Dr. Brennan and his wife, Jais, made our pregnancy and delivery experience of our first child as seamless and as worry-free as possible. My husband and I feel lucky we found Dr. Brennan through Googling, and after our very first meeting realized that the mode of care he and Jais provide--expert, personalized, unrushed, warm, attentive, responsive--is truly one-of-a-kind in this day and age. Throughout my pregnancy, I continued to marvel that if I ever had a question or needed help, I could reliably reach Dr. Brennan or Jais (also highly expert) quickly via phone. I never felt like I was bothering them with questions or concerns. There was never any portal message tag that you get at other offices--it was always a prompt call back. This responsiveness provided me and my husband with great peace of mind, and it frankly ended up feeling like a bragging point amongst our friends, none of whom have had similarly personalized experiences with their providers. It felt like a gift to know that Dr. Brennan, with whom we'd been building a relationship for many months, was the doctor who would reliably deliver our baby (not the case at big practices). Our baby was breech and needed to be delivered via planned C-Section, which I felt emotionally prepared for, thanks to Dr. Brennan and Jais. Dr. Brennan's office coordinated everything well with Lenox Hill Hospital, which, by the way, was fantastic as well. The morning of delivery, when nerves are naturally high, Dr. Brennan's characteristic calm, kind, and witty demeanor was such a balm. Our baby was born beautiful and healthy six weeks ago, and my recovery has been smooth so far. I couldn't recommend Dr. Brennan more enthusiastically for the right family (those who want a highly personalized and un-rushed experience from an experienced physician). Having Dr. Brennan by my side during my first pregnancy was amazing. He's extremely knowledgable, calming, and also attentive. I had his personal cell number and could text or call at any time - he literally ALWAYS answered the phone. I had a few freakouts during pregnancy and he always had me come in to his office and did a thorough check and reassured me along the way. I also had some complications after birth with high blood pressure and he had me text him every single day for weeks checking in to make sure things went back to normal. Here for a follow up, I had a very wonderful birth experience with my daughter while in the care of Dr. Brennan & Mrs. Brennan. I received personalized care from top to bottom. My concerns for Black maternal health were addressed and the Brennans reassured me of their top tier care each time. Camilla who handles reception was also a gem .. My experience at Lenox Hill was amazing, the food was great also. If I had to do it again I would definitely entrust my life with Dr.Brennan and team. My life literally depended on it. Shocked at the number of positive reviews of Dr. Brennan and wife! Mainly, the positive reviews are related to birthing and pregnancy. My life was set on a continuous downhill spiral after seeking treatment for fibroids with Dr. Brennan. It all started with a myomectomy surgery at the world's most disreputable hospital LICH (now defunct). Based on the fact that I also have adenomyosis (similar to endo and causes healing problems), Dr. Brennan should have referred me to a specialist. Following surgery, Dr. Brennan did not act as my advocate when nurses failed to provide me the appropriate pain medication the night following surgery. The healing process did not go well (much pain due to development of adhesions), Dr. Brennan prescribed Lupron. After receiving Lupron (3 months), I wound up on disability. Dr. Brennan couldn't provide visit notes or any other documentation to support my insurance claim. Dealing with his office is a nightmare. I'd never had health issues earlier on in my life so I did not know better. This was a devastating learning process. I would highly recommend avoiding Dr. Brennan at all costs and would finally callout an extreme lack of hygiene in his personal habits. read more

Dr. Brennan and his wife Jais were an incredible, supportive duo during my first pregnancy and delivery! I love how they compliment each other...plus they truly, truly care about their patients. I am SO THANKFUL I found their practice. They both make themselves available at any time of day from day one, which is so, so rare and valuable. I was actually debating going the midwifery route, but when found Dr. Brennan's practice around the corner from our home, I discussed my more holistic preferences for pregnancy and birth with him and he was supportive, open and curious about how he could best accommodate my vision. I love how relaxed Dr. Brennan is, yet he is diligent during every visit to make sure baby and mom are progressing well and explains everything thoroughly. I had quite a few birth preferences, as my intention was to deliver without medication or interference --not common in a hospital like Lenox Hill. But I did it, WE