Pyle Fence put in a fence and gate for us a few years ago. They did a great job. Last Friday, I emailed them because another contractor had done some work on our house and damaged the gate in the process. So I needed an estimate for repairs. Pyle called me within an hour and said they could have someone come over on Monday morning. Wayne from Pyle called me over the weekend to say he'd be there first thing Monday and to check on some details. Monday morning it was freezing cold and windy, but Wayne showed up on time, assessed the situation, and completed the work in 25 minutes! Then he said, "No charge!" I had a 2:15 PM appointment no one showed up so I called at 2:45 PM and spoke to someone there to see if they were still coming, they said they would get right back to me so $:15 I get a call oh by the way sorry I forgot to write the appointment in the book!!! We bought a black aluminum fence that looks like wrought iron along with 3 custom size gates. 2 workers came out and did the job in 1 day. Pyle Fence installed my aluminum fence for a reasonable price using materials I had purchased on clearance from Lowes. I deducted 2 stars for the extremely frustrating lack of communication and 1 star for not installing the fence panels correctly. I signed a contract at the end of June 2020 with an estimated mid-Aug installation. I know contractors have been extremely busy during Covid-times, so the long wait and the eventual Sep 23 installation didn't bother me. But Bob Heckman told me over and over of plans to stake the job or install the fence and each time, the day came and went with no acknowledgement and no response for days. There was a point where I didn't hear anything for so long that I started researching how to get my deposit back through legal means. This was very frustrating and poor customer service. When they finally did install the fence, it was installed in a day, which was great. But the installer installed it with the bottom rail flush against the ground, not the 2" gap that is supposed to be used for these types of fences. This made it look unattractive, especially adjacent to the gates, which due to the grading, required ~3" gap, so the transition from no gap to 3" gap was much more drastic. read more

I had pyle fence put a fence in, in spring, From the day they were finished I had issues with the gate, I told them I wanted a handle on it and to be able to open it with one hand, they didn't do like I asked however they sent a couple of people to try to fix it, Now it's worse than ever. At one point Victor H, said his boss would come out to take care of it, I couldn't pronounce his name it started with a G and he told me he was 2nd in command at pyle. One minute he was very pleasant and then he would get really rude, the last thing he said I can get you two new post and a gate I said ok ty and then he said let me try something and made it worse than it was and I said I'd rather have the new posts and gate and then he yelled at me and said well your going have sign a new contract. I turned around and walked in my house and he started calling I didn't answer and this made him more angry, he then threated me, If you don't talk to me you get nothing! One more time Victor H and another man came to fix it and I just said ok ty and it worse yet, but I was so tired of trying to get it fixed, it now hangs open if you don't latch it, now the gate sags and the 2 fences by the gate are very unlevel. I called a few times to talk to the owner and all you get is the answer service and no response and then I sent emails and still no response. Their customer service is the worst, the only pleasant thing about them was Mr. Victor H. He was always professional and kind. I would never recommend them. read more

Pyle Fence allowed someone to get into their email and send a scam email from it to my sister-in-law. Then, when she ended up getting taken for more than $1200, the manager of the company said it "wasn't their problem." Don't trust this business. read more

Signed contract in April, was told there would be a June install date. End of June I started trying to contact Bob Heckman, who returns only 1 in 10 messages you leave him. After asking 20 times, was finally told the fence was never ordered - NEW install date would be "sometime in September". I told them to give me my deposit back. The best thing I can say about them is that they did refund my deposit. Don't waste your time - call literally anyone else. read more

Pyle Fence offered us the best price comparing to the larger company I called up for the estimates. I personally spoke with the owner and discussed the price of the fence with an automatic gate. Pyle Fence is a small local family own business company, they offered the lower price with the best quality of installation and great services. I do not understand the review of 1 star given and complaint about the service. read more

Not a great experience. Took 2 months to get installed. When I inquired about date of install numerous times, was told someone would get in touch,they never did. I would leave messages, but they would not return my calls. When they finally installed, they apparently didn't contact Miss Utilities, because they sliced the cable that feeds my townhouse complex, causing a loss of internet phone,and TV services for 10 hours to numerous residents, many working from home and dependent on internet. Reading some other reviews, it sounds like this is standard operating procedure. Not good. read more

My wife CALLED and left 2 MESSAGES two weeks ago and no response. I heard this was a good company so I was patient. This company is extremely difficult to get ahold of a real " employee " - I left several messages (along with an email) with their answering service in regards to a sliced phone wire outback during a fence repair. This left my family without an alarm system, television and home phone. Still have not received a phone call back. Completely unacceptable. read more

