I can't say enough about Dr. Laine! I was looking for someone to help me through the pains of pregnancy but also some neck issues I've had for over a year. Dr. Laine is compassionate, understanding and a miracle worker! My neck hasn't felt this good in a year!! I'm so thankful to her and would recommend her to anyone! read more

Pure Light is my new best recommendation to anyone who is pregnant!! Maninder worked wonders on my prenatal hip (pubic symphesis) pain, taking me from limited mobility mid-pregnancy, to feeling great and nimble in my body by 9 months - not the typical trajectory, and I credit it completely to Pure Light. BEFORE: I had never seen a chiropractor before, but my OB recommended it during my second pregnancy, for my worsening pubic symphesis pain (common pregnancy ailment where front middle of hip bone hurts). I had to quit doing prenatal yoga, and I was limiting even how much I walked. DURING: At first I was hesitant to see a man for prenatal care, but Maninder was amazing, made me 100% comfortable, explained everything about chiropractic care to me at my first appointment, and ended up being who I saw for almost all visits. At every appointment, he "adjusted" me, which felt like gentle pushes, tugs, and pressure, as well as some that felt relaxing like massage. From the first time, it made my body feel more relaxed, and I could tell it was slightly affecting my posture; after a few appointments, each adjustment made my body feel relaxed and aligned as though I'd just had a long massage - but it only took 10-15 minutes! Over time, after a few weeks, my body caught on and stayed in better alignment, so I began to feel good all the time, not just after appointments. AFTER: It was like magic, after a few weeks, my pain was so reduced that I was back to long walks and normal movement. The last few months of my pregnancy were totally turned around, as this allowed me to stay really active and feel better emotionally as well as physically. I love Pure Light, and highly recommend Maninder and Laine! read more

Dr. Laine is wonderful! Chiropractic adjustments became a big part of my health regimen after developing autonomic/nervous/musculoskeletal issues. I truly wouldn't have trusted anyone else to treat me as many therapies (massage, PT, etc) could easily throw me into a flare up. However, Dr. Laine's gentle, intuitive and receptive approach really helped me through a tough time. She also acted as a sounding board for me when looking into potential causes of my pain and helped guide me to other professionals that also contributed positively in my health recovery journey. I am forever grateful to her and would 1000% recommend her to anyone interested in chiropractic care. read more

I'm a hairdresser and have had chronic pain in my lower back and hip for a few years now. I was always kind of wary of chiropractors because I felt like my back was beyond repair and my only option was surgery. After my first adjustment I noticed a huge difference in my back and hip and have been back several times and will continue to do so. It's really improving my quality of life in so many areas including allergy headaches and stress relief. Amazing! read more

I've had years of back/body pain, migraines, etc. and I've seen many doctors and even other chiropractors. All I have to say is...Laine is amazing! I've been coming to her for a year and a half and I've never felt better. She is a talented and innovative chiropractor who cares deeply for her patients. Go regularly and see how much it affects your overall wellness. My whole body wellness has improved drastically in the time I've been seeing her. You will see the difference too. The office is so convenient and she is always flexible with her patients. I've found my chiropractor for life! Thank you Laine! read more

Ahhhh I walk in to Dr. Laine's office and immediately feel relaxed. Dr. Laine specializes in holistic therapy, so not only focusing on your spine but on your overall health and well-being. Pure light does not accept insurance, but the prices are reasonable. Insurance usually puts limits on your treatments, so the fact that she does not accept insurance is actually better, as she focuses more on YOU and not what the insurer is telling her. The hours on yelp are actually incorrect. She has new hours--Monday-Friday 10-1;3-7 and Tuesday/Thursday 2-6 and Friday 9:30-1:30. Dr. Laine is patient and really takes her time to get to know you and your body. She understands your stress levels and what your stressors are and how they relate to your pain. Pure Light is off South First and South Park behind Viv Nails and a coffee shop. The parking is limited, but you can park on the street and behind the building. Once you park, go in the middle of the building and it's the first door on the right on the first floor. Hope this helps a little! I highly recommend Pure Light for short term treatment, long term treatment, just an adjustment, or anything in between. Dr. Laine is willing to help even the most helpless of backs! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Laine for over a year now and have definitely seen an improvement in my health. I feel like she's concerned about my overall well-being and interested in providing effective strategies to improve my problems. Nina, her assistant, is also a positive and lovely woman! read more