did it. After laboring at home for a majority of labor (a preference of mine and Dr. Brennan's so long as all is going well), I got to the hospital 8 cm dilated, 80% effaced and head at zero...Dr. Brennan met me soon after and told me he would be observing me as I neared time to push. I loved his approach. I knew he was there, but he was allowing me to do my thing. He didn't rush me. He allowed and guided when necessary. Where do I begin! I delivered my first and 2nd baby with Dr. Brennan and his wife Jais. We can't imagine ever having another child without Dr. Brennan caring for our family. Dr. Brennan and Jais genuinely love what they do and provide the level of service, care and expertise that you deserve during your pregnancy, childbirth and most importantly, post-partum. They are also incredibly kind and caring people that make you feel like family. I also appreciated their HAES approach to care. His bedside manner is so genuine. My 2nd pregnancy was much more difficult and they were always accessible via cell phone. I ended up having a scheduled C-Section and the personal care I received during the procedure and recovery was phenomenal. Where do I begin? I initially went to Dr. Brennan for a procedure based on a few recommendations from local moms and got pregnant with my 2nd soon after. Choosing Dr. Brennan as my OBGYN (and Jais, his wife and your guide and cheerleader throughout your pregnancy, and Carmella, their lovely and sweet receptionist) counts as one of the top 5 best decisions I've ever made in my life. This type of practice just doesn't exist anymore - Dr. Brennan and Jais have fully dedicated themselves to mothers-to-be - it's a true family practice where you're not treated like a number and your doctor is YOUR doctor; the one who will deliver your baby, who will follow the plan you lay out, know your name and remember the previous conversations you've had. They are insistent on you calling them - any time, any day, with any question and they will be there for you. Talk about the opposite of a typical New York birth factory. When the visits became more frequent as my pregnancy progressed, I looked forward to my weekly appointments and left the office every week telling my husband "I love this place so much." In terms of the actual delivery: what a 180 compared to my first birth. Dr. Brennan was there every step of the way and when my daughter was born, she came into the world in the calmest, most peaceful way possible. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful experience than what I had and due to the care I had, I came home a day later feeling like I hadn't even given birth. My body felt great which I truly believe is a testament to Dr. Brennan. I was also told that my baby looked like a C-section baby (she wasn't), in that her head wasn't squished in - and I'm convinced it's because she was born in the gentlest and calmest manner - not pulled, not rushed. The Lenox Hill Hospital also gave me a great experience - they truly allow you to bond with your baby while also tending to your needs (sleep!). The maternity wing is quiet, sleepy, and full of incredible nurses who are there to facilitate a smooth first few days with your baby. The only downside to going to this practice is that when you have your baby, you won't be seeing Dr. Brennan and Jais as frequently, which is truly sad. Update 2020: I just had my second child with Dr. Brennan and felt very fortunate to be under his care during such crazy times as COVID-19. Dr. Brennan and Jayce are handling patients during COVID-19 with such care and grace, keeping everyone safe and sane. My favorite thing about Dr. Brennan is that he will always be the one to deliver your baby (not like a standard OBGYN practice) and it always works out, even though I have extremely fast labors Dr.Brennan always knows when to rush to the hospital to get there just in time (e.g. last time his rushed from a black tie event and delivered by baby in a tux). We couldn't wait to return to their practice for our regular visits when I became pregnant with our second daughter. Dr. Brennan makes himself available to you for anything and everything and takes the time you need to make you feel comfortable and informed throughout. Both of my birth experiences were phenomenal and I felt like a VIP at Lenox Hill because I was a patient of Dr. Brennan's (the nurses there request to care for his patients because they love him so much!). His bedside manner is professional and caring and he is very well-respected by the entire staff at the hospital. He takes charge in the delivery room to ensure that you and your baby are safe and comfortable throughout. My labor progressed quickly while at home during my second delivery. Dr. Brennan rode with us in our car from Brooklyn, called ahead to the head nurse in L&D at Lenox Hill to provide the most efficient check in and setup for me at the hospital when we arrived. That is the type of personal attention and care he provides which saved me a lot of time and pain