I took my dog here a couple times, and the last time he went, he was bitten. Things happen, but…read morewhen we picked him up, it wasn't mentioned at all. We found out because we was acting off and had a bump, so we took him to the vet. The vet shaved it down and revealed the bite. The disturbing part about this is that it wasn't mentioned. This either means the employees witnessed it and said nothing, or weren't watching the dogs/didn't hear my dog yelp when it happened. We've attempted to email twice with no response. This is our last attempt to show something happened. I don't recommend taking your dog here as it's pretty disturbing that a bite was never addressed. You want to take your dog somewhere they'll be happy while you're not with them, and this experienced has not been reassuring that the Dog Barn provides that.

Anyways come each summer all that fur just starts dropping off and it floats around the house landing in corners or anywhere it wants and I need to vacuum every day. So why do I always wait too long to bring her to the best groomer around? This summer the heat was brutal and again I procrastinated until I just got tired of trying to stay ahead of it. In hindsight it's crazy to wait as it's a very affordable price to save all that effort. And as my dog says you try wearing a fur coat in 92 degree heat. Anyways when she came out she was beautiful with a hankercheif and a lovely scent. I was told she had 2 huge mounds of fur brushed out. Some weird people may collect dryer lint for insulation? But for a fact some people collect malamute fur to spin into yarn and knit sweaters and all sorts of cool things. I'm just glad that "It's a Dogs Life" does a great job of removing it! Will add pictures ....

The smell hits you as soon as you walk in -- like a mix of urine, mildew, and who knows what else. The floors were visibly dirty, and there was fur and grime everywhere. They use this rubber roofing material that has rips and bunched up causing employees and dogs to trip and get hurt . Outside play areas are so small and crammed with play structures that the dogs have no room to play so they're just stress barking and other stress related behavior .Before a new interview comes in with a new dog they spray the inside w deodorizer to mask the terrible smell of dog pee Worse, I actually saw mice running along the walls in the play area. Not one -- two. That is completely unacceptable for any business, let alone one that's supposed to care for our pets. My dog came home smelling awful and clearly stressed. I honestly regret ever stepping foot in this place, and I would never recommend it to anyone who actually cares about their dog's health and safety. Do yourself and your pup a favor: avoid this place at all costs.
