I was too fidgety in the water at first but I'm sure this is a practice that takes time to dial into. It's a very peaceful place and the music heard while under the water is super cool. The person helping us and giving instructions spoke in a very robotic way. Regardless, I enjoyed this float experience. The facility was very clean and I was glad to see the many facilities here. They even have hair curlers and straighteners! The float spa was great. Although I was a little claustrophobic, it was really relaxing. The only thing I would say is to make sure you're well relaxed, as my neck started hurting a little afterwards due to the strain. The oxygen bar at the end was also very enjoyable. My wife and I went to try out the true rest float spa. We weren't exactly sure what to think going in. But, we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. They explain things very nicely and it was a unique and relaxing time. Afterward we sat and relaxed with water and had some flavored oxygen. Definitely going back - very rejuvenating and relaxing. The whole experience is well thought through. You have your own room and your own pod. It has a nice separate room to freshen up and comb your hair, etc after. Parking is not a problem as it's part of Riverwoods. The price point may keep us from being regulars, but the experience was uniquely pretty cool. read more

I had to drive down from Park city because of a terrible headache that it be nesting for three or four days due to altitude sickness. I looked for a oxygen bar and found this place. I can't recommend it enough it is beautiful great service and totally cured my headaches! In one session! First I did about 45 minutes of oxygen bar followed by a floating session. We were using two credits From a Friend and the employee told us that was fine, then only after the float, we get out and he says never mind There's only one, But we had already floated... So they tried to rip us off $89 for that, but we paid it because we didn't see much else of a choice and left and then the next day they charge a $540 cleaning fee for (what you see in photos) like absolutely nothing, Because the girls hair was red and we asked the employee for a shower cap and he said we don't have any but she'll be fine... Still A five-star experience, still awesome. Providing/building a float center to offer a correct experience is not cheap. Unfortunately, most people choose a first float by going cheapest (but wouldn't do it for doctor, dinning or salon), and sadly don't get the quality/right experience. True Rest Provo should be the first place you float, allowing you to experience the benchmark of what real float should be. I've been to almost every center in UT, and True Rest Provo does it right. In March, a month after my second Ayahuasca ceremony, my family took me here in hopes it would help with the random and sometimes crazy out of body experiences, or times when I couldn't tell what was real or not. About 20 minutes in the pod, I decided to close it, turn off the lights and sounds & just become the water. I could see myself floating in a pitch black space, things around me little by little began to outline in colors. It was like removing black paint with a needle from a colorful board. I was floating down a river and came to a stop. I open my eyes and there were lots of people all different ages, personalities, hair styles... I stood up and asked "am I dead?" They laughed and the oldest of them all who looked a lot like my grandma who passed away years ago said "no, we just wanted to see you and tell you that everything will be okay" They all hugged me and opened my eyes just floating in the pod. It was as though I was floating for weeks or months. I was so relaxed, as though I had gone to a month's worth of massage therapy, yoga & meditation. I just floated there for the last five minutes crying and smiling. The price may seem like a lot, but if you let yourself sink into the experience, the price is nearly a giveaway. The people are also very kind and don't forget to use the scented oxygen before you leave I plan on coming back again soon. Just haven't had the time with sports and work. I started floating at the Draper location for a week while this location was doing renovations and was excited to start floating closer to home. The first time I went, my appointment started late because someone was still floating and when I went in, the floors were all dirty and it seemed like they didn't do any cleaning in between floats, it felt pretty gross. I decided to give it another try and the second time I went, I arrived prior to my appointment time and the doors were locked. I called 3 times, knocked a few times, waited 20 mins and nobody showed up. I texted and left a voicemail and never heard back. I came here with my husband to try and destress after a long week at working from home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful and clean. My husband enjoyed the experience but i wouldn't recommend it for everyone. I have chronic pain and so rather than it being relaxing, it triggered a weird flare up. My stomach got very swollen and bloated and I got super nauseous. My experience would not be representative of 95% of their patrons, but I definitely wouldn't want to spend the money going again. Float Spa I received a buy 1 get 1 free coupon and decided to try the float spa with my brother. When you arrive, you fill out information and a waiver, and then they put you in a room with lounge chairs and you watch a video about the float spa. Then someone comes and gives you a tour of everything. There is a bathroom and getting ready area that everyone shares, and then you have your own room and shower for the float. When they were showing us everything in the float room, they opened the pod and it was not cleaned properly and there was a bunch of long black hair floating around. The worker was extremely embarrassed and apologetic. He said they would need to clean that one again, and of course they gave it to my brother; luckily he is easy going and didn't mind. The only problem though is that they took the extra time to clean it, but did not give him any extra time for the float. They started the time as normal even though he wasn't able to get in yet. Now to the actual float. You shower first and they give you Neosporin to put on any cuts. I don't know why I didn't think about this before hand but salt and cuts do not go together. Now hear me out, if you even have a tiny little sliver of a cut, once you get in the pod, it will feel like Satan himself is urinating hot sauce on your cut. It will be very hard to relax if you have any sores or cuts. The following is my honest review... and I will follow with my brothers review. I have Lupus and the float was recommended to me for relief of joint pain and relaxation. I will never ever come and do a float ever again. I was really optimistic and did not have really any expectations, but the end result was not great. When you first get in to the actual pod, there is a light in there that helps you get situated. They also have a head support that floats that you can use. It was hard to get comfortable, especially your head. I finally figured out that if you put your head back completely it feels better, however watch out because you can get salt in you eye! I did, and luckily they have a water bottle in the pod that you can squirt yourself with, to try to get the salt off. You can turn the light and music off if you want. I recommend turning the light off. At first when your body is figuring it out, you will hit the sides of the pod quite a bit, but if you just stay still then you eventually stop moving. The water is not very warm at all, and I was very uncomfortable. I tried to turn my mind off and just relax, but the pain was too much it was all I could focus on. I normally take baths with Epsom Salts at home, but maybe the heavy amount of salts caused my Lupus to flare. I had to get out after about 30 min I couldn't handle it anymore. I got in the shower and took a really long hot shower to help my joints. Halfway through the shower the motion sensor light turned off so then I was showering in the pitch black... I had to walk to the other side of the room to turn the light back on! After showering for a while, I went to the relaxation room to wait for my brother. There they have an oxygen bar and that was really fun. I did the lavender oxygen and then they had water or tea to drink. I got some hot raspberry tea and it was really good. They also had books, coloring books, and really comfortable couches to sit on. My Brothers Experience: He loved it, but not for the price. He said that he would go again if it was $50 or under, but not $80. My brother took a while to get comfortable in the pod, but once he got to a comfortable spot, he really enjoyed the pod. He turned the light and music off completely. If he would do something different, he would bring his own music if possible. He said he finally got to a "weightless" feeling. When he came out to the relaxation area to meet me, he looked like he was high! I am glad I drove, because I am not sure if he would have been alert enough to drive home! He also enjoyed the oxygen bar and tea. All in all, we are glad that we went and tried it out, we had one good experience and one terrible experience. I will never go back, and my brother will only go back if he has a gift card or coupon. read more

