As far as airport hotels, crowne plaza is a good choice. Connected to terminal 4. Clean. Standard…read morerooms. More spacious than something you'd get in central London. The carpet and some furnishings can be dated, but the bathrooms are updated and everything looks clean. Bathrooms look updated, very meticulously clean. The food: the good news: we got in late, but luckily, they have a handful of dishes served 24/7. The food was decent, nothing special but nice. They deliver it to the room. Chicken club was good, and the chips were nice, though not super crispy. The bad news: I think the chicken wing portion was a bit small for $15. The bleu cheese wasn't great. I was charged 5 pounds for a "tray charge," which was confusing, because it's not listed on the menu and I certainly didn't need the tray. The spring rolls definitely have the frozen taste and just too sweet for me. They delivered two bottles of coke, but no bottle opener. We tried to open it ourselves on the side of the counter, and the glass broke, so just a bit frustrating. I called and they brought one right up, though, so lesson learned. (I just wish they'd been a bit kinder or even given an apology for the oversight as opposed to acting like we're asking for something extreme.) Overall, I'd recommend staying for sure.

The bedding was a duvet cover that I hope is laundered after each visit! The bathroom was very clean and I liked the walk in shower. The hotel provided complimentary bottle water. I arrived very late so I wasn't able to go to the main dining room which closes at 9:30 pm. The bar was pleasant, but I wouldn't recommend ordering the cheese platter since the cheeses IMO were not very tasty. I had to go to Terminal 2 for my flight to LAX, and the quickest way is the Tube. Just follow the signs to the train, and don't forget to tap your card when entering the tube or you will get charged about for the ride.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the airport which makes it an ideal location to use if your in a similar situation. The hotel is clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly I found. The room was good size with seperate toilet and bathroom, coffee available and comfortable bed. The shower was large and powerful and just what you need to wake you up before a flight. I opted to have dinner here as well and the food was quite good. I had fish and chips, sweet potato soup and ice cream to finish. The soup came out after the main which was a bit weird but oh well right. The soup was average while the fish and chips were very good. Representing the way the british serve them. The ice cream for dessert was so basic anyone could have served it. Was straight from the packet without much effort. The breakfast buffet was large and offered a grest array of hot foods, pastries, fruits, cereals among other things. Plenty of selection and you definitely wouldn't leave asking for more food. Overall good hotel.

