A friend and I reserved a couple of spots in the salt cave to meditate and relax before dinner. It wasn't quite the experience we were hoping for. On arrival, 15 minutes before the session, the front office area was somewhat chaotic with staff + owner hurriedly putting up oversized holiday decor with a 15 foot ladder in the entryway. It felt like an odd time to do that when clients were coming in for a restful experience. Check-in was seamless and easy, though. Staff were all very friendly. As I settled in to prepare for the session, there was a lot of noise from the check in area that distracted from the initial experience. When the salt cave session started, it was again difficult to relax as the motor that generates the NaCl aerosol into the room was making quite a racket. I finally got up to let the staff know, but they said that's just the way it is. This wasn't relaxing white noise. This sounded like a belt on a motor that was at its end. It was very distracting and made it difficult to enjoy the experience. When the session time was up, a staff member abruptly opened the door and announced the session was over, and to leave quickly so the next session could start. (!?) I'd like to suggest incorporating a chime or gong into the sound system or have a staff member use a chime to gently bring clients back to awareness (if they were able to block out the motor noise). Overall, the salt cave is gorgeous and absolutely has a grounding presence, but some of the interactions were really clumsy and distracted from the potential of what this experience could be. I also found all the products for sale (crystals and essential oils) and plastic oversized holiday decor as indicators that this is more likely a commercial venture than holistic healing. That's fine, but be advised.

Each visit has been healing, relaxing, and I leave feeling rejuvenated. The energy mapping they offer is so beneficial. I left with a picture of my aura, and the knowledge of things to work on to help with the balance of my chakras. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Purify Wellness Center, and plan to return myself.

I've always been hesitant when considering cold plunges but wanted to give it a fair shot. The staff is very welcoming when you come in and they give you a tour. I really like that each person has their own suite so you can go at your own pace and you have the privacy to really enjoy the experience! You get a cold compress to enjoy in the sauna, the sauna starts at 140 but you can adjust up to 170! I stayed at 140 and it was perfect, like a warm blanket. The cold plunge was...a challenge haha I did two sessions of it the first session I only went up to my knees and the next I was able to kneel down into it but man it was cold BUT I loved it. It felt so refreshing and I really felt like I was energized after. They do offer a vitamin c infused shower which to me is a bit of a buzz wordy thing I don't believe that the Vitamin C can really be absorbed that way but hey it is in there so who knows. This was a great experience and I actually ended up signing up for a membership. I like how i feel after doing a session! My only complaint with this place is they don't provide water during your experience you'd have to purchase it and at their price point I don't think it would be too much to expect water to be included. Overall if you've been interested in trying heat/cold exposure this is a great place to give it a shot!

There are private rooms equipped with a tub, shower and small sauna-perfect for 1-4 people. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. I can see this being a part of many peoples' regular self-care routine.

The program has certainly gone down hill since then. -The coaches provided no guidance or instruction. - The coaches had no real training program for the kids, they would just cycle through a couple of strokes without any other practice. - Despite repeated email and in person requests our kid never got the swim cap nor t-shirt that was supposed to come with the program.

With the exception of it getting a little bit too busy lately we think this place does a really good job at providing a nice place to work out for families. Today, me and my kids wanted to play basketball in the gym. Many of the hoops were much lower than 10 feet. Not a big deal. we went and talked to a couple of the girls behind the desk to ask them to raise the hoops so that we could play basketball at regulation height. One of the girls stood up to talk to me and said, "no, I think all of the hoops are at the right height. " I responded and said, "no, many of them are around seven or 8 feet. They should be at 10 feet. "She looked at me like I was speaking a different language and said no I believe we can't adjust the height of the hoops. I realize that maybe I was speaking to someone who had only worked there for a little while and maybe didn't know the rules or the procedures around raising and lowering the hoops. So I said, "I believe we can raise the hoops and you can use that tool (pointing at the tool by her) to raise them. If you get a chance, please help us raise one of these hoops to 10 feet. " I thought that I was really nice and respectful. What happened is nobody ever came out to help us raise the hoops to 10 feet they just sort of ignored our request. Not the end of the world, we still love this place. But I hope in the future, the staff is trained and able to assist in these types of things.

He yelled and said that they were taking up his customers spots. Then they asked if he wanted them to move their car. The old man just continued to yell at them and point at things, even though they were being nothing but kind back. I was going to yell back and say "what customers?!" , but the young man obliged with the old grumpy guys hostile confrontation, and went and ran and moved his car. I went and talked to them after and they were just picking up a car from the shop next door, and would've been parked there for 10 mins. He was very very unwarranted to be so rude to them as they just did not know where to park. I would NEVER buy something from here because of that interaction. It also looks like nobody else is either because that parking lot is only ever filled with employees cars. Should put up a sign if you don't want people to park in your parking lot. There's a lot of other places to buy these things in Orem and Utah county. I personally do not support people that yell at ANYONE, no matter their age. There's no reason to do that. Especially because it was unwarranted. I hardly ever write yelp reviews, but this is how rude he was. I felt like I needed to inform the public. Ps I am also an old man so I have earned the right to call him an old grumpy crotch.

OG Review: The gym was nice, but the billing practices are predatory. Expect hidden fees upon sign up, and expect more hidden fees upon cancelation (plus a difficult cancelation process.) Make sure to get email verification from VASA that you canceled. Honestly thought the gym was nice, but the billing put a bad taste in my mouth. I probably won't be back. I'd be more likely to come back if they would just be straightforward about billing. In fact, I'd probably be willing to pay more per month if I didn't have to worry about hidden fees. I'll probably go to the local rec center instead. Edit 1: Vasa replied to my review with the following (rebuttal below): "Hi Dallin! Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, we are always looking for ways we can improve. We are sorry that your experience in our club wasn't the best and there was a miscommunication regarding our membership dues and fees. You can view all of our fees here: https://support.vasafitness.com/article?id=230379428&category=Membership§ionTitle=General%20Membership" You're welcome for the feedback, and thanks for the link to the membership dues and fees. It doesn't change the taste in my mouth. You sent me the link AFTER you'd already taken more of my money than I was initially led to believe you would. Here's the deal: it's not that information about your fees isn't accessible before sign-up. It is accessible. The problem is that I would have had to read the fine print to know about it. Reflect on yourself: doesn't that feel like a scam? Would you want to do business with a company whose contract you have to thoroughly read just to make sure that you're not getting duped? Don't get me wrong, it's smart to read contracts that you sign. It's just that high-trust organizations don't hide their fees in contracts that they know their customers won't read. You know that most people won't read the contract, and you also know that most people who sign the contract won't be aware of cancelation fees, 30 day cancelation notice requirements, rate guarantee fees, or other fees beyond the monthly payment. Yet, you charge people those fees anyway. That's what makes you a low-trust organization. To the VASA employee who is responding to my review, I know you're not the one who makes these contractual policies. It's not your fault. But if you have any say in the matter, maybe you should bring it up. It could be a great marketing strategy to advertise VASA as the only gym chain in the US with no hidden fees. VASA could become the most trustworthy gym in the US. If nothing else, it would be a more honest form of business. Best wishes, and good luck. Maybe I'll see you when the policies change. Dallin
