Our reservation was just for my sister and I as my girlfriend wasn't sure if she'd be able to come along with us on the trip at the time of booking. I thought I had dropped them a line to let them know we'd need a cot upon arrival, but apparently I had forgotten. No worries! They upgraded our room for no charge, and even stayed up late to greet us (I told you... we had a lot of trouble in London)! Exceptional service, cute rooms, and all the amenities were perfect. Downstairs there is the usual hotel bar, an Austrian 'Bier Keller' and a Health Club downstairs with an air-conditioned gym, sauna, steam room, sun beds, spa bath and two swimming pools. There are some nice design touches, like a triangle of three large fish tanks on each of the bedroom floors near the lifts which form a Toblerone-shaped light-pipe going into the reception area. The rooms have a lot of pale wood, adding to the Chalet-style décor. The breakfast buffet is extensive, and the toast arrived quickly and wasn't burnt. I didn't try the main restaurant for an evening meal, but a colleague described as fancy and overpriced, and that is how the menu looked to me. The car park circles the hotel, so there is plenty of it, but it still gets busy; there are very visible security staff walking around the car park. Overall I enjoyed the stay, but I don't think it is as good as it could be, not sure why!