than if we had just gone on our own. I can't recommend him enough. If you are looking for a Dr. who is experienced and no-nonsense but also really listen to your needs, concerns and apprehensions, go meet Dr. Brennan. He is up front about which tests you need and don't need and has advanced equipment in his office which saves you from having to go to the hospital for each of the scans. The BEST doctor I have ever had! As someone who has anxiety in medical situations and being pregnant with my first baby, I was especially nervous about what it'd be like throughout pregnancy and the labor and delivery experience. I wanted a doctor who could not only provide excellent medical care but who would also be understanding of my anxiety. Dr. Brennan and his wife, Jais, went above and beyond anything I could have dreamed of. As my husband now says...there is no doctor that will ever meet my standards again after having been a patient of the Brennans. Here are the highlights of what made our experience so wonderful: -Their bedside manner is as kind, caring, and attentive as a family member would be. They genuinely cared about us and our baby. I felt more like a friend than a patient. -During our first appointment, they provided us with each of their personal cell phone numbers and said to call for anything at any time, no matter how big or small our questions may be. And unlike many offices these days, they actually answered or would return our calls very promptly. This is even more impressive considering their demanding schedules with other patients. -When I went into labor, Dr. Brennan was my biggest advocate at the hospital. We had discussed delivery options based on my situation, and when things didn't go as planned at the hospital, Dr. Brennan advocated for what I needed and wanted in that delivery room. -After giving birth, Dr. Brennan and Jais continue to be available to us for my postpartum care. He even dropped by my suite at the hospital to simply check in to see how we were all doing. It was the nicest surprise. -During one of my appointments, I felt so overwhelmed and began crying. Jais spoke to me like a sweet friend and Dr. Brennan came back into the room to address any of my concerns. It felt more like a therapy session than a check-up. -Other reviews mention wait time and so I want to touch on that. We did often wait 15 - 30 minutes for our appointment but the care they provide is more than worth the wait. Plus, I have found that we would have experienced similar or even longer wait times for any doctor and so this never bothered us. -Since Dr. Brennan is a solo practitioner, our appointments occasionally needed to be rescheduled due to him going into the hospital for a delivery. This was rare. It happened maybe three times throughout my entire pregnancy (and I had weekly appointments for the last 20 weeks). And they always did whatever they could to ensure our needs were still being met. The only thing that disappoints me is knowing that if we decide to have another baby, due to us moving out of the city, we won't be able to have Dr. Brennan and Jais as our providers. I am hard-pressed to believe that my pregnancy or delivery would have been as positive of an experience had it not been for them! I will be forever grateful. read more

We knew we wanted to have Dr. Brennan deliver our first baby after my sisters experience of him delivering 4 of my nieces and nephew. It was the best decision possible! The care of Dr. Brennan, his wife Jais, and even Carmella the receptionist truly made our pregnancy journey wonderful. We looked forward to a long drive from Forest Hills, Queens to Brooklyn for every appointment to see them! They truly take their time with each appointment and even go through a very detailed birth plan which was the best and put my mind at ease! My actual birth was so positive thanks to Dr. Brennan. I was overly worried about it with being a first time mom, but with his support along with the staff at Lennox Hill I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Short version: Phenomenal clinic. I gave birth 8 weeks ago, right when Covid-19 was squeezing NY by the throat. It was a natural birth, my baby is healthy, and my body is basically back to normal - all things made possible by the expert care and support of Dr Brennan and his partner Jais. The cliff notes on this clinic are that it is exceptional - immaculate, outstanding patient care, quirky and kind bedside manners all round, and connected to the best hospital in NYC. I cannot recommend the practice highly enough. Long version: I was recommended to Dr Brennan by my boss (an experienced attorney who doesn't suffer fools), after I lamented the prevalence of arrogant, impersonal doctors. "You will love the Brennans," my boss said. "They are eccentric, experienced, won't push an agenda, they'll give you all the time in the world, and will make you feel like family." She was right on all counts. The Brennans invest seriously in their patients. Throughout my pregnancy, they