I'd heard some interesting research on float therapy awhile back and was intrigued. When I discovered it was available near me, I was excited to check it out. I was apprehensive at first, but the staff made me feel very comfortable. You have a lot of choice in how you want to experience this--lights/no lights, leave the lid open a bit if you're nervous about enclosed spaces. Within minutes I was all in! Excellent experience!!! I have done float before in SoCal, so I had a foundation for what to expect. This shop exceeded in all aspects. Exceptionally clean and a calming environment from when you walk in, throughout the whole experience. Large and comfortable rooms with waterfall showers. All necessities and creature comforts are provided. The pod was larger than the others I'd experienced and both long enough and deep enough for my 6'3", 265lbs, to try all float positions and not bump into the walls. And the oxygen bar afterward was a pleasant surprise! Service is hands on and a stand out. I'll be back every time I'm in town! This was my first float experience, and it couldn't have been any better! Kris explained the process and benefits for physical and mental health... I went in for relaxation, but came out completely rejuvenated and ache-free. The facilities were beautiful, comfortable, and accommodating. Private bathrooms and grooming (curling iron, straightener and hair dryers) were available, as well as showers in the float room. The float pods were large (I'm 5'3" and heavy) - I could stretch out fully and barely touch wall. Everything was impeccably clean. I had no expectations going into True REST today, it just looked relaxing and I'm a educator, it's Spring Break ... so why not? This was the most relaxing hour I can remember in a long time! Not only was I completely relaxed, but I came away peaceful and some severe back pain I had been experiencing, while not gone, but extremely diminished. To say I am pleased with the experience, is an understatement. I have already booked again, for myself AND my husband. I am curious how the Epsom salts will help him float. Talk about a cool experience. I had no idea what to expect. I'd never heard of this new treatment before but my friend was raving about it. It's a surreal experience. You feel like an alien crawling in and out of an egg womb, but once you get over the "strange" factor and just enjoy, it's an incredible experience. The key is to let your body truly rest. You need to relax and try to just be in the moment. You are weightless while in the salt water and it just penetrates every fiber. I tried this out of curiosity, and it was so relaxing! I thought I would get bored, but the hour float went so fast! They have you come in 30 minutes early for your first float to watch a video, take a tour and get instructions. The problem is, they bring SIX of you in at a time... and they tell you to use the bathroom before your float. There are TWO bathroom stalls. You then shower in your pod room, they provide shampoo and body wash and you put provided ear plugs in and get in the pod. They play music for the first ten minutes, which would go loud and then soft and then crackle. You can then request music for the rest of your float, which I did and it worked just fine. I wish the room temperature was a bit higher, you're naked in 10 inches of body temp water and every once in a while a breeze would come from somewhere and I'd freeze! When your float is over they turn the light on and play music again helping you get ready to get out of the pod. What was weird was the loud crackles came through the speakers and then some loud beeping. It gave me quite the jolt. Then you get out, shower and can use the provided blow dryers and straighteners which there are TWO of. Then they offer sented oxygen, but only TWO people can be using it.... but remember how they had SIX come in at a time? Then we left. I got a discounted price off Groupon, I don't know if I would pay the full price of $80 for an hour, but it was really relaxing. read more

I realized that "floating" is not for me for various reasons (I'm not docking a star for that). But I do have a couple recommendations. I would've liked the water temperature to be a tad warmer. Since you are only in 10 inches or so of water during the float, a lot of you is sticking out and I got cold which detracted from relaxing. Additionally, they need to invest in more oxygen machines and better tea for the end relaxation part! There was only one oxygen tank (2 ports) for everyone coming out of the float at around the same time so we all kind of sat there awkwardly while waiting for the two people to be done using the oxygen. Also, they only had fruit flavored teas and I would have liked a bit more variety - chamomile, peppermint, Earl Grey, Green - you catch my drift. The staff was very nice and helpful.
