My mom and I attended a float together (separate rooms) for Mother's Day. This was our first float experience and while the actual float was okay, I would say the facility leaned on the dirtier side. There were clumps of hair in my shower and float pod, the TINY blue towels they provided were not sufficient enough. Most "spas" provide a little more towel coverage. This towel felt like it is what you use to dry off your car. The wall scents were wild, I would say it was a mix of jasmine and mildew. That said, I won't return and likely would never do another float. It just wasn't for me. I have tried a few different float spas in the valley. This one is the least well maintained and dirtiest of the one that I have visited. See pictures of what I found during my visit. During my visit, my wife and I did the suite float for two. It is obviously not thoroughly cleaned between clients as observed by a huge clump of hair and the package from ear plugs from a previous client in our private spa room. Additionally, the ventilation seemed poor. It smelled like a wet dog in there. I didn't experience a similar smell in the other spas that I visited. I like I-Float in Bountiful and Ogden better, but that is just my preference. read more

I've been having deep tissue massages for over 20 years. This was not even close. I could hardly communicate with the massage therapist, as she couldn't really understand me. I should have checked to see if she was even certified, as she didn't use any technique and was scared of my knots. She did know how to use the hot stones. The table was uncomfortable and my TMJ was triggered by the head placement. Overall, I felt like this was a scam, as the website promoted a trained and certified massage therapist. What seemed odd was having to sign a document stating that I won't act sexually towards my massage therapist. What kind of place is this?! read more