discussed each decision point in depth, teasing out the best path forward. Perhaps because I'm a lawyer, I saw the fact that they would discuss pros and cons in front of me as a sign of true professionalism - they weren't arrogant enough to think there was one right path, and they weren't afraid to test one another's views to make sure we got it right. No question was stupid, and even if my appointment was initially 15 minutes long, they would keep answering my questions for an hour if needed. Dr Brennan is permanently on call for his patients, and I contacted him regularly with concerns that usually amounted to nothing but which he treated with the utmost seriousness. Yes, the flipside of this kind of personal care is that appointments sometimes start late, but I would rather wait for an appointment and have this level of attention than efficiently get bad service. (And to be fair, people like me regularly rock up 45 minutes late and throw their whole schedule out of whack...). Another important plus is that Dr Brennan is the only doctor. In so many practices you never see the same doctor more than twice, so when you are sick they don't have a point of comparison. (Nothing like being told you're fine when you feel like death). This meant that when I showed up at Dr Brennan's office late at night in serious pain from my contractions, he could trust right away that I wasn't playing around and needed pain relief stat. He could also read me like a book during labour - eg he suggested I use a mirror because I'm goal-orientated (and yes, it was a huge motivator!), and he knew when he could push me to the next level during delivery and when I truly needed a break from the pain. I'll always be grateful to Dr Brennan for staying so in tune with me. I trusted him, and if he'd said I needed a C-section I would have gone with that whether I'd wanted to or not - childbirth is full of risks and curveballs, and that's why we have experts like him to give us their best bet. Dr Brennan's connection to Lenox Hill Hospital is also a major drawcard. The staff are extremely supportive and professional, and that was so important since I was only allowed one support person (because of corona). A few days after my birth I had to go to the ER at a Brooklyn hospital on a non-birth related matter, and the staff were horrific - cold, unprofessional, no PPE, and the only way I got through that was because Dr Brennan coordinated with the ER doctors (and calmed me down!). Post-partem, the Brennans have also been incredible. They have seen me by Zoom, and started me on treatment on magnetic chair that gives a bajillian pelvic floor exercises in a short amount of time - well worth it! I was horrified to read a review that Dr Brennan is a 'yeller' and Jais tries to cover up - what bizarre accusations. Nothing could be further from the truth. Dr Brennan is calm, kind, and nothing is too difficult. Jais is also a delight - hilarious and incredibly supportive. They are cautious but not overzealous with testing, and they never pressured me - eg I decided not to get the amnio or the late term scans, and there was never any pressure to do the contrary. I was bemused by the reviewer who questioned the regular internal and external ultrasounds - how do you think Dr Brennan is supposed to see what's going on? Holistic fortune-telling? X-ray vision? Psychic ability? (Side note: I loved these ultrasounds - hearing my baby's heart beat each week was the most incredible part of pregnancy. Unlike most reviews touching on the brunch line wait, tasty lasagne, or a rude server I'm sharing an account of the doctor responsible for the birth of my child. I'm not a Yelp user but because choosing an ob is such a critical decision, I share my experience: My wife and I explored different ob-gyn options before deciding on Dr. Brennan. We were turned off by the impersonal nature of most of the practices in NYC. Dr. Brennan serves as the contrast to our initial experiences. Not only is he an exceptional physician, he has unmatched patience and compassion. I have always held doctors to a very high bar. Over the course of multiple visits, Dr. Brennan not only met these expectations but he surpassed them. He has an impressive understanding of obstetrics -- on a number of occasions he delved into more technical, complex explanations after sharing a very approachable summary. On a personal level it's challenging to fathom how anyone, let alone a doctor, is open to calls at all hours of the day/night, seven days a week. It's almost weird how willing Dr. Brennan is to receive calls from patients at all times, no questions asked. I'm reluctant to even share this willingness lest someone take advantage of his kindness. If he owns a watch, it doesn't work, or at least he doesn't care about it. He spent hours and hours attending to every question and concern (we had plenty!) throughout the course of our pregnancy on our timetable, not his. In conclusion, my wife gave birth to a beautiful, healthy son last month. In Dr. Brennan's hands we were confident there would be no other outcome. read more

