We had to totally redo the whole thing. We contracted with Hector, who was outstanding in terms of understanding our aesthetic and also communicating to us. On the rare occasion when there were delays, he stayed in touch with us and he and his crew could not have been more professional and helpful. And added plus is that they were immaculate. This was especially important as they were regrading much of our area. We could not be more pleased with the results. Would highly recommend him and his crew

Having moved into a house in Sun City Palm Desert in late September, we realized that the very bare back patio needed some serious attention. We met Hector in October and really liked his approach to drawing up a new look for our garden. All we had were several of the usual boxwoods, caesalpinia, and a lime tree. The new image had to be colorful so we approved the 5 yellow trumpet flower bushes because we love the hummingbirds and pollinators so much. Two additional spots would be occupied by two very generous ocotillos, always a favorite. We needed front and back faucets to be upgraded and a regular maintenance team as the spring season requires. We made a date for work to start in early December due to all of our personal commitments. The initial crew worked to rearrange the rocks in the patio area and set up the plantings. They are hard-working and knowledgeable and we appreciated the changes they made. Scheduling is easy with Hector because he responds to messages quickly and he is flexible and understands the importance of the client's needs. This past week the team arrived to prep the ground in the semi-circle of turf and to rearrange the rocks and clean up. We watched them work so hard from early morning to dusk and the results are pretty wonderful!! Should you decide to engage Hector's team you will be impressed by his obvious enthusiam for producing high quality results.

We were interested in resurfacing with their patented materials. Everyone we meet from Claudia to Jose the primary installer was very friendly and knowledgeable. They cleaned, sanded and cut straight stress lines in the cement to control cracks and then applied 6 coats of material to make the patio shine and look like new. Jose was amazing and helped us with unrelated tasks that needed two people to complete. We are very happy with Restora.

"Restora" is under new management and it is now called "Desert Concrete Restoration." I think the…read moresame crew is doing the same crap job because I've seen the photos from other reviews and I experienced the same negligent job. BE CAREFUL OF BOTH COMPANIES AND DO NOT HIRE THEM. I hired Desert Concrete Restoration to do a smooth concrete overlay to fix the terrible stamped concrete that another company did. However, Desert Concrete Restoration left a worse job than what they attempted to fix. I personally observed her crew members openly smoke marijuana ON THE JOB SITE (one of them would leave the job site to obtain his fentanyl fix from the drug house down the street and is now in recovery, which I PERSONALLY observed). Another crew member was the owner's son, who only worked for 2 hours per day. As a result of her crew's open and reckless drug use: (1) this job was ongoing for 2 months because the crew has had to fix their mistakes 4 TIMES, as they were not able to get the surfacing right; (2) the expansion joints are ALL crooked (only one was done correctly) and cut jaggedly and in a zig-zagged pattern, with cut marks laden throughout the sides of the concrete because the person who did the cutting job would openly smoke blunts while working; (3) the finishing is lumpy, uneven, and has excessive trowel marks, which are unevenly distributed; (4) there is no finishing or beveling on the sides of the concrete, which is similarly uneven, lumpy, and has dried sealant drip marks (despite the previous company's negligent work, the sides of the concrete were at least finished. Desert Concrete Restoration even ruined already-straight sides and finish); (5) the crew forgot, on a daily basis, due to the fact that they were working while high, to cover the filters of my pool, so concrete collected in the filter (one of them forgot a screwdriver in the skimmer for about 2 months). As a result, (a) I had to pay out of pocket to have the filter changed before the regular due date; (b) the owner of the company, when sealing the concrete unevenly and unprofessionally, broke the plug of the filter cartridge, which flooded my property and required me to incur additional out of pocket costs; (c) due to the fact that so much concrete dust (and a screwdriver) collected in the autofill filter, the autofill broke and the pool flooded concurrently to the owner breaking the filter plug, thus exacerbating the flooding of my property and causing me additional out of pocket costs. I priced fixing their mistakes and the quotes were in the $20,000 range. DON'T HIRE EITHER COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY. I've reported Desert Concrete Restoration to the California State Licensing Board and anyone who is a victim of their crew working under the influence should do the same. As a response to Anthony P's post: I believe this is a fraudulent response. I have never contracted with Anthony P., I've never communicated with Anthony P., and I have absolutely no idea how Anthony P. knows about my job. However, if there was nothing wrong with the job, then there would be nothing to communicate with me about to "fix," right? I think people who read this will be smart enough to discern the fraud, particularly from the contradictory response. Nonetheless, I have absolutely no idea who Anthony P. is and why he is responding. PLEASE EVERYONE BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT HIRE THEM!!

Guillermo was very patient with all my questions and took the time to explain every step of the way. The Desert Pride team completed the project within the proposed time frame. After requesting an estimate thru Yelp, we were immediately contacted by Desert Pride's owner and then our Project Manager, Ruben Aceves. Ruben called to discuss our project and then came out to our home within a day. He was extremely polite and accommodating, yet unassumingly confident. He listened, asked some questions, made some very insightful recommendations, took some pictures and sent us a solid estimate as promised. Once we retained them, Ruben was our phenomenal daily point of contact. He worked with us closely to understand and meet our every wish. He came to the house every day and texted throughout the day to let us know who was coming, when and what to expect. Ruben was so knowledgeable and laid back that he gave us advice on things we were considering doing outside their scope of work. (i.e. new front doors thru Home Depot and some flooring thru a friend of a friend.) The project turned out more beautifully than we imagined. Everything was completed on time and there were no surprises on pricing or timeliness. Even when we changed our minds on some of the details, Ruben didn't flinch or hit us up with a change order. I can't promise that everyone will get such amazing treatment, because we're just one customer, but I'll never consider anyone other than Desert Pride for any future needs.

Mind you, I had three walls I wanted done. Well, to do all three was a lot more than I expected. But, I had contacted five people about the project and Brickdancer was one of the three that returned my inquiry. Another was cheaper, but I didn't get the sense they were reliable, since it took two weeks for him to come out and another week to get a bid in, after I reminded him. Another told me that he just didn't want to do the work. He said it was a lot of work and he didn't want to be on one job for so long. Brickdancer was the sole company that felt good, and I'm so glad I went with him! There was no worry about anything, as Lee kept me informed the whole way. During the project, Lee would let me know what was done, what was planned, and he gave great advice. The job started and finished without interruption. They work fast, did the filling with the City, got the permit and inspections, and kept the area clean. Fact is, Lee was so great that I added to the project and had him pour a new driveway. I do have more to do, but I have other work that needs to happen first. Once the next concrete and wall project is ready, I won't call for bids. I will call Brickdancer.

The quality of the work is excellent and was done quickly in the time frame we discussed. The crew was super friendly and did a great job cleaning up when the walls were done. We love the entryway and would absolutely work with Brick Dancer again if we did any other brick or block projects.
