OH MY.... where do I start???
THIS is the reason YELP! should let you give ZERO stars...
I was sentenced to one night's lodging here, by Aer Lingus, after missing a connecting flight. Bonus... I was given a voucher for supper and breakfast. Arrived at the "hotel" about 5:00. During the check in process, I was informed that the "Dinner Voucher" was not good until 8:30pm. I asked for clarification, as 8:30 seemed late to START dinner. I was traveling with a diabetic, who had not eaten since 8:30am. They confirmed that, "No food will be ready until 8:30." I asked for them to call me a taxi, so I could get some food for the diabetic. They replied, "We have a bar that has a full menu, if you want to purchase food, outside the voucher provided by Aer Lingus."
As we finished eating at the bar (who charges a "discretionary fee" of 12.5% to the total of your bill of over-priced food), they begin seating people for dinner before 6:30pm. I went and asked why I was told 8:30, if food would be ready by 6:30. The manager replied, "Your voucher is only good for the buffet, which opens at 8:30." I wanted to make sure he realized what that sounded like, so I asked, "So, my family is being treated differently because Aer Lingus is paying for my voucher?" He replied, "The voucher doesn't entitle you to real food, only the buffet." He said this while holding his hands in the shape of a rectangle, when he said "buffet". I argued and told him that we shouldn't be treated like second class people, because someone else was paying the bill. I told him he had an opportunity to make it right by picking up the $60 tab at the bar, but he failed once again. I told him it was not my choice to be here, but it would be my choice of wording in my YELP! review. He didn't care what was written in a review, I paid the tab... and will NEVER allow anyone I care about (fellow YELPERS!), to spend a single dollar of their money at this property.
To top it all off, breakfast, for the second class citizens didn't start until after we had to be back at the airport! Another voucher worthless.
Please VOTE WITH YOUR MONEY, by staying elsewhere else. If you get sentenced to a "one night stay" here by Aer Lingus, just say NO... as you remember this review. read more
