I went to Pure OBGYN for pelvic/ovarian pain and possible cyst concerns. The medical care felt thorough and I was able to get imaging done during the visit. However, the billing process was very confusing with multiple unexpected charges that were not clearly explained upfront, and it took a lot of effort to understand what I actually owed after insurance processed everything. I also had a poor experience with the billing department, who came across as rude and dismissive when I called with questions. Overall, good clinical care but poor communication and customer service on the administrative side. read more

The doctor is good, but the office will nickel and dime you. They found some trumped up reason to bill me for in an annual visit. They also do not respond to emails. It took me 4 weeks of emailing and calling them to get them to request a prior authorization for a medication. read more

I was extremely happy with my experience here. I was looking for a new GYN after I decided I wasn't happy with my current one. This practice came recommended to me by a friend, although I was a bit hesitant based on the reviews. I'm glad I went, because it ended up being a positive experience. Dr. Angela Ferin is probably the kindest and most compassionate doctor I have ever seen. Her bedside manner was a 10/10. She took the time to listen to all my questions and was very helpful and offered solutions. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. I am so grateful to have found a doctor that actually cares. The office experience was great, too. The lobby was beautiful, the staff was friendly and greeted me immediately. I was seen right away. The pre-visit paperwork and check-in process were seamless. I was going to complain that they charged us a $20 copay for what's supposed to be a free well-woman visit, but it turns out I was wrong. We were billed $668 for a few ultrasounds with no warning that they would charge us at all. I'm tired of medical practices making a living off of tricking their patients by sneakily introducing extra procedures and not disclosing their costs. Hopefully we won't be returning. read more

Great: identified a suspiciously thick endometrial lining, set up a biopsy for 3 days later, and were broke the news to me in a professional, kind manner ( no cancer, btw!!). Horrible: My daughter had an IUD inserted. They were told they would only "feel a pinch and some cramping." They were not offered anesthesia. I wish I hadn't believed them. They fainted in the street as we were walking home. My advice: though they are now offering general anesthesia do not go there for an IUD. Ever. read more

DO NOT GO I visited PureOBGYN once in September 2024 for prolonged bleeding. After quickly telling me there was no issue, the doctor encouraged me to get my annual exam and other tests done, saying, "You're already here, and it's covered by insurance." I agreed, trusting it was routine preventive care. Almost a year later, I received a surprise bill for over $400 for services I was never clearly told would be billed separately or applied to my deductible. I had already paid them twice last year, and the billing department was robotic and unhelpful- it is predatory that I received no prior notice before the charge appeared 11 months later. Be cautious and ask for cost details before agreeing to anything, even if the doctor makes it sound fully covered. I would not return or recommend PureOBGYN to anyone. read more

I want to start off by saying the doctors I've seen at Pure are incredible and I've highly recommended them. However, I cannot condone the asinine and frankly idiotic behavior of their office staff. I am having an egg freezing and retrieval done and they have re-directed me to different departments, given me incorrect information, and basically had me go down a rabbit hole to get simple medical records. After leaving a bad Google review, I received a phone call informing I never had a pap smear done at Pure OBGYN and to contact my previous provider. I am still on the way to find these records which could easily be sent over to a doctor's office. It's fine if that is true but this has been a back and forth of about 5+ months now. Absolutely ridiculous - do not go here. read more

I was a patient at Pure for several years. I spent more than one appointment complaining of the same unbearable symptoms. I was very clear about my pain and how debilitating it had become. They did an ultrasound and clearly noted an endometrioma. Did anyone think to refer me to a specialist or even MENTION endometriosis? Nope. I was told to come back in a couple of weeks if it was still bothering me. I was given prescription strength ibuprofen LOL. I'd finally had it. I found a specialist and was diagnosed via IMAGING (because it had gotten that bad) with deep infiltrating endo. I had surgery in November and I'm finally pain free. Confirmed stage IV endometriosis. I was clearly told by my surgeon that I could have gone into kidney failure. That's how bad it was. Oh and that cyst they weren't worried about? Ha! It killed my ovary and I lost it. Advocate for yourselves because no one at Pure will do that for you. Update: your response is comical at best. If only your clinic had taken this much interest and empathy in my care BEFOREhand. Do better. Listen to your patients when they tell you they're in pain. Do your due diligence as a medical practice so you don't have to work so hard at damage control. read more

I've been coming here through my entire pregnancy and it has been a great experience. The receptionists are all very sweet and accommodating. There's always a stacked fridge of beverages and it's a nice comfortable waiting room. I've seen a handful of delivering OBs and ultrasound techs here and everyone is kind and patient. I went here for a visit recently and had booked an appointment through ZocDoc with a female OBGYN. I was instead seen by a male doctor who I had not booked the appointment with. No one warned me, asked if I was ok with this change. or even explained that there would be a change or why. I didn't realize I was seeing a different doc until he walked in the room. I found this to be very unprofessional. Also the doctor I saw was dismissive, said what my issue was was not a gynecological issue even though I was referred to a gyno by my GP and offered no assistance in helping redirect me to another physician. Just told me to "find a general surgeon." I've had great experiences at PURE before so was shocked to be treated this way. read more

It's absolutely impossible to get in touch with a doctor once you leave the office. Nobody answers the text system or the patient portal. The front desk takes messages and there's never follow up. Also, the doctor I met with called in the wrong prescription twice--I had to call back multiple times to let him know the medication he prescribed didn't treat the issue my culture identified, and even then he just called in what I told him to instead of looking at my chart. So frustrating - and made me scared to trust them as my OB. UPDATE: emailed the contact offered below and ... no response. lol. read more

This is my second time here and I'll definitely be back for my annuals. I've been to other OBGYN where I'm there for the whole day. I spend maybe 30 minutes from checking in vitals and being seen by the doctor. I mentioned some pain and I was able to have the sonographer check my uterus for anything uncommon.