I started seeing Dr. Laine a couple of months ago during my third trimester of pregnancy. I was having pretty severe right rib pain and the baby was transverse, so I wanted help getting her rotated into the right position. With twice weekly visits (mostly Dr. Laine but have also seen Dr. Sarah a couple of times- both great), both issues have resolved! They have a gentle style and I feel better and more balanced every time I visit. Definitely recommend and will continue going postpartum for tune-ups! read more

Laine really knows her stuff! I'm pregnant and she developed a plan specifically for my pregnancy. She was familiar with the pelvic issues I'd been having, and continued to research throughout my treatment to try to come up with more exercises to soothe me. She's helped me with rib problems, hip problems, carpal tunnel--you name it. Nina is great, their office is cozy and accommodating, and they're always understanding of my hectic schedule. The service, professionalism and facilities couldn't be better. read more

Dr. Maninder and Dr. Laine are so wonderful. Dr. Maninder was the first chiropractor that I saw at Pure Light - he was immediately likable and I loved how he talked about chiro care in its most holistic, whole-body approach. You can tell that he really loves helping people and loves what he does. He is a wonderful chiropractor and I always feel that he's paying attention to my body, targeting my specific issues. Today, he saw my 2-week old newborn who was having serious digestive issues - non-stop crying for most of her awake time...it was rough. After getting adjusted by Dr. Maninder today, my baby is a whole different baby. I feel so grateful to have a chiropractor that I trust with her care. Same with Dr. Laine. She adjusted me two days before I went into labor, a wonderfully smooth 11 hour labor at home. I'm convinced that the ease of my labor was in part due to the chiro care I received during my pregnancy. So grateful to Pure Light. Dr. Maninder and Dr. Laine are wonderful. read more

Laura Morrison I thought pain and discomfort came with age and I had to endure them. However, in just a few chiropractic sessions with Laine, (but improving as time passed, getting even better after three months) the pain in my neck and back totally disappeared! Also, Laine does quite a bit of "bedside education", so I made a few healthy touches in my lifestyle with great results. I am planning on getting adjustments with Laine for life! Her care and commitment to her patients is amazing, and the atmosphere of her office is great. I step in and I am already relaxing! By the time I leave her office, I feel as if I took a long restful nap. I totally recommend Pure Light Chiropractic. read more

I started going to Dr. Laine after being introduced to her while we both were training for a marathon with the FX Austin run club. One of my former students is now a chiropractor and insisted over the years that I see one for wellness. Dr. Laine has improved my life a great deal! I am aware of my posture, the position I sleep and how I treat my body overall. When you tell people you are going to the chiropractor to make sure everything is aligned and your body is relating to itself the way it should, they look at you strangely, but I quickly explain to them what Dr. Laine has said to and taught me over the past year and a half. The body needs to communicate with itself to the highest degree. I can tell a dramatic change in my body. I sleep better. I am more conscious and in tuned with myself whether I am putting in work at the gym or sitting at my desk at work. I am so thankful for Dr. Laine and equally thankful for the wonderful conversations about movies, health and life in general with her wonderful assistant, Nina. I am glad to be a part of the Pure Light family and have already recommended others who are immensely satisfied with the magnificent care Dr. Laine provides. Even in her absence on maternity leave of late, she has left us in the hands of another gifted chiropractor, Dr. Paula, who is as skilled and wonderful as she is. I wholeheartedly recommend seeing Dr. Laine. She will change your life! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Laine since I was about 12 weeks pregnant and I believe it has saved me so much unnecessary pain! Pure Light has truly been a blessing! read more

