I was a patient of Dr. Russo's for over 20 years. He had the best nurse practitioners, but they all left him. The 2 times I saw him, he had absolutely no bedside manner. I recently had a issue with a cancelation of my appointment after waiting for 5 months. When I got upset about them wanting me to wait until August for another appointment, I received a call from the office manager. Although she did try to accommodate me, all she did was belittle me and try to make me feel subhuman. To add insult to injury, today, I received a letter from his office stating that I was "inappropriate" with his office staff. I asked the doctor to call me to discuss his manager's attitude toward me, before he sent the letter. I still have not heard from him. Do not waste your time with this guy. It's not worth your time and aggravation to deal with people who treat you like crap. read more

Dr. Russo was so helpful and not only him but they have a lady by the named Michelle She goes above and beyond she does her work with so much passion like she was the doctor or like they are their family member thatis how she assist the patient . I happen to really like Dr. Donato. Maybe because this isn't my first rodeo, I don't have many questions & he probably knows that so our sessions are extremely quick. No more than 5 minutes. If you ever get that uncomfortable feeling when you go to the doctors office, it sure melts away once Dr. Russo walks into the room. He's always seems excited when greeting his patients and he makes his movements smooth and continues conversation with you in a way that makes you feel comfortable and as relaxed as you can be. The other staff is friendly and patient and the rooms are always clean. You don't have to wait for hours to get called in. The whole process is fast and easy. read more

**PLEASE AVOID HIM AT ALL COST** The Only reason why I give 1 star, is because I couldn't give less. He has no compassion, he does NOT care about his patients. It has taken me 2 yrs to comment on my horrible experience with this Dr. However people should hear about how he practices & this cannot go unsaid. I have to recognize the staff, they have always been great. Dr. Russo delivered my son 17yrs ago and I stood with his practice until 2 yrs ago. He 1st treated me, then Midwife Nancy Dotti who was excellent, Dr. Jullie Messemer equally wonderful, and one other female doctor, who as well as the other 2, are no longer w/ the practice. Leaving Dr. Donato Russo. 2 years ago, I made an appointment with him for my annual exam. He questioned me about my mentral, since he already knew I struggled with long & painful cycles. He suggested I go for a procedure called a cyroablation. In which I first needed a biopsy. He said this would help me. So I trusted his judgment, since nothing I've ever tried has ever helped. I had 2 previous IUD, mirena & para guard, that both turned out to be so painful, I had to remove within a year of having them. I later became pregnant on the nuva-ring. So after my third child, I had no choice other then sealing my tubes in order to not become pregnant by the age of 25. So when Dr. Russo suggested this procedure, I started asking some of my girlfriends who had this procedure done by other Drs, and they said it was the best thing they did, that it didn't hurt. Great. When the day came for this procedure, I was not ready to experience what had occurred. The nurse walking me to the room at his office, turned to me and said, "please know, this is going to hurt." I wasnt expecting that, but I'd rather be warned. As he began the process, he stated I would feel cramping, then began to proceed. Moments later, I not only felt cramping, I felt pain, pain that I almost past out from. The nurse was trying to comfort me, talking me through it. Dr. Russo starts asking me why am I screaming. I was telling him it hurt, he said this isnt supposed to hurt and continued to try to make conversation with me, undermining how badly in pain I was in. I wanted it to stop, I was screaming and crying and he continued with the procedure and yelling at me saying, " there's no need for yelling and crying ". this went on, I felt so hopeless, violated, he didnt take my words that I was in pain seriously, he didnt care it wasnt about me, it was about him and he knew better than me, and I should not be in that much pain, but I was. As I walked out of that office feeling totally violated, feeling as if I was leaving a back alley Dr., I pulled myself into my husband car and I began to breakdown. I was left scared and broken. I couldn't even work for the remainder of that week. I would just begin to breakdown. I started getting panic attacks. I sunk into such a bad depression. It took months of therapy to pull myself together. I NEVER went back. I couldn't even bring myself to leave a negative review until now because these old wounds have been reopened. I eventually found a new Dr. Several months later. Explained what had occurred. One who cared enough to see what is going on. He suggested a hysteroscopy to see what was going on. After 1.5 years of wanting to avoid this because I was left with deep scars, I finally went through with it. Well, I was never a candidate for the cyroablation in the first place nor for the 2 IUD i previously had and were removed due to the pain because of the scar tissue I had from my 1st child, almost 20yrs ago, who was a c-section. How can a Dr. Who's had my file for over 15yrs never are to actually see what's going on and if I'm truly a candidate for a procedure? Ok, let's make this simple. How can a Dr. continue to perform a procedure on a patient who is continually screaming and crying that she is in pain and wants it to stop, then continues to speak over me telling me it doesnt hurt, then proceeds? This is not OK. He should NEVER treat Anyone how he treated me. read more

I love love love Dr. Russo and his entire staff. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Dr. Russo delivered my first kid and he'll be delivering my second in a few weeks. He's knowledgeable, kind and patient. Anytime I ask a question he answers it thoroughly so I understand exactly what to expect. The nurse practitioner is also one of my favorites. I've been coming to Dr. Russo's office since I was fifteen years old. I am now twenty-two and I've never, ever had an issue with this office in all the years I've been coming to it. Unfortunately, I recently had to switch from Dr. Russo's practice to another OBGYN because my insurance is changing on November 1st and Dr. Russo does not accept my new plan. For many years I was seeing the Nurse Practitioner, Nancy Dotty, that is a part of Dr. Russo's practice. Nurse Nancy Dotty is the only individual I've ever trusted with doing my yearly exams, but honestly I feel as if she was the best at what she did even though I didn't allow anyone else to examine me. She always had explanations upon explanations for questions that you asked her and she always keeps you up-to-date with new information she comes across. She's very passionate at what she does and is always trying to help out her patients. For whatever reason she always gave me free samples and coupons of my birth control without me even asking. She's a great person and an excellent Nurse Practitioner. Once I became pregnant Dr. Russo became my primary doctor in the practice. Although I haven't had much experience with Dr. Russo, he is excellent at what he does. Any question you throw at him he has an answer for and he'll always give you the best advice he could. Every time I came for a visit Dr. Russo always checked my baby's heartbeat and made sure everything was going the way it should. I never had a complaint against him during this pregnancy, and if my insurance hadn't changed I would have definitely stayed with him throughout the remainder of my pregnancy. Another positive side to Dr. Russo's practice is his staff. They're very friendly, knowledgeable, and always assist you with whatever you need help with. If you go there on a yearly basis they usually remember you by name as soon as they see your face. They just hand me the paperwork I need to fill out as soon as I walk up to the front desk without even asking my name or anything. One person specifically on the staff that I have had positive experiences with is Anita. She's a great person and she's very helpful. She's great at what she does, and if she was having a bad day you would never know it because she always stays positive and keeps a smile on her face. Sadly, I am leaving Dr. Russo's office. I recently called up Anita to have her transfer all of my exam records, blood results, and ultrasounds to my new OBGYN that I will be having my first appointment with towards the end of November. She was very understanding and told me that by the end of this week all of my records will be sent over to my new OBGYN's office. I've had nothing but positive experiences here and like I said, I wish I could've stayed with them. If you are looking for a trustworthy, honest, friendly, and helpful OBGYN office, go to Dr. Russo.