May 2018. Pyle put in my fence years ago but now when it came time for a small repair they were unable to follow through. I've gotten the run around for almost 2 months; leading me to believe they would help me. I was told on many occasions that the part I needed was ordered when in fact it was not. I signed the order and gave my credit card. I understand it is a small job but small jobs lead to big jobs. I should be able to turn to the company who installed the fence. I called and asked to speak with the owner or manager twice and did not receive a call back. Obviously not concerned with customer service. I need a new fence and will go elsewhere. read more

We used Pyle to build a fence in our Baltimore County yard. They offered the lowest price of 3 companies who provided quotes. Despite telling us that it would be 6 weeks before the installation could be scheduled, we were able to schedule installation within 1.5 weeks of making a deposit. Communication with the crew prior to installation was reliable, and on the installation day they showed up on time. The 2 men worked hard all day, and would have finished if it hadn't started storming in the late afternoon. They came back the next morning (Saturday) bright and early to finish off the job. Our fence looks great and keeps our dog from wandering uninvited into the neighbors' yards. It was a satisfying and efficient process all around. read more

I began looking for a fence installer in October of 2015 to have installed in Spring 2016. Pyle Fence was one of three companies that I received quotes from. The main reason that I went with them was because the sales person had a nice attitude and he offered to fix a metal rail in my front yard the was dented. All three contractors were within $200 of one another. My installation date was at the end of March 2016. The "co-owner" came to my house early that morning telling me that he'd been to my house three times (prior to installation date) to make sure that he had correct measurements and that I would be thrilled with the finished product. I had to leave for work, but left my Father at my home in case something additional was needed. When I returned home, there were two guys finishing up the fence. I spoke to them and let them finish working. When they were finished, I looked at the installation and immediately noticed some slanting on several top sections of the fence, in addition to two gaps under the bottom of the front of the fence. When I mentioned it to the workers they said that was the best they could do, due to the ground being unleveled. Huh ... That started my confusion. If the "co-owner" was there three times to measure (prior to the installation), should there be these slants and gaps. I didn't think so. The workers also didn't speak fluid English, so I ended up calling the "co-owner" to discuss my concerns and asked him to come and take a look at the fence. He said he wasn't available until four days later. When he got there and saw the fence he initially began telling me the same story about the :ground be un-leveled) and I said to him that the pictures on the brochure didn't display slanted and gapped fences and that wasn't the image that I wanted for my fence. After a few minutes, he said that he could have a few adjustments made to the tops of the side panels; didn't do anything for the front gaps and/or slants. Fast forward to a week and a half later. I'm putting out my trash and see a city citation on the front of my fence for having the fence installed without a permit. I immediately called the co-owner who said that he would have the sales person call me back ... and he never did. As it turned out (when I got home and reviewed my contract), I was responsible for getting the permit and had completely forgotten due to the gap in the initial contract estimate lapse and the installation. Either way ... I would've expected Pyle Fence to inquire about it at some point during installation. I get upset every time I look at my slanted and gapped fence and regret that I chose Pyle for the installation, as opposed to one of the other two. Beware of the lack of quality job you might get from the less experienced workers ... and the lack of response you might get if you call with an issue!!! I sure wish someone would've given me a clue before I invested my money with them. read more

I hired Pyle fence to install a fence around my back yard prior to my moving into the house. Within two weeks of the installation the wood was cracking, splitting, warping and shrinking. When I ordered the fence I was told they use seasons wood which they did not. I called and complained about the condition of the fence on May 28, 2015 I was told they would have someone check it out. Two weeks later someone came to look at the issues, that was the second week of June. I showed the them the problems only to be told they would fix the post with the major crack in it. They didn't want to fix the warped boards at all, I said no, they were going to be replaced. I was told we'll see. I didn't hear from them again until July 27, 2015. They fixed the one post and three warped boards on July 29. This still left me with several cracking posts, wood that is splitting and shrinking. I ordered a privacy fence but now have a fence that has uneven spaces between the slats not to mention they are bowing in all directions. The quality of the wood is poor. They used wood with so many knots that as the wood shrinks the knots are cracking weakening the entire fence not to mention the cracks in the posts. When they nailed the wood together there was no care taken. The nail lines on the gates are uneven just all other the place. It look like a group of amateurs constructed the fence. For this they charged $3500. What they did, the quality of wood, workmanship and customer service is deplorable. Not to mention how incompetent and rude the office woman/manager. Think twice about this one. read more
