    Tiger's Eye Bracelet...
    Ramfis B.

Ok Yelpies, this is one of my very few non food reviews but after visiting Catherine at the Pure Stone Shop in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, you will definitely have a different aspect on everything. Catherine is a lady who in my eyes is almost like a psychic because she will give you a reading by just waving her hands around your body by checking your energy levels in your body and will see which stones would be perfect for your aura. Now you don't pick which stones you like because they look pretty, she picks them for you. She is just amazing at what she does. What she will do is put some stones in one hand and have you put your thumb and index finger together and she will try to pull them apart with both hands. When she has found the right combination of stones for your bracelet, your fingers will become stuck together and nothing can pull them apart which means all the energy is within yourself. Catherine is freakishly amazing and i have 2 power bracelets that are always on me whenever i go out. I have a Tiger's Eye powerstone Bracelet which i use for prosperity, well being, protection, and good aura amongst other people because that is what my job is. Working in the service industry gives me a better sense of well being amongst my hotel guests. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/5-F6Asx0Ruqu1PHYynV3vQ?select=sUhlk6XIZATqnWEecPtk5A I also have a gold rutile braclet which gives me intense energy and helps me whenever my health is at an all time low. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/5-F6Asx0Ruqu1PHYynV3vQ?select=8YbLrHuDU_EhYG5F4r-SHQ And last but not least i also have a Tiger's Eye Pendant in the shape of a dragon to put around my neck to give me overall protection and give me more energy. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/5-F6Asx0Ruqu1PHYynV3vQ?select=7gDFWmyZQfSi6N0KHLthuA I know what you people are thinking, like yeah right this guy is blowing smoke up our A*S, but let me tell you, i feel invigorated and full of life after wearing these for over three years now and i truly believe in these powerstones and the power they possess and i can tell you that my lifestyle is better than ever and i feel great about myself. You have to at least see Catherine and see what it's all about about. Everytime my Mi Chan's guests from Japan come to visit, they always come here to visit Catherine and get the powerstones to take back to Japan. She is that popular in Japan as she is seen on Japanese Travel Magazines as well. Her bracelets won't run you broke either. It all depends on the stones that are tailormade for you and shouldn't cost you more than a hundred bucks. Believe me Yelpies, this has been the best investment i have ever made. I ain't no millionaire but i feel like a million bucks, thanks to Catherine.....

I have met several people who have visited Catherine (or Katherine- not quite sure). I walked up to her and said "I am looking for something for general, physical health". And she said "What else?" - "Peace" I replied. She paused a moment, then began stating my mental and physical problems, my interpersonal relationship issues, my personality characteristics that hinder my ability to progress, my sensitivity, and more. She read me for about 20 min, then took another 5 minutes to cleanse my aura. That was the most amazing experience I had, and to think she knew everything about me from just a few words. My husband came with me and was skeptical, but he supports anything that I believe will make me feel better. He was extremely blown away by her responses! I do like the fact that she didn't try to sell me the bracelet that wasn't good for me. She won't try to make a sale with any ole' bracelet. She was very informative and I will recommend her to anyone. A truly magical experience!

Catherine is absolutely the best in pairing crystal/stones to assist and balance your energy. I came here in 2012 and purchased my first crystal bracelet from her and over the years, the bracelet broke. She was kind enough to restring my bracelet so that I can now wear it again. While there, she also showed me another crystal bracelet that would assist in my communication. How she knew this is amazing! She is excellent in reading your energy and matching which stones will work with your energy. If you are into reiki and/or metaphysics, I highly recommend seeing her as she can assist in your overall growth. Hawaii does not have many metaphysical stores so I would consider this to be a gem. Park across the street at Ross and purchase an item for 2 hours validated parking.

Pure Stone Shop is an open kiosk located on the 1st floor of Waikiki Shopping Plaza. My husband and i parked at the parking garage...we went on a Sunday, we paid $5 and it was cash only. I eventually found the kiosk and browsed through the glass counter tops checking out all the different pendants, bracelets, and crystals. Catherine was chilling on the couch next to her kiosk and came over to me after a couple minutes went by. Maybe she waits a bit to see if you're seriously looking to buy, or you're just someone who just stops to look at something pretty then go on your merry way. She comes up to me and I mention I read some stuff on yelp that she can read your energy and based on that, she will recommend a bracelet. She asked if it's for myself or someone else and I said it was for me. She then wanted to know what kind of "power stone" would I like? I didn't really know what she meant, but she gave examples like money, career, love, motivation, family, stress, health, and so on. I said what I wanted and she opened her glass case and picked out 5 different bracelets. She then told me to hold a bracelet to see if I feel any warmth. I nervously hold one and try my best to feel for "something." Some bracelets she told me to hold in my right hand, some she told with my left. Out of the 5 bracelets I took a liken to 2, one had all black stone beads and the other had pastel colored looking beads. I don't know why I liked the 2, I was just drawn to them. She then pulled out some book pages and told me to read the description of different crystals and if I was ok with them, which I was. She then told me the reasons why she picked the pastel looking bracelet for me. What each crystal does and how it would affect my energy. She then described my energy, the way I act, and the way I think. It was not common things that anyone could relate to. She gave me directions on how to use the bracelet. For example, wear it on my left hand when I'm looking for a job and when I go to the interview to wear it on my right hand. If you have any questions she'll try her best to answer it. In fact she gave me her card and said to call her if I ever have any questions. The bracelet I got was listed at $110. I didn't mention I was local, but I guess she could tell and she gave me a kamaaina discount, which came out to $99 ($103.66 with tax.) I know it's kinda expensive, but it was a pretty interesting experience and I'd definitely come back for more.

I finally met Catherine in the store, whenever I visit she is always busy with her customer, and she is recommended by my coworker that knows her. So I went and I bought me healing stone bracelet that the meaning are for my personality and love, and then she fix me a good chain of beads which helps circled around my issues in my personality. And she briefly explain every type of stone for my bracelet and how to take care of it. Catherine is very nice and knowledgeable of every stone in the shop. I would definitely come back to her shop in the future.

I went in and out of the dressing rooms a few times while trying on outfits, and none of them had a basket or spot for purses. Each time I had to hang my handbag on a hanger with the clothes, since I refuse to put my handbag on the dirty ground. Finally, the very last dressing room I tried did have a basket at the bottom, which was much better. The clothing and jewelry are adorable -- some even look handmade -- and I did buy a few outfits and a cute pair of earrings. Prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are unique and eye-catching, so if you're looking for something different, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, checkout brought the experience down. Since I didn't need a bag, the sales associate handed me my clothes directly, but forgot my earrings. I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I tried looking everywhere for a phone number -- Yelp, the Ala Moana directory, the internet -- and couldn't find one. The only number I found just rang with no answer. So instead of calling, I had no choice but to drive all the way back through traffic. When I arrived, the sales associate saw me, handed me the earring, and said she was "going to text me." No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience" -- nothing. Considering they have my number from the rewards program sign-up, that was disappointing. Overall, Sugar Sugar is a cute boutique with stylish pieces, but expect boutique pricing and limited dressing room amenities. The service could use improvement, especially when mistakes happen.