Howdy folks. I am going to start this review off by saying that I absolutely love this place. I…read morewill even say it in all caps. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I am sure that you can probably already tell where this review is headed. Either way, strap on your safety belts and put your helmuts on because we are blasting off across the pond with this one. Before I begin this review, I want to say that London is my all time favorite world city. I am a pretty well traveled person and I can honestly say that there is no other place in this world that comes close to being as fabulous as London. But unfortunetly this fab place is not cheap. Especially when it comes to finding affordable lodging. This is where the Oakwood Bed and Breakfast Heathrow comes in. Wanna read more? Let's do it. I actually discovered this groovy spot back in December of 2024 and it has been my go to place to stay everytime I'm in London. I had traveled to London to shoot some videos for my YouTube channel and after arriving at Gatwick Airport, I decided it was time to book a room. Last minute bookings are my thing. I was browsing through Agoda when I spotted the Oakwood's ad. The primary photo of the building reminded me of something I'd seen in The Hobbit. But it wasn't the photo that caught my attention. It was the price that caught my eye. I believe it was around fifty something pounds. I was like Wowzers! That's a steal. The only thing about it was this place was a bit of a ways away from Central London. But after looking around the area on Google maps I realized that there was a Tube station nearby. I was like Bingo! I decided to book. Upon arriving at the Oakwood I was greeted by a friendly man who reminded me of the BBC's very own John Sweeney. Anybody remember him? I wish I could remember his name. I should know it by now having stayed at the Oakwood as many times as I have. But for the sake of this review, I'll just refer to him as Mr. Sweeney. He's actually one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. And not a phony let me sell you an upgrade kind of nice. But a genuinely nice person. From the moment he opened the door and greeted me I felt welcomed here. The check in process was a breeze. Mr. Sweeney suggested some groovy spots to check out and even recommended some good places to eat that were nearby. After this he showed me to my room. It was a cozy little room that I felt had all of the amenities that a guest room should have. There was free wifi in the room which was very fast. Plenty of outlets to plug in and charge your devices. A mini fridge to store all of your alcoholic beverages. Smirnoff Cranberry Vodka for me. There was even a hot pot with plenty of packets of instant coffee, creams, and sugars. That was a major turn on for a coffee freak like me. Oh and the room even came with a classic old school key. I felt like I could be in the early 20th century. Very British and very groovy. I loved it. I also want to talk about how clean the room was. Seriously this place was emmaculately clean. I have stayed in many different hotels and inn's during my travels. But I don't think I have ever stayed at a place that was as clean as the Oakwood. Major props to the house keeping staff here. You know something I want to say that I really like about the Oakwood is the location. It's located in a town called West Drayton and I must say that I've really grown to love this place. There are plenty of stores and places to eat that are nearby. There is even a pub right next door to the inn. So if you have a late night craving for a brew you can drink till your heart's content and then it's an easy walk back to your room. Also, like I previously mentioned, there is a train station nearby that is easily walkable where you can catch The Tube which will take you anywhere you want to go in Greater London. Oh and I can't forgot to mention the fine folks at Arya Barber. But they'll be getting their own special review soon. So I guess I'll go ahead and wrap this review up by saying that if you are planning to visit London and you want a place to stay that is clean, cozy, and has genuine friendly service, I highly recommend the Oakwood Bed and Breakfast. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, well, there's always a crappy Travelodge nearby. Oh and one more thing. If you do choose to stay at the Oakwood, don't forget to tell Mr. Sweeney that Nasty Nathanial sent you. Alrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight! NASTY NATHANIAL

But still a disappointing reflection on their brand. The airline put us up here after a cancelled flight with a room and dinner. At check in we were told they were getting rooms ready and to check back for an assignment. Waiting in the bar about an hour and a half we noticed rooms going out so returned to the desk. The woman that first helped me disappeared and a gentleman stepped out and told me I had to wait with the group. What group?? ...the group in a conference room from other cancellations and the rooms available now were for "paying customers" Dinner was relegated to a buffet, which was NOT good. Chicken quarters, rice and a few inedible sides. The seating was in a different section than the main. Chairs were badly stained to the point we put napkins on them. Breakfast was good, and we were allowed to sit with the other guests. Frontline staff were nice, some of the door staff were aloof, managers/supervisors seemed annoyed. Better communication would have been appreciated. I could have had dinner elsewhere. As a captive patron it added to frustration of the experience.

Bathroom is a little small but had a bath as well as a shower and a dispenser containing Imperial leather Shower Gel (no Shampoo & Conditioner though). Lots of things left to be desired…read more This is the marriot right on the outskirts of the Heathrow airport property. NO shuttle services to and from the airport which is wild. Laundry service is useless. If you're checking in at 4pm you won't even be able to use it until next day if you're lucky. The guy argued with me in the hallway about 10 mins after 4pm for overnight services and kept asking when I'm leaving. I want overnight... ANYtime next day sir. He refused me. Absolutely worthless to offer laundry service at all. I paid for outsourcing elsewhere (way to go customer service-this is sarcasm for those of you who couldn't tell). Next up the Italian restaurant. Food was fine. Service was ok. The host asked me twice if I had food allergies and so did the waitress. I got asked 4 different times if I had food allergies. I don't. I had to tell the host AND the waitress my room number out loud. Why? This feels like a security issue for a solo female. I shouldn't have to share that with anyone. If I want to charge to the room I will write that down when it comes time to pay. Do better. The hotel store in lobby requires a separate payment from the room charge (cannot charge to the room for things here) The executive lounge leaves much to be desired - lackluster. Not a lot going on, small. The hotel itself is convenient to the airport but 45 mins to 1 hour from city center or anything real going on. The hotel is clean and it's a room.
