Wow! My first to this place. I'm really a chicken for this gyn stuff despite me being a medical professional myself. This Dr. was quick and to the point! Very nice, professional and concerned. The staff was very nice the place was very clean. I recommend this place to anyone. Definitely sticking to this place. read more

Dr Goncharov is the best ! My wife has been seeing him for years now and he has been nothing but great to us. He delivered our first son great and was very caring and reliable with what he does. We listened to him every step of the way and our son is healthy and strong and always runs all over his office when we go for appointments. Were expected to deliver our second son this July and goncharov has been very helpful and caring like when we first met him, he is a great doctor and makes time for all of his patients. To me he seems like the best doctor in NYC and deserves great words for his practice ! We always will continue to see him even after our second son. Also he is very kind to put up a picture of our son on his bulletin wall In the lobby so were graceful for that:) read more

This was the best OBGYN experience I've ever had. Dr. Mbaye was friendly and knowledgeable, and there was no wait. The physician's assistant and receptionists were also friendly and make you feel at ease. They even removed and replaced my Nexplanon, when normally you'd have to schedule separately for that rather than handle it during your annual exam. The waiting room is pleasantly decorated with real paintings (not prints) and cozy furniture, which might seem silly to mention, but I know many women get anxious for these appointments, so it's a thoughtful touch to create an environment that doesn't feel sterile, like a hospital. Definitely found my new doctor! read more

Beautiful, clean professional environment. I am new patient to this practice and I love it. No long wIt, no overcrowding and Dr Yoo is very professional and listens to you. I would definitely recommend. read more

Dr Mbaye is so nice and caring. She really makes you feel calm and I will use her moving forward. Staff was really nice as well!

Beautiful space, fast, efficient, warm, and made plenty of time for questions. I felt totally comfortable on my first visit and will be back again :) read more

Everyone here was nice, I felt like it was a very comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere which was great. I came in for a consultation on getting my IUD changed and the only issue I had was there's somewhat misleading information on the website about their local anesthetic option. It's available but it doesn't necessarily provide the comfort that you'd think it would, is my understanding. I still have yet to get the procedure done but hopefully it's a comfortable process. None the less everyone at this location was great, I'd recommend it. read more

Considering the kind of insurance I have, it was a miracle that this place accepts it! Beautiful and clean office, with nice and professional staff. Coffee and water station if you need it. Relaxed atmosphere. I really liked NP Marina Kuperman, who was the practitioner accepting my insurance. Thank God! NP Kuperman explained everything I wanted to know, had great bedside manner and was respectful of any concerns I had. I definitely recommend her! Thank you PureOBGYN! Keep up the high standard of professionalism and humility. It makes all the difference! read more

I chose pure OBGYN for my first pregnancy and I have no regrets. The doctors are fantastic and always make me feel comfortable. And the sonographer Megan is AMAZING. She makes a somewhat awkward experience feel fun and lighthearted. I genuinely enjoy seeing her each time I go. read more

This place is is unprofessional they give appointment, 30 minutes before the appointment because they can't verify because the billing department is close you have to pay and them file for it back from your insurance. I came in so nervous for my first appointment and right away the office manager Diane put me at ease. She explained everything about my insurance policy, made scheduling appointments and understanding the office dynamic a breeze and ultimately persuaded me in my decision to choose PureObgyn to treat me throughout my first pregnancy. I am so grateful for her and all her help and I truly feel she and the rest of the office goes above and beyond for the patients. My experiences with all the doctors and midwives have been nothing less than amazing and I love the state of the art office. Can't thank Diane and the PureObgyn team enough!!! read more

Amber Rosenthal and staff were great! I felt super comfortable and listened to all of my concerns. Despite being very busy, she didn't rush and took her time explaining everything to me. Overall an amazing experience. read more

Wow. Truly wow. First, the office is beautiful And all staff are incredibly helpful and wonderful to interact with. Then comes Elisabeth Markus-Sullivan. My new queen and hero. She was quick, efficient, friendly, asked for consent all of the time, made me feel comfortable, and settles my nerves about things that other doctors have made me worry about for years. I couldn't recommend anyone more. She is incredible and worth ANY trip to get to the office. read more

they were super helpful & my pap smear was easy peasy, the nurse was happy to answer any questions i had

I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a doctor. The billing is horrendous. Despite numerous follow-ups, I continue to get billed for labs that my insurance covers. Not only was my insurance number input incorrectly, even my name was spelled incorrectly, which led to improper processing of my insurance. I have spent so much time - calls and emails - attempting to resolve this clear mistake, and yet there has been no response from PureObgyn. I also suspect they improperly order unnecessary tests so that they can charge more. I have switched doctors and am much happier elsewhere. read more