Dr. Laine has been a great help to me. I started seeing her for chronic hamstring problems. I play a lot of sports and I keep pulling the muscles and have to sit on the sidelines while they heal. She has kept me on the field playing all year...no pulls so far. Also, while seeing her, I mentioned I was having an unusual amount of headaches. After asking me a ton of questions she thought I may have been short on magnesium. I started taking magnesium on her suggestion and the headaches are gone. She's good. I recommend her to anyone in pain looking to avoid pills and surgery. read more

I was a tiny bit skeptical when I first came to see Dr. Laine. I'd been to another local Chiro, and while I liked him I didn't feel like the time and investment in chiropractic treatment was all that worth it. Boy, has my opinion changed. Dr. Laine is an incredible whole-body and whole-person caregiver. Her approach to chiropractic care is unlike any I've come across---she treats you from from head to toe, skin to bones and sees the spine as the conduit for whole body health. She's helped me overcome troubles with IBS, TMJ and a host of other acronym-ized ailments. Who knew that getting regular adjustments could be so beneficial to your overall health? Not me until I met Dr. Laine. I'm looking forward to having her as a care-giver for many years to come. read more

I wish I could see Laine every week for the rest of my life. Not only is she an amazing chiropractor who really understands my body but also she has amazing energy and presence that she always manages to pass along to me through her adjustments. She really wants to understand me as a person just not a patient. I recommend Laine to all my friends/co-workers/acquaintances. I also think she is great for people who are going in for their first adjustment. She is really gentle and never goes beyond your own comfort level. Also, I can't wait to have some babies so she can adjust them!!! read more

I had injured my lower back, and was in constant pain for a year straight. Finally, when the pain migrated down my right leg, it got to be more than I could stand. A co-worker had been seeing Dr. Laine for a year, and swore up and down that she would be able to help me. My mother, a nurse, told me that chiropractors were all just a bunch of snake oil salesman, and to save my money. Against my better judgement, I went to see her and I am so, so glad that I did. Dr. Laine knew exactly what was wrong with me, and after walking out of her office I was pain free for the first time in a year. I began to see her regularly over the course of three months - as I write this review now, I am in no pain and my back has never felt better. I'm a believer. read more

Dr Laine has created an office with a boutique feel in the heart of Austin. As I started to increase my running and particularly since I started weight lifting again, my wellness visits have kept me moving and pain-free. Since starting treatment with Laine I have been able to lose and maintain over 20 lbs, greatly due to the fact she helps me work through the bumps and scrapes of getting back into fitness. I give Dr Laine my highest recommendation! read more

Dr. Laine is incredibly kind, patient and competent. She is good at targeting specific problem areas and both gently and powerfully releasing them. read more

Really enjoyed connecting with Laine at Pure Light Chiropractic! I'll definitely be back.

I arrived in Austin to work SXSW and could hardly move because of neck spasms. A local friend recommended Pure Light and after the first treatment I was exponentially better, almost eliminating the spasms completely and improving my range of motion dramatically. I went a total of four times during my trip and each time felt better. I couldn't be happier with the service, the price, the professionalism and the results. I'll be stopping by each time I'm in town. Thank you for saving my trip. read more

I had avoided chiropractors for years because I did not feel that forcing the body into place worked for me. Laine however, is a different kind of chiropractor. She is intuitive, caring and works with the body rather than against it. Am very happy I found her and I have already brought my daughter to her and my husband is next:) The prices are reasonable, the practice is soothing and friendly. Nina at the front desk is super helpful. It has been a great experience! read more

Hurt my lower lumbar area over the weekend, called Monday, lucky to get in. Arrived at 12:30, danced out 15 minutes later...Wow!

Dr. Laine sees our whole family. She is amazing and has helped us with many issues from TMJ to alignment and general well-being. She has also seen many of my pregnancy clients and newborns. Everybody loves her! I would (& do) highly recommend her! read more

Laine and her team are phenomenal! Laine's deep knowledge about prenatal and postpartum care is invaluable, and so, so helpful for mamas.