I love this location! All the staff are so welcoming. You walk in and immediately feel warm and safe. The individual pods are great and the shared larger pod for couples is perfection. There is no rush to leave, stay and read the notes on the wall, and when you do leave every employee is so happy to see you feeling refreshed and relaxed as you walk out the door. Loved my first visit to FLOAT 19. I specifically appreciated all the details like decoration and beauty products provided. Very clean surroundings and a nice rest "lounge" with dozens of post it messages on the wall. The floating room was nicely warm (ergo no cold boobies) and the massage by Heidi wonderful. This video on their website clearly helped us what to expect . The entire experience was very relaxing . It helped me relax my muscles after the good workout . I absolutely Love it here! I bought a couples float session and it was amazing!! It was so relaxing and I felt so care free. It's an amazing experience and I definitely recommend. The place is very nice and clean, you do not need to take towels because they will provide those for you. They also have a section where you can get ready that has a blow dryer and basic essentials. You have to take your contact lenses off but thankfully they had contact cases available with no price. After your float session you shower and after getting ready there is a room where you can sit and relax and reflect on your experience. I have absolutely no complaints! And they are very clean. I bought a Groupon for an hour float since I'm scoping the area for new, local haunts. I understand this isn't in the best part of town, but I wasn't bothered. Parking was very easy -- thank the gods or else I would have been late! David at the front desk is a gem. Love his vibe. Perfect vibe for a float lounge. We chatted for a bit, he showed me around and I traded my shoes for some sweet sandals. The rooms are spread out in a good layout, and there's even a couples' float tank. Not my cup of tea, but it made me laugh just thinking about it. Oh yeah, David got me some tea, too. Nice. David was up front about how my room was on the main road side, and he suggested I play music to help tune out any background noise. Excellent suggestion -- thank you for that. There are some instructions on the walls if you've never floated before, and the room/shower/tank were all clean. No hair! I really liked the earplugs they provided, but make sure not to push 'em in too far. Float tank temp was perfect for me. The music was good, too. What a wonderfully relaxing experience. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and informed me of everything I needed to know about the experience. They showed me a video that explained the float process. They also took me on a tour of the spa to show me where everything was; bathroom, vanity area to get ready after your float (including a blow dryer and q tips). Everything was very clean and welcoming. My float experience was very relaxing. I will say that the salt did burn my skin just a little bit to begin with. I wonder if the salt content was just a bit too high. After my float I spent time in the lounge room drinking tea and eating snacks. I will definitely float here again. We have never done a float spa before which is why my husband and I chose this one, we didn't want to try it alone and they have couples appointments for a good price. This place is in a really sketchy part of town but their parking lot was right in front and open enough we didn't feel unsafe walking back to our car in the dark. We weren't given any information before our appointment so we were unsure what to bring or what to expect. When we got there were shown a video of what to expect and some tips to make the experience better. I think it would have been better if they had sent us a link to that video before our appointment so we wouldn't have felt so in the dark before hand. Luckily we didn't need to bring anything. They provide everything needed. The couples suit we were in felt pretty luxurious aside from a rusty vent in the ceiling that looked like it was going to fall off. There were two rain shower heads to wash your hair and body before and after your float. The float was amazing, although I think it would have been even more relaxing if I wasn't constantly bumping into my husband or the wall the whole time. One thing we will do differently next time is to bring water into the suite with us. We were crazy thirsty after an hour of floating and had to shower, dry off, and get dressed before we could go to the tea room where they had complementary drinks and snacks. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! first time I ever went to a float spa. Highly recommended from my therapist after losing loved ones over the summer. I invited mother to come along. My mom's pod was ice cold and staff told her it's fine and left. The colored buttons were switched too for lights and help button. My mother experienced severe discomfort and repeatedly both buttons and NO STAFF ASSISTED!! FORCED HERSELF OUT. HALF DRESSED SHE HAD TO TELL DOWN THE HALLWAY FOR HELP. After begrudgingly giving us our full refund. I do not appreciate anyone mistreating my mother and calling her a white b***h. Never going back to this float spa that does NOT CARE ABOUT SAFETY OR YOUR WELL-BEING???!!! AND IS RACIST TO white and mixed races.Only after mentioning the authorities did they quickly gives us a full refund $88 and tried to make us leave with$20 after a horrific and terrifying experience for my mother. The employers were extremely kind and attentive. They walked us through it every step of the way. The spa itself is clean, new, and relaxing. My boyfriend and I had a great experience here. We got the suite, so shared a pod. It was so relaxing. My body has never felt so good. The staff was so kind and everything was super clean. I had no idea what to expect but was presently surprised. One thing, don't bother showering or putting on makeup before you come because you have to shower and remove makeup before going in the tank. Okay my fiancé and I love Float Spa 19! We get the big couples pod (which honestly is worth it even for one person). We originally went on a Groupon and have loved it since. The spa is super clean, staff are nice and helpful, and we absolutely recommend trying floating. The spa has absolutely everything you need and all you have to bring is yourself and some pjs to change into after because you'll be ready to relax or go to bed! It takes a visit or two to get used to the sensation of not sinking in the water, but once you get used to it the feeling and benefits are incredible. Your body decompresses in no way I've felt before! This spa is the only one like it in SLC as far as I know, where they are almost exclusively dedicated to the float tank experience. I've only ever been to one other place somewhat similar and it was garbage. Even if you're skeptical of this experience go for it and try a few times, it's worth it. read more

First time coming here with my husband and not really impressed. The customer service was decent but overall not a good experience. We came here on a Thursday afternoon hoping to relax after a stressful couple of weeks.. we found a groupon for a 60 minute float session but when we got to our pod, the first thing we noticed was that it was dirty, then we got in and it was COLD! The guy had told us that the water runs at 96 degrees but it was more like 70!! We were only in the pod for a bit before it became uncomfortable & not fun! We quickly got out, showered and went to talk to the front desk guy and he said that there was "not really much we can do", no refund, no coupon for next time.. we even asked if we could get messages and pay the difference but he said no :/ highly disappointed!! Only thing we got out of it was some cookies... So we basically paid $60 for a shower & a lukewarm salt bath (& some cookies). We want a REFUND!!! read more

