Recently we had a new service person come, Dietrich, who was excellent compared to the previous guy. Dietrich was very thorough, checked every thing, every trap, sprayed everywhere, and took photos. He was there a decent amount of time to do it right. Some of the others had just gone through the restaurant quickly just hitting here and there. Called Orkin in summer of 2019 (as we already had reoccurring service with them) to address mice in one of our rental properties. They came out, set traps. I know they did a follow up within a few months, but I was getting $160 monthly bill from them. Spoke with one of my maintenence guys, of whom Orkin is supposed to call to gain entry into the building and found out he had not met with the tech since Feb 2020. I was also supposed to be receiving copies of the signed service visits, which never happened. One tenant told me they saw orkin pull into the parking lot, stay for five minutes and leave without getting out of the truck. I called and spoke to a customer rep who told me it appears they are spraying for ants on the outside of the building--for $160!?!? I hired them for mice. I spoke with a service manager and he said they will send the paperwork to prove they actually did something. That never happened so I stopped paying the bill. The manager and I played some phone tag and when we spoke I told him my concerns and he said prices go up over the years. Um okay. And he would speak to the tech about the paperwork. I requested a copy of any contracts my relative signed as well as the service invoices proving they did any work. They never sent anything, except me to collections for services they never proved they performed. What a scam! I told him I'm happy to pay if he sends the paperwork. Deciding next steps to take. I believe I deserve a refund. Small claims court? BBB? Orkin has an A+ rating on there, despite the hundreds of complaints for locations around the country.
