So much fun! The rooms here are fantastic and challenging. Our game host Graham was wonderful too. He gave us just the right amount of nudge to set us in the right direction if we got off course. read more

My friend was in town and we decided to do his first escape room at Puzzle Effect! We did "The Morgue" escape room and it was freaking amazing! It gave that sense of urgency and danger. This was our third time at Puzzle Effect. Always fun, approachable rooms, at appropriate difficulty (challenging and down to the wire, but not "how would I have possibly known that"). Fiona, our host, was very friendly and accommodating, and helped notice a bug / unlocked area of the room right as we started and worked to quickly get it fixed. Great experience, and fun for my whole family! read more

Such a fun and cool experience with friends. We came at 3 and chose "The Grime." Had 45 min and beat it with 22 seconds left lol. Our game master Erin was awesome and super friendly. Shoutout to her because we forgot to use the happy hour discount and she was nice enough to give us a free pass on our next game. Definitely coming back and trying another game. read more

My wife and I just completed the Grim Stacks escape room at Puzzle Effect. It was a lot of fun. The staff and our GM, Dez, were very nice and helpful. We finished in just under the hour time limit. The puzzle was pretty well designed. It was a decent size and length for the two of us, just two small rooms set up as a cozy little magic shop. Everything relevant to the puzzles was clearly set up in a way to distinguish it from anything decorative. There were a few times that we got hung up on what to do with a clue or felt like we ran out of clues, but either we just forgot about an object or part of the room we hadn't used yet, or we misunderstood what to do with the clues we had. If we were clearly stuck for a bit and focusing on something irrelevant Dez helped us out with a hint that showed up on a screen in the room to help redirect us. Overall a great time and a good challenge for two people. read more

Erin was such an incredible game master! It's always fun to get someone who is invested in the story of each room. Challenging and entertaining! read more

Over the past 10 years, we have done 4 of the rooms and they are all high quality and very fun. I've been to about 8 different escape rooms in the Denver area and a couple in SF and this is my favorite as a mix of quality puzzles, cool effects, no glitches, and reasonable price. Nowadays, my friend and I love escape rooms so 2 people is perfect for us and we can finish in time, but if you have a slower pace or like having more teamwork, 3-4 is also doable. The rooms are linear in their puzzles and always private, which is huge. They used to be called Denver Escape Room, but updated the name to Puzzle Effect. read more

This was my first escape room and it didn't disappoint...Dez was great and we escaped! You definitely need to bring your brain and multiple other brains. read more

Awesome escape room! We beat The Morgue with a few minutes to spare, but we were racing at the end! The variety of puzzles was better than any other I've done (which is a lot). The rating of "challenging" was appropriate. read more

What a fantastic first-time experience! We brought my mother-in-law here looking for a fun activity while she was visiting, and we had a blast. Evelyn was our guide and they made everything incredibly easy, engaging, and fun for beginners. We loved it so much that my partner and I are already planning our next visit . read more

A really great escape room location with a great and helpful staff. My family and I have done curse of the emerald, path and amnesia and had a great time each time. Our goal is to complete all of them when the family is together- so we have a tradition of sorts. This location allows us to book online for our party, show up, sign paperwork and have fun! Highly recommend! read more

I've actually been here 4 times with different groups of people over the last 6 years of living in the Thornton area. We did GrimStacks, The Path, Naught Neb, and most recently we jus did The Rescue. All were super fun and creative. We had to work together really well for all of them. The only puzzle we didn't solve was GrimStacks - that one was super difficult. My favorite one was The Rescue and without the clues from the game master I don't think we would have solved it. We love this place! read more

Was there the other day with a group of friends, was super fun and such a great experience. Claire was our game master and she was extremely helpful and awesome! Thank you for the fun time :) read more

Erin was so helpful in an awkward situation! Great experience! Thank you so very much!

Dez was great! It was a great experience. It was soooooooooooooo fun! We will definitely be back again!

Fantastic service from Dez! Mattie's 16th birthday solving Innocence was a big hit! Quick check-in. Thorough explanation & the fact that the mustaches were appreciated was the talk of dinner after. read more

This is our second time here. Both times were excellent, and we would definitely be back. They have may escape rooms to choose from. It's nice that their site also lists the difficulty and max number of people per room. This time, we did the Naughty Ned Nabs The Nice List, which is listed as "challenging". This one in particular is only 45 minutes, but that was plenty of time for our group. The staff is always extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the rooms and clues. Unlike other places, there's no limits on clues and the staff will display clues on the screen if they feel like you are stuck or not progressing. I would highly recommend checking out the escape rooms here. They are very detailed and fun for your group. read more

Shout out to Paige! She gave us a little more time, so my daughter and I could find the creature in Grim Stacks. Definitely recommend.