Dr. Woodbury is very thoughtful and good (I highly recommend) but have found when switching to other doctors onsite, I had to start over with my background and circumstances. If you have an otherwise healthy OBGYN background, this place would work nicely. However, I'd recommend other places for any infertility questions and discussions, as the staff did not have much sensitivity in dealing with these cases. The billing is also a bit opaque and requires patience. read more

Absolutely appalled at Alexander Goncharov, M.D. He completely and utterly mistreated our 21 year old daughter. She went simply to seek advice on the contraceptive pill as the one she had been given was causing problems. He shouted at her, tried to insist on an internal examination, which is absolutely inappropriate and gave zero advice. Telling her to go and see someone else. My daughter travelled over an hour to a last minute appointment as she was really suffering, and to experience this man, was belittling and scary for her. I am making an official complaint as such behaviour should NEVER be allowed. Pure OBGYN you are misleading women on your website you say: Pure is the most complete, advanced, and compassionate women's care in NYC: Utter lies when it relates to this man! read more

Do not come to this office, no matter how well-rated the doctors are on other websites. This was my first visit to this office. I received 2 phone calls and a text on the day of my appointment - reminders not to be late. When I then arrived on time, I waited in the office for 35 minutes, until finally l was told that the wait was so long that I would need to reschedule. Nope, I'll go somewhere else, thanks. read more

OMG this place is THE worst! One of the reviewer's said "I'm not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from." Well, let me tell you. Yes, the offices are beautiful and yes the techs are friendly, kind and able. But that's were the good stuff ends. The front end workers are jerks. The doctor's "care" is lackluster at best. NO ONE ever calls you about your test results - good or bad. Oh and here's the cherry on top. I'm pregnant. In my third trimester. I just got a call - DAYS before the holidays - that the office will no longer be accepting my health insurance as of January 1st. The girl I spoke to was kind enough to inform me that it doesn't mean I have to find another doctor, I just have to pay out of pocket. Each visit is $500.00. And that's just to get an ultrasound and speak to the doctor (yes, speak to the doctor - he does nothing else at these visits). Because I have NOTHING else to worry about in my 3rd trimester, I now ALSO have to find a new doctor. Yeah, this place sucks. read more

Great staff! Marina Kuperman is the first practitioner I have ever seen who actually listened and gave great advice. DO NOT GO HERE. I had have never witnessed so much incompetence at a doctor's office. First, the call center is terrible. You can't actually call the offices directly and therefore, they have people giving you the runaround. Nobody is on top of anything because you're not speaking with a nurse or doctor - just a person who works at the call center, as if to say, "don't be upset that we can't help you - we're not the doctors." Secondly, I was told I needed a procedure done ASAP that could be cancerous after a certain number of years. Something about it sounded sketchy since my former doctor in NJ never mentioned such a thing or performed an ultrasound/sonogram herself and she is an excellent doctor. I only go here because I moved to NYC and this is more convenient given their hours. The doctor at Pure asked me to meet him in his office where he spoke in hushed tones and informed me that while they were covered under my insurance, the anesthesiologist was not, but they negotiated a deal to get the fee from $1,500 to $350. At first I thought, "wow, great deal!" and then I wondered why I should pay anything at all if my former obgyn might do it for free since she also take my insurance. My only concern was that she's in NJ so if I needed the procedure done ASAP it would have to be over the summer when I'm off from work. I met with her and she told me that VERY RARELY do you actually need the procedure done if there aren't symptoms associated with it and was wondering why they did an ultrasound/sonogram to begin with, especially given the cost. I naively told her that I only paid my co-pay to which she remarked, "but someone IS paying. that's just another way to get more $$ from the insurance company." Shady. Then she told me there was no point in her doing all the tests again if they already did them - she could analyze their results. She sent over a medical request form 5 TIMES to Pure and nobody responded. I was on the phone with them multiple times as was my doctor in NJ and kept being told, "the stenographer has to print them." or "we're sending them right now." BUT NOBODY ACTUALLY DID ANYTHING. In the end, I had to go there in person to get a copy and then was informed that they "don't save the images." So this whole thing might be for nothing. BTW, every time I leave that office a staff member is smoking outside. Love nurses who smoke, especially around babies and pregnant women. Also, I agree with others. The bathroom and facilities are dirty. Never going back. read more