Choosing this OB has been the biggest mistake of my life. I had an unnecessarily traumatic and painful delivery. My baby survived but I was damaged as a result of this OB. In office this OBs wife acts as a buffer and constantly corrects him when he misspeaks. They argue in front of patients. The office is disorganized and unsanitary. He's overworked. Forgetful. Sloppy and hasty with his decisions. I wish someone warned me beforehand to avoid this OB at all costs. I am completely shocked at the amount of positive reviews and question their validity. When I see some new yelp user that lives across the United States posting a glowing "first" review of a miracle birth at the hands of this OB - it's just totally unbelievable. I had to write something here to caution others. If I could turn back time, I wish I never stepped foot in this OBs office. The absolute worst. Trust me. read more

After an incredibly impersonal experience at a downtown Manhattan obgyn practice, I was thrilled to have found Dr. Brennan, who delivered my first (healthy!) child at Lennox Hill just over a month ago. He and his wife Jais took incredible care of me throughout my first pregnancy, during which they went above and beyond by sharing their time, availability, expertise, and warmth. Although some worry about going to a single-doctor practice, both Dr. Brennan and Jais shared their cell phone numbers at my first appointment and encouraged us to contact them at any hour. On just one occasion, another patient's delivery coincided with my appointment. Knowing that I was anxious to hear my baby's heartbeat, Jais called me when Dr. Brennan left the hospital at 8pm and invited me to come in to see him for the scan. When I went into labor at home, Dr. Brennan was already at the hospital but just as available as ever, calling me every hour to check in. While I was terrified I'd need a c-section, Dr. Brennan reassured me (again and again and again) that we'd make that decision together when the time came, and followed through: I had exactly the birth I wanted. I also want to give Dr. Brennan's support team a big shout out: Unlike literally every other doctor's office in Manhattan, his receptionists are kind and patient and friendly--an especially good thing if you happen to be super hormonal! If you want the kind of medical team that won't let you leave until your last question is answered; takes extra ultrasound photos for your fridge; works around your work schedule; and treats you more like family than a number, this practice is for you. read more

This will be my 3rd child that Dr. Brennan will be delivering. He is the most hands on doctor I know. I never feel like I'm bothering him and he is always available to me in whatever it maybe. I've had a situation (when I wasn't pregnant) and I needed to see him and he made adjustments to see me briefly on a weekend. There aren't many doctors that are willing to do that. Dr. Brennan and his wife, Jace are fantastic and have great bedside manner and they're stuck with me. :-). A brief story about Dr. B's kindness, I was suffering from some really bad back pain from my pregnancy and as you may know, there isn't much I can take to relieve the pain. Dr. B took a quick walk to the pharmacy to get solonpas for me. Him and his wife applied it on my back and gave me the remainder in the pack. These are the kind of people that you want taking care of you and your unborn child. I like the idea that every prenatal visit I have scheduled, he was able to check the length of my cervix, baby's heartbeat and take a look at the baby's progress. I'm not sure who these women are in the reviews that find that to be a problem. I give Dr. B a 2 thumbs up and know that he has my best interest in mind. Dr.Brennan has been my gynecologist since I was 12 years old, I am now 23 and he has delivered my perfect baby girl almost 3 months ago. I have never had a doctor be so attentive and care so much about his patients. And Jace and him make a fabulous team she always has a way of explaining things in a way that makes sense and makes you feel so great about yourself. I had an emergency c section and it was handled very professionally and with a very leveled head. I would recommend Dr. Brennan to anyone a million times over. Oh and might I add he gave me the most beautiful c section scar, I've seen some horrible butchered c section scars on my friends and mine is hardly there. read more

