I wanted to do something fun for date night and remembered I saw on Groupon a floating experience. (Side note, the business will match your Groupon price so you don't have to buy it through Groupon if you prefer to just purchase it at the shop.) my boyfriend was also experiencing some issues with his hip and says that this would really help! We decided on the "date float" where 2 people are inside a pod. The lid available to us was about the side of a full mattress. When you enter the room, you see the pod, a bench, a couple of changing areas and a shower stall. There's a lock on the door so you can keep your personal belongings safe. You're allowed 10 mins to rinse off and then get into the pod. We saw something floating in the water and I'm not sure what it was it it grossed me out. Maybe it was lint, but it's not comfortable to see when you're about to get naked and go inside. As soon as the capsule closed, I felt very trapped and suddenly claustrophobic. It also didn't help that the "full mattress" area didn't seem like enough room for the two of us to float comfortably without touching each other or slashing one another. I've never done this before, but I thought the keys would come on while I'm floating. So it also scared me thinking it was going to blast at me any minute. I lasted maybe 3 minutes before getting out and rinsing off. It also didn't help that I saw another couple pay for their services before we entered probably the same room and the same pod. I understand their run the jets to clean it, but just the thought of another couple being in the same pod in the same water made me feel icky. My boyfriend enjoyed it and it helped his hip. He also enjoyed that he had the big space to himself lol. Definitely not something I can do again, but If you're comfortable being in a closed space, and recycled water, your experience will be much better.

I did a 60-minute session and came out completely reset--tension gone, mind clear, and that blissful float high lasted for days. Such a peaceful, restorative experience! If you're in Salt Lake City and want to rediscover (or try) float therapy, this is the place. Professional, relaxing, and highly recommended--I'll be back soon! Here are serene views of peaceful float pods like the ones at Float Spa 19. The receptionist was super nice and helpful, also!

There were clumps of hair in my shower and float pod, the TINY blue towels they provided were not sufficient enough. Most "spas" provide a little more towel coverage. This towel felt like it is what you use to dry off your car. The wall scents were wild, I would say it was a mix of jasmine and mildew. That said, I won't return and likely would never do another float. It just wasn't for me. Kai was friendly but it was slow to get set up and I believe our float time was cut short because of that.

I am so disappointed. We just barely found out that Ogden had an I-float pod. Last night my…read moresister got online at 10:00 and booked us two appointments without telling me. This morning she called wanting to surprise me, unfortunately I had a surprise for her. I had gotten sick last night and was still really sick when she called. I was so excited to try this because of a chronic disorder I have lived with for nearly 15 years. With everything going on in the world, I wasn't sure they wanted me there sick. (I wouldn't want to go into an environment where someone else was sick no matter how well they clean it) I desperately wanted to try this place and around noon asked if she could reschedule because our appointments were at 4:30. She called and said the man at the desk not only said "no" and that he would have to go ahead and charge us anyway but she also said he was extremely rude. I mean its not like we just didn't want to go -I felt like it was best I not go with the symptoms I was showing and just wanted to go even the next day after I could be tested. I don't know if I'll be able to post the picture she sent me of our appointments online last night, but I will try. It proves they were WIDE OPEN. When she spoke to him this afternoon she mentioned that it might would have been better just not to try and be courteous by booking online and waited. He rudely told her that was correct and sounded like her problem. I just feel in todays climate there would be understanding when people are sick and worried about spreading what could be life-threatening illnesses to others. Just makes no sense to me. I really wish this wasn't the only place in Northern Utah because I really believe it may finally give me some relief. Looks like I may have to drive to the Salt Lake area to find some help. This place apparently isn't about customer service.

The showers are located in the rooms with the pods so you have full privacy. The location is in an odd place, tucked in the corner, but not too hard to find. Overall a pretty good experience, it was my first time doing the floatation. I really did not feel any different during our after so I doubt I will go again, this kind of thing is not for me. If you love doing the flotation thing then give this place a try. They do offer month memberships as well is you are interested in going offer. Open Tuesday to Saturday.

Each session had a different theme, but all were relaxing and left me feeling grounded, refreshed, and almost euphoric from the salt in the air. The space is cute and comfortable with chairs you can sit or lay back in. The instructor guided the first half; and then, the second half we were allowed space to just be with our thoughts and emotions. Staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking in the lot. Definitely a nice place to reset, so it'll be part of my frequent routine.

That's the Evolve Wellness Collective. It's an amazing space that can bring so much tranquility to your day-you might need to get a ride home! ;-) I visited and was able to participate in a sound bath inside the salt cave and it was outstanding. They provided comfy chairs, amazing eye masks and the softest blanket I've had the pleasure of curling up with. This all prepared me for 45 minutes of pure relaxation in a safe environment. The staff here are all well educated and trained to provide the best services possible and are super kind, to boot! I'm excited to come back and try different services and support some of the local businesses that provide their care in this facility; including massage and acupuncture. Be well.
