It's a little on the pricey side as you are paying for convenience and a moderate to higher end hotel. the location is located within the outskirts of terminal 5, by the car port/bus station. There's a connected walkway and takes about 10 min (walking at a leisurely pace and waiting for the elevator) to get from hotel to the trains. The hotel is quiet large. The room is nice, spacious (especially for London) and serves it's purpose. The front desk was non stop busy with tourists, families, solo travelers and business people coming or going throughout the day. If you need a nice, safe, clean, convenient place while in London for a short stay and are flying out of LHR, this is a solid place. It's in terminal 5 so departures are right there. If you are flying out of another terminal (2, 3 or 4) it's a quick free train ride.

A very nice staff, that really looks out for the tired traveler. Prices which are not unreasonable either. Easy to find as the signs in the Queen's terminal are large and everywhere (good job sign posting, unlike terminal 5). The rooms are a bit dated and not laid out intuitively. The safe is in the night stand and when open it bumps against the bed. The faucet in the bathroom sink has little clearance from the basin and thus water gets everywhere when washing your hand/face. The shower head sprays water and with a glass wall (vs shower curtain) gets outside the tub and the tile gets wet. These little design wonkiness is what makes it a 4 (vs 5). This place is popular with large groups. The restaurant is solid - fantastic greek salad and the grilled salmon perfect. The runway rooftop bar is also a must do (you can get non alcoholic drinks). Despite being basically on the tarmac, I was not bothered by the noises of airplanes and enjoyed a super comfy bed. The staff is accommodating and you have two different restaurants to choose from. An added bonus was the rooftop bar where you could watch airplanes coming in or leaving. I'd definitely stay here again. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The AC actually keeps you cool too.

(No pic provided, but #569 was horrid because of that) Please wash and thoroughly check your sheets, and esp pillow cases before presenting that to a guest. All and all though I would say a 3 1/2-4 because of that incident. If that didn't happen, a def 5 for me. Food was great too. Love how they have a restaurant and a Costa Coffee cafe. Given my minimalist criteria, this hotel more than met my standards. I booked it because it was close to terminal 5 and we had morning flights from London. It was a happy discovery on checking in to find the POD...that could be the coolest way I've ever traveled to an airport-I LOVED IT! All airport hotels should have PODs! Outside of hotel won't win any beauty awards, but room was clean (although dated as other reviewers have stated). Best discovery was the terrace bar that parallels the runway. My companion and I are ex-USAF so getting to sit outside in the warm June evening, have a meal and watch airplanes take off was more than we could have ever asked for. It was a glorious night!

Thistle Hotel at Heathrow Airport was really disappointing…read more Despite being an airport hotel- the Thistle provides absolutely no transportation from the airport to the hotel- usually transfers form the airport to the hotel are complimentary. My plane touched down at 8.30 pm and I was barely able to have dinner in their restaurant before the early and unreasonable 10 pm closing time. The restaurant offers mainly heated TV dinners which are oversalted and taste terrible, the average person should only have 1,500 mg of salt per day to avoid heart attacks nd strokes- that translates to 500 mg at breakfast, 500 mg at lunch and 500 mg at dinner.......... the on-site restaurant easily exceeds these recommendations for good health. Hotel is really, really, really large with no elevator to the second floor- long Wallis through long passage ways ( it takes 10 minutes) to get to the other side of the hotel. staff does not assist with carrying bagge over long distances. Hotel was also noisy and in bad condition. Hotel staff FAILED to give me a 6 am wake up call - even after assuring me they would........I overslept until 8.30 am..........and didn't have the time to take a shower or eat anything............. Luckily- I was able or catch the infrequent bus back to Heathrow airport - there are no other options , no taxi. I was able to have breakfast there and make my flight. A terrible experience at a terrible hotel- you're better off staying in Earls Court or Paddington - hotels with decent amenities, near-by restaurants, and with staff who care.

We will definitely be back to stay at Harmondsworth Hall Guest House! The full English breakfast was delicious! The charming little pub around the corner, The Crown, is not to be missed! We had a wonderful time chatting with the delightful owner! It was an amazing trip! We only wish we could have stayed in this quaint little village much longer!

There is a pretty garden to sit in. We had a good pub dinner right around the corner. Staff left out water for us throughout the weekend which was nice and cold and kept everyone hydrated. Bathrooms were always clean and never shy of any toilet paper which was nice as the event was fairly large and people were in and out of the bathroom all day. I did use the elevator to get something from my friend's room as she was staying at the hotel. The elevator won't work without a keycard. That's important as it's a safety precaution. The hotel is also centrally located and near the bus stop. Not a bad choice !

I had access to a room and the amenities from 10am-6:00pm. The room was lovely. The first thing I did was shower and took a nap. I was so tired from a 12 hour flight. The bed was very comfortable. Then I went down to the restaurant on the premises and I ordered dinner: fish and chips lol. Food was good and so was the drink. I went back to the room and gathered my belongings and called my taxi to take me to my London Airbnb. If you have never used a day pass, please do especially after long flights or layovers. It's a game changer. The Marriott usually has day passes and their hotels are top notch.