This was so fun! It was challenging but not impossible. We needed a few clues to help us, and we solved it! Great for beginners and people who have some experience. Erin was a wonderful gamemaster!!!! read more

My husband took me here for my birthday and it was our first time doing an escape room and it was so much fun! Paige was our game master and she was fantastic. She gave us the clues at the perfect times and we finished the room with 4 minutes to spare! The rooms are very thoughtful and well done and quite challenging (we picked a "more challenging" room). Completing a challenging escape room with a few minutes to spare really makes you feel accomplished. Thank you Paige for looking out for us and giving clues that pointed us in the right direction while not giving away too much. I haven't had a more fun birthday since I was a kid. read more

Decided to try our luck for a date night outing. It was a whole lot of fun and our Game Master Paige was so sweet and helpful. Can't wait to do another room in the future! read more

Puzzle Effect was a lot of fun. The puzzle begins when you arrive, it is situated in a weird multi-unit complex, and finding the entrance is a task. However, once inside, the staff is friendly and super helpful. The room we were in was the curse on the emerald sea. It was challenging and clever. We managed to finish, but we only left 1 minute on the clock. I haven't been to many of these, but it seemed a little pricy. It would defiantly make it hard for me to return. Also, the name Puzzle Effect - Denver is misleading as it is in Northglenn. read more

My family and I just completed the Morgue. Our 11 and 13 years olds were a little nervous at first, but everyone had a blast! I loved the elaborately designed room and little surprises throughout. Game master Shelby had an excellent sense of timing in giving us hints when we needed it. read more

So much fun!!! Being four first timers at an escape room, we really weren't sure what to expect. Riley greeted us upon entering the facility and was very personable and humorous. He answered all of our questions before entering 'The Morgue' and even a few more after watching the initial instruction video. The room was great (once we got the first clue), quite intriguing and well planned! Nothing ever popped out or grabbed us (as stated in the faq's) however there are a few things that will make you jump if you're not prepared for it. Riley coming in and taking a photo of all of us with our findings was icing on the cake as was being able to look into other escape rooms that weren't occupied. We will definitely be back! read more

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my brothers and had a great time! It's not the most difficult game I've done but it did have a lot of detail. We didn't end up needing any clues to complete it but our game master Marina was very sweet and gave great instructions. Will be back for other rooms! read more

We did the Curse on the Emerald Seas escape room and it was a lot of fun. The appearance of the room was great and on theme and the puzzles were tricky and challenging but not annoying. I'd like to go back and try their other rooms! read more

We had a great time! My 11 and 14 year old daughters love escape rooms and we've been to SEVERAL in the Denver Metro Areas. We chose 'The Reel' and it was great fun. Riley, our game master was fantastic. read more

One of the best escape rooms I've done for such a low price! Me and my boyfriend played the morgue and it was full of jump scares and amazing puzzles. Our game master Renee was amazing and helped us out when one of the puzzles didn't work because of power loss. We got our time back and was able to continue playing. We can't wait to return again and play another room! I would definitely come to Puzzle effect for a fun day in Denver! 10000000000/10. I love this place! read more

Definitely recommend! They were super nice and so helpful. Ended up doing two escape rooms back to back since they had an opening. They helped provide hints at the perfect time to move you along when my friends and I were stuck. We had a different game master for the second room but both were amazing! You can tell they put time into each escape room and really work hard to ensure that everyone coming in has a great experience! read more

Great puzzle and Alyssa is an amazing game master. Great way for our family to enjoy the school break. Thank you!

Our family of 6 adults, age 23-68, did The Path room today, and it was incredibly detailed and fun. The puzzles were really varied and creative, and everything in the room was clean and in good repair. It was challenging at first, and then we kind of got on a roll. We finished with 22 minutes to spare and I was both excited and bummed -- I wanted the fun to keep going! We definitely plan to go back. read more

Really fun. We did The Reel. Kept us on our toes. Would do another one some other time.

So much fun for all ages. Great staff! Was impressed that our 6 year old could help solve the puzzles and the way the clues were provided.

Challenging but solvable - we had a party of 4 and played Grim Stacks. We all had a great time, and the staff was very attentive. I highly recommend! read more

My FAVORITE escape room in all of Colorado! I love how the rooms are very modern and high tech. The staff is super friendly and enthusiastic to have us each time! I've done all of the rooms and wish I could forget each room so I could do it again! Thank you Denver Escape room for always being super accommodating and friendly to us!! read more

How disrespectful. Why would you put a billboard that reads "Come F_ _ _ yourself" next to a church? I don't even go to church there and I think it's wrong. And I understand that the missing word is "free" but come on. It is clever, and it's funny but not next to a church. read more