I delivered with Dr. Brennan about 6 weeks ago and honestly looking back I cannot imagine my pregnancy without him and Jais. We found Dr. Brennan when I was 8 weeks and I was very paranoid and scared about the pregnancy - since it was my first and it being during Covid times but this was the most positive, uplifting experience we could have asked for. Throughout my pregnancy whenever I had any doubts or wanted to just check on the baby, outside of our weekly visits - Jais and Dr. Brennan would call us in to make sure both baby and me were doing good. They're so personal and always welcoming it really felt like family. Dr. Brennan or Jais were always a phone call away and they attended to every little doubt or stupid question I had during my pregnancy. They've seriously gone out of their way to help us and make us feel comfortable. Starting from all the tests to scans to birth plan - Jais made sure that we understood all our options and went through each and every report with us in detail. I went over my due date and went to discuss options with him and I am so glad that he suggested me to do the right thing and wait for my labor to kick in. Within a day, my labor kicked in and my whole delivery experience was so positive and memorable. Dr. Brennan is extremely calm and very experienced and he's always so positive that even if you have any fears you'll feel so much better after chatting with him. I have been in Dr. Brennan's care for 3 years now -- from the beginning of my pregnancy with my first child in 2020, to the birth of my second child 10 days ago. I don't know how to begin to describe the amazing care I received from Dr. Brennan and Jais. My husband and I stayed in the neighborhood largely to be in their care for the second pregnancy. They operate their practice in a manner unheard of in this day and age -- it's clear that obstetrics is a much more than a job for them, it's a calling. They give their cell phone numbers to patients during the first appointment and encourage us to call any time of day or night. When I had a bit of a scare around the middle of my first pregnancy, they insisted I come in for appointments EVERY WEEK until I delivered. Insurance doesn't pay OB/GYNs per visit -- they pay per pregnancy. Dr. Brennan and Jais are incredibly patient and understanding -- such attentive care doesn't exist in the American medical system anymore. I couldn't recommend their practice more highly. I also want to shout out to Lenox Hill hospital, where Dr. Brennan delivers. I received OUTSTANDING care for both pregnancies, from the minute I stepped in to the building, to the moment I left. Dr. Brennan delivered both of my children, providing me with prenatal and postpartum care throughout both pregnancies. I cannot recommend him enough. In an age and city where women are bounced between 15+ providers at hospital-based group practices, Dr. Brennan's approach to providing care was such a welcomed change. Yes, having a sole practitioner does often translate to higher wait times, but I would take a slightly longer wait any day in exchange for what I gained: someone who I can call and talk to (versus a messaging service) whenever I need it (he literally gives you his personal cell num and encourages you to call); and a provider who knows me and my birth preferences, and is wIlling to advocate on my behalf. One other thing to add: childbirth cannot be controlled. Sometimes, a woman needs a c-section, episiotomy, etc. Dr. Brennan knew my birth preferences and advocated for them, but also was honest with me about where I was at. He always offered me all my options, and in the order of lowest risk to highest risk. Again, I can't recommend him enough. read more

Possibly the best decision I ever made was switching to Dr. Brennan late in my 2nd trimester. I was having communication issues with my first OB (odd office hours, would not call back for hours or sometimes days). But the change to Dr. Brennan was night and day! Dr. Brennan and Jace answered all my questions right away, fit me in for appointments as needed including a Sunday night when I was having what turned out to be prodromal labor pains. I am a First Time Mom during a pandemic, so I faced lots of challenges through my pregnancy, delivery, and after. But Dr. Brennan was a consummate professional and very cool, calm, and collected. He communicated with me throughout the labor process (getting me an extra night of sleep at home before heading to the hospital) and he delivered a happy, healthy baby to a happy and healthy mom. He checked in on my physical AND mental health postpartum. I will definitely use him if/when I have my next kid, and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone! read more

My experience (first time mom) with Dr Brennan and his wife, Jais, was truly fantastic and I would strongly recommend this exceptional and unique practice. From the start, I was looking for a Brooklyn-based doctor who delivered at a world class NYC hospital, and that drew me to Dr Brennan. It was one of the best decisions I made - the care I received from both Dr. Brennan and Lenox Hill was amazing. Dr Brennan reminded me of a family practice that's hard to find these days. He was always available - for a text or call, whenever I needed him. On a Sunday night, for example, I had an emergency, and Dr Brennan was able to see me immediately (he lives above his office) and evaluate a timely treatment plan. Additionally, the practice is extremely flexible - Dr Brennan was able to accommodate me for appointments