What can I say...Laine does a great job of addressing your needs. She's a great listener, gives helpful suggestions without being pushy, then gets right to addressing your pain, and explains what she is doing along the way. In a short amount of time, I began to feel better. And as the weeks went on- even the pain went away. Great staff, convenient location, and always great communication. I recommend Pure Light to anyone in need of a chiropractor that knows what they are doing, and looks out for their patients. read more

My son and I have been going to Dr. Laine now for 2 1/2 years and I have loved every minute of it. She is remarkable at what she does. Prior to seeing her, I was wary of chiropractors as I had some bad experiences in the past. She put my mind at ease upon walking in. You can feel the good energy that she emits. My son, who is now 7, has been getting adjusted since he was 4. As a result, he is never ill, recovers from injuries quickly and is over-all a happy and adjusted child! Laine has helped me with everything from a pinched nerve, sprained ankle, allergies, stress, runner's knees etc. She is my go to for everything! I have already referred several friends to her and they've all seen tremendous results. I appreciate her natural, holistic way of treating her patients. Not to mention, she has the most fabulous office administrator ever, Nina! They both make your visit truly welcoming and treat you like family. I know they feel like mine! read more

Like many, I sit at a computer all day and have developed chronic neck and back pain. Every time I walk out of Pure Light, I feel much needed relief from these symptoms and happy in general since everyone in the office is very friendly. Most of my care has been with Dr. Paula, and I really appreciate the fact that she takes time to explain the adjustments she is performing and is not forceful in her approach; she is gentle, yet effective. Overall I am happy to have finally found my go-to place for chiropractic care. read more

Having been to a number of chiropractors over the last 10 years, I can say with confidence that Dr. Laine is the real deal. After an accident left me with chronic low back pain, many chiropractors would adjust me and provide temporary relief. Dr. Laine combines adjustment with whole health practices that have led to decreased pain for the first time! I highly recommend Pure Light Chiropractic. read more

Let me start by saying that my first visit to a chiropractor left much to be desired. I went to a different chiropractor closer to where I currently live. I was disappointed. I felt like nothing was really done. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I decided to try Pure Light Chiropractic. I have never been so pleased visiting a doctor! When I walked in, Nina the receptionist was so welcoming! I came in with my husband and my son. My son was a little terror when we first walked in and his bottle of milk practically exploded all over us and the floor- and there was zero judgement! We cleaned up the mess and Nina gave my son some legos to play with and he eventually adjusted to the environment. When it was time for me to go in, I saw Dr. Paula. She was wonderful. She really took the time to sit down with me and explain to me what she was about to do so she could soothe my nerves. When she examined me to see what was wrong, she took her time and found EVERYTHING wrong with me! She hit the exact spots where I was hurting and told me what was wrong. Then when it came time for the adjustment, she made sure I was comfortable with every position she had me in. The adjustment made me feel a MILLION times better! I wasn't expecting this because the chiropractor I went to before made me feel worse when they were finished. This was such a treat for me! She gave me a few tips for how I can help support good posture at home. I will recommend Pure Light Chiropractic to ANYONE I know that needs a good chiropractor. They are worth their weight in gold! read more

Dr Laine is amazing! When I was 30 weeks pregnant I started to have constant, unbearable back pain. I tried massage and prenatal yoga to alleviate the pain, but it wasn't until I added chiropractic to the mix that I experienced relief. Dr. Laine came highly recommended by several women in my yoga class who were also experiencing discomfort and had received relief by coming to see her. She practices the Webster technique which in my research is optimum for pregnant women. The office is very clean and the staff (particularly Nina) are all very friendly, professional and welcoming. Dr. Laine is also so sweet and really takes the time to explain what she's doing, give you stretches to do at home to keep you aligned in between sessions, and is just overall a lovely person. I was a little nervous going in, but her knowledge and bedside manner put me at ease and I felt very confident that I was in good hands. My only regret is that I didn't come to see her sooner. Every pregnant woman should know that she doesn't have to be in pain and that there is relief! read more