Today I saw Dr. Guerra, Technician Shana, and Assistant Emily. All three were the embodiment of professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and kind. I am generally an anxious person especially when it pertains to medical stuff, and they put me at ease. Plus, the aesthetic of the office is lovely and lifts the spirits. I highly recommend Pure OBGYN. read more

It has taken me a very long time to find a comparable OBGYN office to my previous home. After 3 years searching, I have finally found a high performing office that goes beyond clean, efficient, and beyond professional. From my first introduction to the office with Colleen on the phone, who went above and beyond to assist me and my first appointment to the front desk that were comforting, informative, and very kind to the Providers who took the time to inform me, care for me, and listen to my concerns. Pure OBGYN is ions away from most NY offices and it's nice to see a step up in women's care that I was concerned NY was lacking. The experience I received puts Pure OBGYN in a league of their own and I highly recommend! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE. I called to set up an appointment for an IUD and the staff told me I needed a consultation first, so I set that up. When I went in, Dr. Schultis told me I didn't need the consultation and could do it right then. However, I was in the middle of a work day and knew I'd need to take a day off for it. This meant I wasted money on a copay for nothing. Before the appointment, I decided on a certain IUD I wanted, and when I told her, she completely disregarded my feelings and started telling me why that was a terrible idea and telling me why I should get a different one. I understand she is a professional and maybe her suggestion was valid, but the way she did it completely belittled me and my thoughts. When I came back for the IUD, I was left writhing in pain after the insertion while I heard the staff screaming at each other in the hallway over who was supposed to be in the room doing my post-insertion check. When someone did finally come in, she spent the entire time complaining that she was not supposed to be working that day while forcefully performing two ultrasounds (inner and outer). At the end, she asked "Were you crying? You have mascara running down your face." I was then asked to come back a month later for a check-up where I was given two more ultrasound. No one I know who has an IUD has been given an ultrasound let alone FOUR unless they had an issue with it. A few months later, I received a huge bill in the mail for all of those ultrasounds that I am now left to pay. And, finally, the entire staff is incredibly rude and curt. You will get a different answer to the same question out of each of them. read more

I made an appointment on zoc doc and gave them my insurance. They called and confirmed and said that they would see me on Sunday. Then when I arrive they said they didn't take my insurance. Then they tried to convince me to go out of network. If I chose that route they claim they would wave all fees and accept whatever the insurance would give them. I then asked them to give this to me in writing but then backtracked on what they said. Needless to say, my valuable time was wasted and I decided not to go through with the appointment. Ladies be careful with these people. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I met with Dr. Solomon on 6/14 to discuss the Nexplanon Implant and have my yearly check up. I had to wait a little over an hour from my scheduled appointment to see the Dr. but I'm pretty used to that. I was happy to find that she answered many of my questions and seemed very kind. We scheduled an appointment for two weeks later to Insert the Nexplanon implant because they didn't have any in stock and explained that it takes generally a week for them to be delivered. She suggestsed a week padding time for the delivery. When I came in two weeks later for my insertion appointment I waited about 30 mins to be seen by a nurse. She had me do a urine sample, after returning to her with the sample she informed me that they did not have any Nexplanon implants available and I will need to come back. I asked how that could be ask the Dr. explained she would order them, she said they were on back order. I then asked if I could get back my 50$ copay I had already paid for the visit, they said they would credit it for my next appointment. So, the next week I called to see when I could schedule another appointment, they said in another week they would have the Nexplanon and would reserve one for me. I asked them to prescribe me a birth control pill until then and I made sure to be very direct that it needed to be progesterone only, which should be in my chart anyways. Lo in behold, they prescribed me a combined bc pill which is of absolutely no use to me. I had to call back and have them re prescribe the correct pill which again wasted my time and set back my ability to take the bc. They also only prescribed me a month saying that I would have the Nexplanon by the end of the month. I never received a call regarding the Nexplanon re-stock (which I checked in on each time I called about the pill birth control, just to be told it had not arrived). When I called again to see if it was received yet they continued to tell me it was out of stock and would be another two weeks. I asked why it was taking so long the person on the phone could not give me any helpful information because she was not at the office but worked at the call center. She couldn't resolve any of my issues, I asked for my 50$ copay to be refunded since I decided I was done being ignored and I wasn't interested coming back and she said she could not do that. I asked to speak with a manager or someone would could better help and she said they would have to call me back... still waiting for that call back. After this over a month long experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone. Yes it is fancy with its aesthetic tea and water and Dr. Solomon seems like she is a competent doctor but, the staffs level of organization and professionalism is deeply lacking. I have never felt so mistreated, dismissed and swindled as I have by Pure OBGYN. This is coming from someone with an autoimmune disease and is pretty regularly interacting with the medical industry in NYC. I'm still waiting for my call back, still waiting to be re reimbursed for the 50$ copay I paid on an appointment that did not happen due to the negligence. Don't go here for you OBGYN needs, unless you are looking to waste your time. read more

