Many of us live in far flung parts of the world--as far away as India--and so I called Karen's to see if we could arrange to have everyone in our group call in and pay whatever they wanted to donate. Originally this was a great idea, and they were amenable, but we quickly realized the funeral was a day sooner than I had thought, and we didn't have enough time. In fact, it was the following morning from my phone call, and they were amazing to step up and agree to not only do the arrangement but also to have it delivered to the service in the morning. We were talking at around 5pm, and they committed to have it to the church the next morning by 11am or so. Huge thanks for the fast turnaround, flexibility, and for agreeing to help out. In the end, it's hard to fully judge the whole experience, as I never got to see the finished product. I'm told by our friend that it did indeed arrive, so I'm grateful as can be. I dunno how it looked. I'm quite particular about flowers, as it turns out, and so I just hope it was a nice, full arrangement. I don't mind the express deliver fee we were charged, and we certainly didn't get a deal on flowers, but for what I needed, in my long distance situation, I was just grateful they would work with me. One thing--I did try to stop by on December 26 as it was serendipitous that I would be passing through Payson that day and I wanted to make the arrangements then, but they were closed. I was there during business hours but it was locked and dark; I imagine it was a holiday break? I found them here on Yelp and you can Request a Quote here on the site (praise be!) but I wish they had used the "Special Hours" feature to show a variance from their regular hours and I would have just tried to call the next day instead of stopping by.

My wife was very clear about what she wanted for her flower crown, and thankfully we decided to go in for a test run because it was not what she had asked for at all. They had to completely redo it. When it came time for the wedding, she clarified once again what she wanted, and luckily she did, because they were about to make it wrong again. In the end, they did get it right, but it took a lot of us staying on top of them to make sure it happened. I also gave them specific instructions for my boutonnieres. I requested that they include feathers from certain birds that I hunt, and I personally supplied the feathers. Even after showing them in person exactly what I wanted, they still did them incorrectly. On top of that, I asked if there were any leftover feathers to please save them so I could pick them up afterward. They never let us know if there were extras, and I believe they were simply thrown away. The bouquets and corsages were fine, but overall we were disappointed with the customer service and the lack of attention to the specific instructions we gave. For something as important and personal as wedding flowers, we expected better communication and better listening. Unfortunately, I would not recommend bringing my business here.

I decided to order with Timp Valley Floral because although there were only two previous reviews, both were 5 stars and some of the other reviews for local florists were downright scary! I ordered the Sweetest Roses bouquet which start at $178.95. I opted for the premium version which bumped it up to $238.95 which is a significant amount in comparison to most of their other bouquets. The picture on the website did not change when you made the selection from Standard, to Deluxe to Premium which was obviously concerning so I made sure to call and order over the phone. I was very clear to the rep that because the cost is significant, I am hoping that the arrangement is much more grand. It delivered on a Friday and although it is a nice bouquet, it is certainly not what I would have expected for over $260.00. I have attached a picture of the standard version as advertised, what was received which is clearly a different product and how they look today, one week later... mostly all dead. When I spoke to Judy she said a week is actually a good amount of time for them to last. I know they don't last forever but they weren't fresh and starting dying within a couple of days. By the way my kids also got their mom a 15 dollar bouquet of daisies, all of which are still alive and look great... When I called today I expressed that a partial (not full) refund is warranted as I would have easily paid $160 for that bouquet. Per Judy, because I was out of the 72 hour guaranty window, they can only offer a $15 discount which frankly doesn't even cover the sales tax. I should mention that this 72 hour window was not disclosed on the delivery email nor is it shown on their "Our Guarantee" section on their site, snapshot also included. I feel Management could have handled this better. Pretty disappointing.