after the workday throughout my pregnancy, which is pretty much unheard of these days... For a professional working corporate hours, this made a huge difference for me. When my son was born, I was so grateful to be at Lenox Hill with Dr Brennan, who knew the details of my birth plan and overall health. Dr Brennan knew that I wanted a natural birth to the extent it was possible, and coached me to support making that happen. Dr. Brennan also did my son's circumcision, which he did very well in his office a week after the birth, which we very much appreciated. The trauma of birth is enough for one day for the little ones. The staff, rooms, and postpartum resources at Lenox Hill are top notch - from the moment you arrive to when you leave, and a carseat safety expert is there to help you take your previous cargo home. We would be remiss to not also commend his wife Jais, who is equally caring, responsive and professional. The two make a dynamic duo. Dr. Brennan's practice is top notch. Dr. Brennan, Jayce and Shivana are such wonderful people and are very professional and accomodating. As a first time Mom, I felt so comfortable throughout my pregnancy with the care I received. No question was treated as silly or frivolous, all my calls and concerns were addressed promptly (even outside of office hours) and my delivery went smoothly without complications. Their approach to pregnancy is very balanced, low key, and reasonable. I never felt unnecessarily worried about things. Dr. Brennan came by my hospital room multiple times after the delivery and provided thorough postpartum care. It was also clear that he was very respected by the staff at Lenox Hill as all the nurses had kind things to say about him. Keep in mind this is a solo practice and Dr. Brennan makes it a point to answer all your questions and spend ample time with each of his patients. Sometimes you have to wait because of this level of care but if you call before your appt they can usually give you a good estimate. I would highly recommend this practice especially if you live in the neighborhood. read more

I was a first time and last time patient. Check in was easy and friendly, but I did not find the visit to be thorough. I was under the impression male doctors always needed a female nurse or NP in the room during exams for safety, comfort and accountability- Dr. Brennan did not have this. I suppose I could have requested a female present but did not. Also, the entire exam lasted 2-3 minutes. I don't prefer a long visit by any means, but it just didn't seem like a full yearly exam could be performed in such a short amount of time. The last irk was I was told to call for the results of my Pap smear in 2 weeks. Other doctors have always called me with results asap whether good or bad. But here it seemed like they wouldn't check results until I called myself to see if they were back. Dr. Brennan was nice, but it was just a very odd experience read more

I had a very good experience with Dr. Brennan. He's been in practice for a long time, so obviously has a great deal of knowledge, which I appreciated. I also appreciated how accessible he was when a few hiccups (which turned out to be nothing serious) came up. Dr. Brennan is very easy going. I did my first pregnancy at NYU and had so many questions, which was helpful for a first timer. With this being my second pregnancy, the more efficient (quicker) appointments actually worked better for me - obviously I had less questions this time around. Dr Brennan and his wife Jace, who runs the office and nursing side of the operation, have created the most wonderful family practice I could imagine anywhere, let alone a cut and thrust city like NYC. My husband and I went to Dr Brennan's as first time parents experiencing our first pregnancy. This practice will suit anyone looking for warm, conscientious and values-driven medical care. I was seen every time by Jace, who takes vitals and gives you all the time you need to ask questions and give reassurance. Then Dr Brennan would come in to do an ultrasound and address any technical medical issues. They both have an amazing bedside manner. I have honestly never felt more cared for in any medical situation - they took time to get to know us personally and build a genuine relationship with us. I can't tell you how much that meant to me when I was due to give birth at the apex of the Covid-19 pandemic when there was talk of not allowing any support partners into the hospital. Although that policy was never introduced at Lenox Hill, the hospital Dr Brennan is associated with, knowing that he would be there to deliver my baby was exceptionally reassuring. I don't know of anywhere else where you are guaranteed to always see one doctor for prenatal visits as well as the birth. As well as the personal care you get from the Brennans, the front desk staff are also worth a shoutout for being responsive, friendly and capable - sadly this can't often be said for other medical offices I've been to. When I was researching