Update: going to the doctor to get an IUD is a crap shoot. Gone in twice - waited and waited - only the hear "I just put the last one in.... we usually don't get so many". Let's see if third time the charm, because I didn't have to say no to helping young minds to sit in a waiting room to find it was pointless. read more

I absolutely love Dr Goncharv. He answered all my questions, my concerns and always available when I needed him. He also introduced me to Marina Kuperman (NP) and she was also wonderful. They both took their time every time I seen him or her. I especially love when he took his time when I went into labor and when my son wasn't coming out naturally and had to do a C-section. Dr Goncharov made me feel comfortable with my decision and proceed on making sure that my son came out safe. He didn't give up on trying to make the baby come out naturally though, he even got me a midwife to help me with my wish on having a natural birth. Since my son was stubborn on coming out ... I just wanted to make sure he came out safe and that's what Dr. Goncharov did! I recommend this place 100%! And the staff! Wonderful! read more

Dr. Solomon seems very friendly, she didn't make me  feel rushed. However, I had a bad experience with one of her staff. The African American young lady who drew my blood was very unprofessional. When I first arrived I peed in the container and placed it in the silver box in the bathroom as I was instructed.  After the ultrasound I was told to wait in the waiting room for blood test and then the doctor will call me again for one last time.  I waited for about 15 mns no one called me for blood test. The doctor called me to go over my ultrasound that's when I told her I wasn't called for blood work yet, of course she was shocked because I was waiting for a while. I saw many available Medical Assistants /nurse walking around. I guess because it was literally near closing time (couple minutes after 7 p.m.), they were in a bad mood, rushing to go home, cleaning the office so no one cared to acknowledge me as I was waiting.  The doctor quickly left me in the room and went outside came back with another container and said " sorry, it looks like we gonna need you to pee again". In my head I'm thinking what happened to the last pee I provided?? The doctor discussed my ultrasound result and told me to go "pee and take it with you to the lab to do the blood test". If she had not told me to take the pee to the lab, I would've left it in the bathroom as I did before, right?  So I went to the lab, of course no one acknowledged me, I approached one of the young lady in blue and told her I need blood work done. She took me to the room and then when she saw I was holding the pee container she told me with an attitude, in an aggressive tone "next time you need to leave that in the bathroom". I said the doctor told me to take it with me to the lab. I peed when i first came in, I don't know what happened to it. Her response " WELL THE LAST GIRL THAT WAS HERE WAS CLEANING BEFORE SHE LEFT,  SHE THREW IT AWAY. WHATEVER IS LEFT IN THERE, IF THE DOCTOR DOESN'T GIVE US ORDERS, WE THROW THEM OUT". I'm thinking to myself, that's not normal.  I didn't debate, I like to avoid arguments. Then I politely asked her if the container wouldn't get mixed up because only my first name was on the lable, no last name or DOB. She said with an angry tone, very aggressively " YOU'RE THE LAST PATIENT HERE. WE ARE CLOSED. IT NEEDS TO HAVE A LABLE ON IT WHEN WE'RE SENDING IT".  I find that very unprofessional and disorganized.  I had every right to ask why my full name or date of birth wasn't on the container. Even if I were the last patient? I wasn't the last patient! The doctor was seeing her last patient as I was in the lab. Things could easily get mixed up, that's how patients get misdiagnosed. I've never had such experience at any doctor's  office. Like I said the doctor was nice but my experience with that young lady who drew my blood ruined it for me. She needs good manners. I'm traumatized. I honestly don't want to return and have to interact with that lady. Even if it was a free clinic, I wouldn't feel comfortable being spoken to that way. Mind you I have a great private insurance. I will look for another doctor. Thank you for seeing me Dr. Solomon. Unfortunately, due to that horrible experience, I won't be returning. I feel like that was not the proper way to speak with a patient, this was my first visit and I left the office feeling upset and sad.   PS. They made me sign an "out of network form" although zocdoc told me they were in network. The receptionist said she checked and my insurance will cover everything. I told her I was skeptical because I don't want to end up with a big bill in the mail. She said don't worry, your insurance will send u the check, just bring it to us. I'm praying to God it won't be a hassle after all I went through during my first visit. read more
