Ok Yelpies, this is one of my very few non food reviews but after visiting Catherine at the Pure Stone Shop in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, you will definitely have a different aspect on everything. Catherine is a lady who in my eyes is almost like a psychic because she will give you a reading by just waving her hands around your body by checking your energy levels in your body and will see which stones would be perfect for your aura. Now you don't pick which stones you like because they look pretty, she picks them for you. She is just amazing at what she does. What she will do is put some stones in one hand and have you put your thumb and index finger together and she will try to pull them apart with both hands. When she has found the right combination of stones for your bracelet, your fingers will become stuck together and nothing can pull them apart which means all the energy is within yourself. I have met several people who have visited Catherine (or Katherine- not quite sure). I walked up to her and said "I am looking for something for general, physical health". And she said "What else?" - "Peace" I replied. She paused a moment, then began stating my mental and physical problems, my interpersonal relationship issues, my personality characteristics that hinder my ability to progress, my sensitivity, and more. Pure Stone Shop is an open kiosk located on the 1st floor of Waikiki Shopping Plaza. My husband and i parked at the parking garage...we went on a Sunday, we paid $5 and it was cash only. I eventually found the kiosk and browsed through the glass counter tops checking out all the different pendants, bracelets, and crystals. Catherine was chilling on the couch next to her kiosk and came over to me after a couple minutes went by. Maybe she waits a bit to see if you're seriously looking to buy, or you're just someone who just stops to look at something pretty then go on your merry way. She comes up to me and I mention I read some stuff on yelp that she can read your energy and based on that, she will recommend a bracelet. She asked if it's for myself or someone else and I said it was for me. She then wanted to know what kind of "power stone" would I like? I didn't really know what she meant, but she gave examples like money, career, love, motivation, family, stress, health, and so on. I said what I wanted and she opened her glass case and picked out 5 different bracelets. She then told me to hold a bracelet to see if I feel any warmth. I nervously hold one and try my best to feel for "something." Some bracelets she told me to hold in my right hand, some she told with my left. Out of the 5 bracelets I took a liken to 2, one had all black stone beads and the other had pastel colored looking beads. I don't know why I liked the 2, I was just drawn to them. She then pulled out some book pages and told me to read the description of different crystals and if I was ok with them, which I was. She then told me the reasons why she picked the pastel looking bracelet for me. What each crystal does and how it would affect my energy. She then described my energy, the way I act, and the way I think. It was not common things that anyone could relate to. She gave me directions on how to use the bracelet. For example, wear it on my left hand when I'm looking for a job and when I go to the interview to wear it on my right hand. If you have any questions she'll try her best to answer it. In fact she gave me her card and said to call her if I ever have any questions. The bracelet I got was listed at $110. I didn't mention I was local, but I guess she could tell and she gave me a kamaaina discount, which came out to $99 ($103.66 with tax.) Catherine gave each of us a reading and I must admit that she *hit it on the nail* when it came to me. Kinda like a psychic. Of course there were some things I wasn't expecting to hear/didn't like, but it is what it is. You take it with a grain of salt. The bracelet she chose for me had rose quartz, a little moon stone and lapis. The bracelet was $88. I definitely wasn't expecting it to be that pricey for a few stones, but supposedly it works. My gf had really strong energy that was affecting Catherine during her reading of her. You could tell she was uncomfortable and her stones were getting cold on the side my gf was standing...pretty trippy. I recently saw Catherine again. My first bracelet broke 3 times over the course of a year and though I had her fix it each time I decided not to proceed a fourth time. 3 is my max limit I give to anything. I went to get a new bracelet and have her update me on where I was in life at the time. She nailed my energy just as she did the first time and proceeded to have me try on a couple bracelets. I was fortunate enough to see Catherine over the Memorial Day weekend and I loved the experience. I told her that I wanted to buy a bracelet and she asked me what I wanted the bracelet to help me with. She focused on that area and picked out two for me to choose from. The first bracelet was beautiful but when I put the second one on, I could feel that it was right for me. Catherine was able to pick up on areas of my life that I needed to focus on. I loved the experience. Catherine is very sweet and gifted at what she does. I think I caught her at her dinner break and had to wait a bit, but I went to the food court downstairs and enjoyed a meal there. Next time, I will probably call before I go, just to make sure she is in. She is a one-woman show, so be patient with her :) She has a kiosk on the 1st floor of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, right next to Starbucks, between AX and a beauty/cosmetics store. I though parking was reasonable, I paid $7 to park in the building between 6PM-12 AM. WSP is close to International Marketplace and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center too and it makes it easy to explore the area. read more

The Yelp reviews for this place peaked my curiosity so during my visit to Hawaii last week, I decided to check this place out. Can you say BLOWN AWAY by Catherine!! She asked me what I was looking for and I mentioned I saw her review on Yelp and came to check things out. I expressed a few concerns I had and she then just kind of looked me over and started talking. Mind you, Catherine is not a psychic, but strangely, it was like she knew my personality! It was incredible.. she described me and how I react to things, to a tee!! She picked out a few bracelts for me and told me to hold it. She said I should feel a warmth. The first one, nothing. Then the second one, I suddenly felt it heat up - it was odd.
