This is the third time we have stayed at this property, and honestly we love it. The reason for the theee star rating is the restaurant management staff, they make the stay uncomfortable and odd. It is the most bizzare thing, and it is sad when we cannot enjoy the lovely restaurant or bar attached to the property. The waiters, waitresss and bartenders, are really amazing and genuinely kind. The breakfast waitstaff needs some training and seem out of sorts, but they try and are attentive. Back to the managers though, every single one of the three gentlemen that run the restaurant, and the hotel GM just give off the most uncomfortable vibes. I have spoken to other guest and they have acknowledged the same feelings. To me, it is very unprofessional and unnecessary. They are constantly addressing staff in front of patrons, they pull staff away from patrons for mid day meetings within view of all guest, not something that should be done in any business. And God forbid you are taking to a bartender for more than a minute, they will come along and pull them aside, it is almost like they fear the staff talking to guest. Honestly, it is to the point where they at most times rude, the dirty looks are non stop. My wife and I are very successful business professionals, we do not ever act inappropriately, so the judge mental looks are baffling to me. I feel quite badly for thier staff, you can see the fear in thier faces when they are interacting with you. Again, if they try and be good ambassadors of the hotel and restaurant by patron interaction, they are pulled away. I would not let these three deter anyone from staying at the Raddison though, again, the accommodations and non management staff are lovely. The food is very good, the bartenders are awesome when we get our drinks to bring back to the room. We never sit at the bar due to the uncomfortable feeling when doing so. I truly believe the three managers, including the general manager should be trained by non management employees in customer service and customer interaction. As I write this, they just reprimanded the bartender for talking to me. The "manager" Tony is now trying to be a bartender and he is terrible at it. He should be doing dishes, as his forward facing interaction is not pleasant. I also just witnessed a woman get up and ask for her bill because they had the waitress in the midday meeting. She paid her bill, at the bar expressing her displeasure that they the waitress was pulled away, only to be giving a half smile and then a dirty look by the manager. She left a tip stating the waitress deserved it, i wonder if she even received it. I will be contacting the Raddison Corp and passing along this review. The two restaurant managers are the only thing preventing this hotel from becoming one of the best in London. I am certain the GM is more than qualified to run this establishment, I just feel he needs to hear what people see as his actions may not be intentional. Walking loudly and repeatedly across the dining floor during breakfast seating without acknowledging a single guest is quite intimidating. PLEASE train your two male restaurant managers or replace them so we can enjoy the restaurant and bar on our next stay. And please try to be a bit more interactive with your guest and less so with the employees while they are working. Lastly, the rest staff is great, and I really wish I could rember the one bartender (young Indian gentleman) as he really is a great ambassador of your brand, you could use ten of him.

I would definitely stay here again! The service was absolutely attentive. I caught a red-eye and arrived at the hotel around 9 am. Because check-in was at 3 pm, the concierge informed me to check back at 1 pm as all the rooms were booked. However, I circled back around 10 am and sat at the business center looking pathetically tired, and they found me a room at 11! The complimentary breakfast is outstanding. An assortments of fruits - grapefruits, oranges, pineapples - are offered in addition to freshly squeezed juices - orange and cranberry were the ones I tried out of several others. The hotel offers other pastries, yogurts, and hearty breakfast items. This was the first time a hotel offered the kinds if healthy breakfast foods that I would normally have at home. There are complimentary water boilers and waters in the guest rooms, as well as a fully-functioning heater, which I happily utilized as I caught a cold at the beginning of my trip. The rooms are quite loud. However, it may be because I took several naps (induced by my cold). At one point, I thought someone was in my room although the noise was coming from outside. However, the close proximity to the Gloucester station (1 block away and accessible from Heathrow airport by a ~40 minute ride) as well as a grocery market and museums make this hotel a standout. The gym downstairs is well-kept.

Impeccable tea service with excellent sandwiches and cakes. The scones were perfect with coddled cream and excellent strawberry jam as was the staff. Very impressive service. My favourites were the smoked salmon and egg salad which went perfectly with prosecco in a well appointed historic building. The only thing I would improve on would be water as soon as we were seated, and I prefer my tea water a bit hotter to steep longer. As an American tho, what do I really know about afternoon tea?

I actually had a pretty good experience at this hotel. I can see if you got a room in the basement or one that looked onto the street that it could be dark or noisy, but the room I had was on the 7th floor looking over the back. The room was in good condition and appeared to have been recently redecorated. The refrigerator and flat screen tv worked well. It was cooler this October so I never turned on the AC. The heat seemed to work fine though. After paying an exorbitant amount of money for tiny room at a trendy boutique hotel in the Parisian Marais, I found the room to actually be kind of large by European standards especially for this price point in London. I had light from a shaft near the bathroom but I also had a window that opened up over the quiet alleyway that let in lots of light and air in the bedroom area. The hotel is virtually across the street from the metro and is in a great neighborhood near lots of coffee shops and restaurants. The garden and lots of shopping are not far away either. The restaurant serves a decent all you can eat breakfast. The lounge area bar has a good selection of single malt whiskeys. We had a few one evening in one of the nice wing backed chairs that they have near the fireplace. This place seems to be well kept and well run. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Super small pushed into a corner!