It's a beautifully decorated place, very modern and chic. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The room is clean, temperature is controlled nicely. I booked a appointment for my husband because he's been having back pain and I've heard great things, but they put him in a room he could hear cars driving by the entire time and the light in the tub did not shut off at all. We are very disappointed as he was very excited to try this and he seemed to have gotten a terrible room, when he brought it up to the person working they said they've had complaints about that room and just left it at that. I've been flaoting for a few year and think Sean is a great guy! I had a similar experience with Float 19 not honoring pervious paid for float passes, but understand their position. My first float with them was eh.., second one was better. I prefer the pod and like how they have the rooms set-up with the walk-in shower and the relaxing room was nice, but crowded (3 other people) at the time of my experience, so it was uncomfortable overhearing others conversations when I was trying to soak up the post-float experience. I've also reached out tthe owner several time to see if they would be willing to attend my companies wellness Fair and promote the benefits of floating. I even just called them now and the phone just rang with no voice mail option (bad bad CS in my opinion), so Crickets???...We have over 3500 employees and probably 200-300 would attend the fair. This was my first time floating and the actual float was great. The experience around it...no so much. There are a lot of great articles about what to expect during a float and if you're looking into it for the first time, I highly recommend it. This review is purely if the facilities and Staff at Float Spa 19. I called to make an appointment and wasn't asked when I would be free, they just kept asking times until we found something, it was a little frustrating. The man I talked to in the phone couldn't explain the difference between a suite and a pod and their website gives you no actual information. I got there and had to watch an introductory video that didn't explain anything I hadn't learned online and was from a different spa. Outside of the pod the "spa" has the same vibe as a cheep nail place in a strip mall, all glitz no glam. The attached bathroom to my pod room didn't have anyplace for me to place my things while I was getting dressed/getting ready but it did in the pod room which was weird. The bathroom and pod room are extremely hot/humid with no air circulation which makes getting dressed extremely uncomfortable. Water pressure in the shower is LOW. And makes it feel like you can't actually rinse any of the salt off. The man who escorted me to my room was very much a salesman, I asked him about my concerns and he treated them like he barely heard them. No signage in the pod room or bathroom to remind you of tips to make it a good experience, just a tub maintenance. It was overall decently clean, but it's pretty new, I would be shocked if they kept it up. paid $39 for an hour float and wouldn't do it again unless my physical therapist thinks it's worth it. read more

This company recently absorbed Salt City Float Spa (formerly in Cottonwood Heights) where my sister purchased a 10 pack. She gifted me a float last year and I enjoyed it so much, I bought a bundle of floats from them too. I live in Los Angeles, so I wanted to float each time I came back to SLC to visit family. When I called over the holidays to schedule, I got a recording that the company had closed and referred me to Float Spa 19. Sean (from SLC Float) called me back and scheduled me and my husband in at Float 19. We enjoy floating so much now that we float regularly in Pasadena, so I wanted to gift my last float at Float 19 to my brother. I called on New Year's Eve for him to float in the new year and was told the owner of Float 19 would no longer accept PAID FOR floats from SLC Float Spa. She said if my brother called that very day she could try and get him in, but I was unable to reach him. I called back today and Sean was very nice but explained that the policy of the owner was very strict and no more previously paid floats would be honored. When I pointed out that I never received an email or notice about this (neither did my sister), he apologized and said he hoped this didn't sour our feeling about floating. I told him I like him personally but people do business with people they like and it wouldn't have taken much for the owners to honor a 1 hour float already paid for to a brand new potential customer. There are several float therapy spas in the greater SLC area and next time I will go to Float Park City, which is comparable pricing and has 4+ star reviews. read more

Buyer beware! I have been here a few times and bought a gift certificate for a float and massage. During their "shutdown" because of Covid, my certificate expired. After they reopened, I asked to redeem my certificate. They told me I could get a float but not the massage because they weren't offering massages at the time because of Covid. When I went in today for the massage, they let me get the massage, but on my way out, they person at the desk told me I had to pay $39.00 because my certificate expired! What? On my way out? The person at the desk said it was just a "little issue" I had to take care of. I can't believe they expected me to pay more because they were 1) closed for Covid, 2) didn't offer massages when I returned for my service, and 3) told me to go in but then expect more money from me as I am leaving.
