the bean bags, they have a row of electronic dart boards. I don't think it's much fun to play darts because I didn't see anyone approach that gaming area. Perhaps it's not as fun to play if there's no danger of accidentally impaling someone. Completely across the room are the Foosball tables. They have 3 Tornadoes in really great shape. They have doubles Foosball tournaments every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Your partner is picked randomly with a deck of cards, so it's difficult to win time after time. The tournament coordinator even brings balls so the tournament isn't played with crappy ones. The game isn't only for guys as I've seen a couple of gals playing in the tournament. Next to the Foosball tables are the arcade games. They have games like golf and a punching bag and a hunting game and a couple more, but I've never paid attention to these games; however, people do play them. This place really caters to pool-playing, and it doesn't disappoint. There are about 20 pool tables in great shape. The pool tables draw in a multitude of players from Asian business men (well, I can only assume they were business men because they arrived and played in dress shirts, slacks and loafers) to skinny hipsters and their paramours--oh, did I mention this place is great for people watching? Maybe I'm just easily amused, but I digress. They have pool playing specials, but you have to inquire when they are or check their website. You can watch sporting events like baseball or mixed martial arts at the bar area or near the bean bags where it's projected on a large screen. These sporting events are not obnoxiously playing, though. Apparently, there is live entertainment here once in a while--though it's not really advertised. This place does a great job of separating the areas so people don't having bean bags flying in front of their faces as they're taking a pool shot. Also, there are many tables and ledges quite cleverly placed around the establishment where you can lay your pitcher of Bud Light or your purse. As for the food, I've only tried a couple of appetizers. They're tasty, but don't expect freakish portions. I reckon you would have to get a couple of appetizers to get full. They do have sandwiches, wraps and wings, but I haven't tried them yet. Overall, I would say this place is great. I give it 4 stars because there's lots to do, everything is adequately spaced out so there's no crowding, and it's where I discovered Bud Light (yay!). I need to taste the sandwiches, etc before I can give it 5 stars. My only beef with this joint is that the music playing overhead is either all right or boring. I'm just glad they don't play "trendy" music . . . actually, nevermind. I guess the music is pretty good. I think I would go insane if they played Katy Perry or whoever the heck is "in" right now. read more

Place is a rip off! Avoid at all cost! Attempted to see Big bang Baby on 10/16 and was told $60-$80 table required for entry! Really! WTF! If it was a covid thing could of fooled me as the front end of the bar and dining was wide open with no masks etc. we left and later heard from others who attended that the bartenders were gouging on drinks and the prices were all over the place etc. Just another shit hole bar trying to make a buck! I have seen two bands there and both were heavy metal - made me leave and go next door to cornerstone which has much better tastes in music. ZERO STARS!! Had a horrible experience!!! We came in for trivia night. They weren't even packed. We sat there for 65 minutes weren't even brought menus. The manager came to the table next to us multiple times obviously they were friends or regulars. We tried to flag a server for 30 minutes. Finally someone came to us and they assured us someone was coming right over. THEY NEVER CAME! Another 25 minutes passed (we were distracted with trivia questions) still no one.