Also, this is one of the few hotels that have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom option without costing you over a thousand dollars a night. We came here at the end of July, and right after a massive heat wave. Our first room was beautiful and spacious for a hotel in London. The room came fully stocked with a kitchen and all the utensils and cooking tools needed if you wanted to make some meals in room. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't functioning. We ended up opening the windows (yes, this hotel has windows that open!) and got a good cross breeze. I reached out to hotel management and informed them of the problem. They brought up some swamp coolers and fans, with the promise to move us the next day to another room. We were promptly moved to a room on the other side of the hotel. It was a bit smaller in size, but was away from the busy roadway. Staff were fantastic. From the bell staff, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant/bar. All very friendly and responsive. The bedrooms are tight and tiny, so just be prepared. The bathrooms are small but adequate with stand up glass showers. The beds were super soft and cozy and the towels were large and plush. I appreciated the complementary cans of water to start off our stay. The bonus of this location, you are located right next door to probably the best Tesco in London. Tesco is a large grocery store, like Safeway back in the USA. We got lots of snacks, candies, and other essentials we ran out of during our stay. Remember to sign up for a Tesco rewards account, to save $. Each morning you get a free full hot breakfast. It is robust and includes delicious pastries and there is a fancy coffee machine to make lattes and mochas. All in all, great spot to spend our first six days in London.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member. Mr. Paolo Guarini, the General Manager, and his exceptional team went above and beyond at every step, and their passion, professionalism, and warmth truly made my stay unforgettable. The property is impeccably maintained, with a modern elevator and attention to every detail that immediately makes you feel at home. Housekeeping was flawless--always replenishing water, providing my preferred L'Occitane toiletries, and happily accommodating my request for a small fridge for my medication. Breakfast quickly became a highlight, with the Eggs Benedict Royale perfectly prepared every morning. I especially want to commend Alejandro, the restaurant manager, who from day 2 onward personally ensured my breakfast experience was flawless, and Albino, who always welcomed me with the best cappuccino. My favorite outdoor table, with my Americano and sweetener ready, made every morning feel truly special. What impressed me most was how the team treated feedback as a gift. On day 1, my breakfast experience wasn't perfect, but after sharing my thoughts, Mr. Guarini personally addressed it with the team, and Alejandro and his team ensured perfection for the remainder of my stay. Meeting Mr. Guarini on my last day, I could see firsthand how much he genuinely cares about guest experiences--it was thoughtful, gracious, and sincere. A particularly memorable moment was when my stay needed to be extended by a day due to a flight change--Mr. Guarini made it happen within minutes, keeping the same room and rate. This level of care and attention makes a guest feel truly valued. While not the cheapest Marriott in London, the value, service, and genuine kindness of the team make every penny worthwhile. They don't just recognize Platinum Elites--they anticipate your needs and make you feel truly at home. Next time, I hope to enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness facilities, which I know can be arranged via the Concierge team. I consider this now my home away from home when I'm in London, and I will happily return. Every detail, every interaction, and every gesture reminded me why Hotel Xenia is exceptional, and I am deeply grateful to Mr. Guarini and his team for making my stay so unforgettable. Giving this property my highest recommendation.

The hotel had to meet a few requirements: 1) free breakfast. 2) Comfortable room 3) Be located near an Underground station 4) reasonably priced. The hotel is located a 5-10 minute walk from the District and Piccadilly lines as well as the West Brompton train station. If you are in town for a football match at Stamford Bridge (Go Chelsea!) you are about a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel and lobby is very nice and clean. My room was very comfortable with a decent sized bathroom. It was clean with the exception of some mildewed grout in the shower. The breakfast was better than most. Lots of choices for food and drink. Plan it carefully because the later you sit down to eat, the more crowded it is. At times it was hard to find a clean table to sit at. And although it's supposed to start at 7 am we were able to grab some food at 6 am one morning. At night they serve drinks at a small bar. We called down and they eventually brought up a roll-away bed that looked older than me (late 40s) The room itself was tiny with limited, to no, storage. The room was also extremely hot, to the post that two in our group felt nauseated and had to go down to the street to cool down. After a few days of dealing with the heat, they sent up an engineer who by some miracle turned the AC on for us. The room felt tired and in need of a refresh. During our stay, only two elevators were working, one being out of order. We were there during the London Book Fair so the hotel was at capacity, not an ideal time to be down an elevator. I noticed reviews here saying to avoid the basement so when I heard Room 602, I thought "oh good, the 6th floor". Wrong! Rooms starting with "6" are all in the basement. Immediately upon entering the room, the most damp, rotten, and moist smell. Being in the basement, you can't open the single small window. We thought it was coming from the AC so we turned it off and heading out to sight see on our last day in the city. When we came back at around 10pm, the smell was even worse. We narrowed down the smell to originating from the bathroom. I thought it was coming from the drain but soon realized there was black mold growing on the tile grout, the wood on the door, and even the shelves on the wall. How can room service or management not see this? The bathroom fan was broken and probably has not been working in months, which is why so much mold has grown from the shower moisture. These rooms are never properly cleaned and it's shameful they've been neglected this long. It honestly smelled like a house which has been flooded with sewer water. The moldy smell gave us headaches and coughs. Now past 10PM, it wasn't worth us arguing to get another room so we decided we'd just check out at 5AM and just head to the airport early. The room itself was not great either. The bed was rock hard and the security safe did not work. Carpets were stained and artwork/mirrors had layers of dust on them. When checking out, we told the guy at the front desk how atrocious and unsafe the room was with the black mold and smell. He just said he would let management know. That's it! There wasn't a sincere apology or even an offer for partial reimbursement. I doubt him or management will do anything as there are many review with similar experiences here that I wish I had seen prior. He informed us our receipt would be emailed and didn't even say have a good day or anything. Sad! It's now, 2 days since checking out and I noticed 2 charges on my credit card statement from Hotel Indigo as if I stayed 2 nights there. I had to contact them to send my receipt again and finally received it. Now I'm waiting to get this second charge removed and getting over a cough from staying in the room.