OBGYNs at the beginning of this baby journey I remember reading a review by someone who said they were sad to not be able to go back regularly to Dr Brennan's practice after they were finished with their postpartum period. I thought at the time that was an exaggeration, but that's also how I feel now my baby is one month old. I am going to miss them! read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr Brennan and his wife Jase. I came across Dr Brennan on Yelp a few years ago after moving to Brooklyn Heights and just feel so grateful to have had him as my provider for my two pregnancies. He works alone and is the type of doctor that I would have imagined you might find in a small town -- compassionate, always available, makes you feel heard, listens to all your concerns, remembers you and your family -- but based in the middle of Brooklyn. In both of my pregnancies, there wasn't a single time when he didn't return my call within 30 minutes (and patiently answered any questions or concerns I had, some of which were probably silly). Both times I went into labor in the night and he had me come over to the office first to check my cervix before sending me to the hospital so i wouldn't have to make an unnecessary trip. Both of my sons had their umbilical cords wrapped around their necks during labor and each time he handled the situation calmly (without letting on what was happening so I wouldn't panic) and delivered my babies safely. I just can't recommend him enough and feel like this review doesn't really capture how wonderful a doctor he is, how kind and welcoming he and Jase are to their patients, and how lucky I feel to have had him deliver my babies! read more

He's fantastic, as is his wife. Yes the waits can be long, but they care vey much about their patients and I'd rather wait for someone that cares then be herded through my appointment without care. In addition, dr. Brennan was a rock star on the day of my son's delivery. After some issues I needed an emergency c section (not a decision we made lightly, he's not a c section pusher but he's no nonsense when the situation warrants one). My son had the cord wrapped around his beck 3 times! Thank god for Dr. Brennan and his amazing skills. I can't ever thank him enough. I don't know where to begin with this practice... From the moment I spoke with Jaise on the phone I knew we had found our doctor. After being seen by some crooks in Sheepshead Bay and the inefficiency at Advantage Care Physicians we were told we were high risk and we definitely had to get weekly monitoring, tests, etc.. and if our baby wasn't born by 39 weeks they'd cut him out. I cannot accept this as a husband and future father of non white ethnic origins. We simply have different ages of growth in Utero! Jaisse listened and we had an appointment set up at Lenox Hill the next morning before opening hours to settle our hearts. The Lenox Hill doctors knew the radiologist who did our measurement and said "oh yeah, she's a crook..." We went instantly from 2nd % to 22nd %. So... there was NO IUGR, the baby was NOT SGA, and we really had nothing to worry about. While Dr Brennan and Jaise didn't know what I was squawking about so loudly for so very long, during our last measurement they estimated his weight to be 7.5 lbs. When we told Dr Brennan this he asked "Is this what you were talking about?" Relief spread over me as I said yes. He asked if I had the research I could present to him (I had estimated our babies weight at around 21st % during our misdiagnosis by adjusting math for standard deviations and where he actually was on a SE Asian and Italian growth chart)... and then he offered to present this information to the people at Lenox Hill so that more consideration could be given to parental stress level during pregnancy. WOW. What a doctor. Yeah, he didn't understand at first, yes we went in every week, yes it was a stress.... you know who was there ANY time of the day or night for us? Both Jaise and Dr Brennan. I cannot stress enough how important having a baby is. In that same light I cannot stress enough how important it is to have an open minded OB to deal with. The small team he has is amazing and I would thoroughly recommend this man to ANYONE who is having a baby. They are warm, kind, receptive, and open. It also helps he is a very skilled doctor and has a lot of tools in his office which makes travelling easier as he is able to do many procedures right in office. My wife and I... our son... we can't be more appreciative of the chance meeting. People come in and out of our lives for a reason. If you allow them, they will become an integral part of your families life. They will always be above and beyond to us. They will always be a part of this family and I am overwhelmed by their manner and professionalism overall. It is not often you find a doctor that is willing to listen. Most of them have a loop playing in their head. Thanks to this practice for being human, which is a pretty good prerequisite for delivering one.
