Free car parking is a bonus and theres plenty of spaces. The tube is 20 mins walk in both directions which is not ideal. The hotel is in a terrible location. Nothing is around which is a little frustrating being they don't offer lunch and have very limited facilities. Staff at the Holiday Inn @ Golders Green are very friendly but I found not overly helpful to do anything extra and often the hotel front desk is clearly understaffed, For a no frills hotel I have to say it gets a tick of approval in comparison to other budget hotels in the area.

The room was clean and had everything you needed,the boys who slept on "put me up" beds said that the sheet on the mattress weren't that comfortable but they were clean. The staff were well mannered and helpful when we needed anything; which wasn't a lot. We had breakfast at the hotel everyday and it was always being topped up and if there was anything missing and you mentioned it to the staff they went and got it for you. The quality of the cooked breakfast items was great too. My only gripe was that although the hotel was no smoking it was clear that people were smoking and it didn't always smell like tobacco either, but overall was great value for money. The location of the hotel is great for London visitors as you are not too close, so things aren't so busy but the tube stop is just round the corner and in 20 minutes you can be in the centre.

There is air-conditioning and a mini-fridge in the room. Jackie, the manager, is AWESOME!!! She let us park our car in front even before officially checking in, she ran outside to give us a London coupon book, and she told us to bring in our luggage and she would have it delivered to our room. (The guest house is about a five minute walk to the tube, and about 25 minutes to the the heart of London.) She let us select which room we wanted, and had the luggage moved to that room. For breakfast, you could have a traditional hot English breakfast, pancakes, or a made-to-order omelet. There was also home-made granola bars, gourmet cheeses, breads, bagels, and lunchmeats. Upon check-out, Jackie printed out current road maps to our destination without being asked!!
