It was fun talking to Stacey and Kristine and hearing their stories about their prior lives and how they ended up opening a local glass studio. The team let us know after we had finished our class that it'd take a few weeks before we could come pick up our finished goods and they'd e-mail us once ready. Unfortunately, we never got the e-mail but went ahead and called in after a few weeks and confirmed we could go pick things up. The pieces came out in ways we didn't expect, but overall very happy with how the glass came out and I accept user errors regarding my lack of artistic capabilities.

I've taken a few classes here and if you've ever been interested in stained glass or fusing (or if…read moreyou're skilled already and need to buy glass/supplies) this is the place to go! I tried a one time class (3 hours) in the winter and made a snowflake and it made me want to try more classes out and learn how to do bigger pieces- and they have a lot of class variety and dates. I did their 6 week copper foil class and then a 4 week stained lead class. Kris and Lisa are both amazing instructors! I learned so much utilizing the two different techniques, and they're so helpful and knowledgable- always making themselves available to answer any questions you have. You can also use the workshop space outside of class time if you signed up for the 4 or 6 week classes (call ahead and make sure no other classes are going on). I haven't been able to do any fusing classes yet but I hear from everyone who has taken any that they're so fun. They also do repairs and sell stained glass pieces inside- They got it all!

It's not exclusive like many galleries and all it takes to participate is an annual membership (which is shockingly cheap). The staff is very friendly and eager to chat.

When I visit this gallery, they had art about birds. Not only they had paintings but there were screenprints and magnets too. I was disappointed there wasn't more birds because there's a lot of species. The location is where Sa-Ten is located along with galleries and shops. I love this place as much as the kids do- it's an open invite to play and create anything they want to. The staff here is so friendly and I've seen them build a house out of cardboard (from scratch) for a little girl. We are frequent flyers here, if we have an open morning this is easily our top spot to go to. First, the play area is so fun. It's interactive, it leaves room for imagination, and it's always pretty organized. My two year old girl and four year old boy both find things to do and have fun. They have a group canvas kids can add to but also easels set up for them to paint their own creations. The craft area set up is great. Each table is sort of set up with an idea/concept like water coloring, paint pens, a jewelry bead bar for them to make bracelets and necklaces. The supplies are there for your kids to create. They take donations or recycled items like applesauce twist tops, cardboard tubes, etc. these are all available to use. Surprisingly my two year old LOVES to watercolor and all the stickers. I'm waiting for one of their adult nights because I am so serious when I say the vibes are great here. They also have a gift shop in the front entrance with items they use in the studio plus a lot of gift able items. I can never resist looking at what fun new things they have. Every single item in the shop would make a great gift for somebody. They were just starting…read moreout, mostly toys, and I bought a pull-toy dinosaur for my (faux) niece, which Sarah customized by woodburning the girl's name on it. Super cute piece, much loved by the recipient. Since then, I've seen their work around town, and it is getting better and better! Terry is mastering the art of fine woodwork and the types of pieces they produce is vast - lamps, goblets, furniture, whatever. I've also bought beautiful bowls with finials. Super creative work from a highly skilled (and fun) team.
