If I had to describe Pure Indulgence in one word, it would be "AWESOME". My husband and I were on vacation and decided to have joint massages. The services were fantastic, professional, and very, very relaxing. Silke and Angela are the "best". I have had massages in the past but this was my husband's first time. He originally only wanted 60 minutes, but I opted for the 90-minute Therapeutic massage. After the 60-minutes were up, he enjoyed it so much that he opted to extend the massage to the 90-minutes too. Initially I wanted to make sure that we could arrange massages prior to our visit. I completed the online "contact us" screen and also sent an email which were unanswered. I then called and was able to find out that you need to make appointment at least 1 week in advance Best way to make appointments is by calling. Nice day spa. Aesthetically pleasing. We went early on a Saturday. They didn't have enough techs to do any additional things for us but let us bask in the salt lounge. I was also allowed to use the vibration machine. We were served wine. It was very relaxing. All staff was wonderful. I had an hour massage. And my sinuses are awful so the therapist had me lay sideways to help me be more comfortable. He was great. Highly recommend. read more

When I showed for my appointment, I was informed that they were unable to provide the service due to xyz.... and a half hearted apology is all I received. No adjustment for my inconvenience. I choose to not patronize any business that isn't willing to make any concession when they violate (in reverse) the very intent of their own policies. "Do as I say, not as I do" Businesses should be willing to also feel the pain when they fail to meet the requirements they impose on the customer. They may (or may not) provide a great service but I won't ever know because I won't be back. read more

We had my daughter's bachelorette party at the spa. I can't say enough about how the team at Pure Indulgence made the day special. Every person who was there felt pampered and told me that they not only had a good time but the services were exceptional, and would definitely return the next time they are in the area. Probably the worst experience at a day spa I've ever had. Booked an appt for a mani and pedi and mentioned in the comments that I get gel polish. When I arrived, I was led to the nail area. The chairs were welcoming but there was so much dust on the floor, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were also dead bugs littered on the floor. I sat in the chair and had hand sanitizer rubbed on my feet. There were no bowls for soaking .The nail lady, who was very sweet, went to remove the polish .She couldn't remove it and I informed her it was gel. She huffed and then had to go speak to a manager or someone else. She returned with bowls of acetone and told me to soak my feet and hands in it. I've never had to expose my skin to that before. Usually they remove it without damaging my skin. After about 20 min, she then scraped off my polish. She filed my nails, but didn't remove any cuticles or do anything else to my hand. I did receive a nice foot massage however. She scraped the dead skin off my feet, but they weren't moistened (remember, no soak) so it was a little uncomfortable. The entire time, I also heard how I'm inconveniencing them because it took so long for the gel polish removal. This is a nail salon, and I did mention that I get gel polish. Eventually, I got polish on my toes. No basecoat and everything seemed rushed .Worse polish job ever .I think more ended up on my skin than my nails and it's day 2 and already chipping . My fingers were done by the lady who was also doing someone's highlights .she stopped her color so she could go my gel nails. They were so rushed and sloppy. It's day 2 and the GEL is already peeling off! My last gel job lasted 3 weeks. The worse part is that when I went to check out, the front desk lady had no idea what services I had had, as she said I wasn't on the schedule (even though I booked my appt 3 days in advance). Luckily I had a gift card. I went to pay with it and she had no clue how to process it .She eventually figured it out and told me my total was $65 for the Mani/pedi. I gave her the gc and she told me I had $35 left. I tipped and went on my way. Within 30 min after leaving, I got a call from the salon informing me that they were charging me and additional $20 for the services I received and deducting it from my gift card, leaving me $15 .Such poor customer service! So here I am, the day after receiving my services (which were no where near worth $85) with chipping GEL nails and a poor toenail job .They can keep the $15 left on my GC because I will never go back to this place. I now need to go pay more money to get my nails fixed somewhere else. I will also be sure to inform my friends to make sure to not visit this salon. Just had a shellac manicure from the Pure Indulgence Organic Day Spa. Wonderful place that was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Great prices, too! $25 for a regular manicure, an extra $5 for the shellac process. The shellac is awesome and won't chip for two weeks!! My only complaint was that they didn't have too many colors within their shellac line nor their gel line. However, that may not be entirely their fault as the companies that make the polishes' line may still be small. Will definitely be back soon ...well, not too soon! Maybe in two weeks when these babies start to show some wear. read more

I was having extreme hip and rib pain. Roxane suggested cupping. After an hour session, my hip pain is practically gone and my ribs feel much better. I am confident that one more session will majorly improve that issue. This is a therapy that I plan to keep up with maintenance sessions. This place was amazing!!! I had never gotten a massage before and my boyfriend got me a gift certificate for my birthday and it was the best experience I could have asked for. I got a hot stone massage, mud wrap, Vichy shower and a scalp massage from Bri and she was simply excellent. From making sure I was comfortable, to the temperature of the stones, she explained everything to me while working and was very knowledgeable when answering all of my questions. I would definately ask for an appointment with her if she's available. I used to see a chiropractor for my shoulder problems but even then I would have some residual tenderness and soreness. Bri worked out knots I didn't even know existed, knew instantly where I hold all my stress and for the first time in months, my achy painy body demons have been released from my body. The professionalism, the cleanliness, the aura of the whole location is perfect for a day of relaxing! Unprofessional My girlfriend finished her first IronMan, I just met her mother who is visiting from Belize and it's my birthday. Working with the Pure Indulgence staff we set up a day for the 3 of us to get 60 min massages then facials and concluding with a mani/pedi experience for 3 so that we could socialize. They said it would take some planning but they could make it work. Two days before our appointment I called to ensure there was no confusion about my expectations; 3 massages, 3facials followed by 3 mani/pedis while we chatted amongst ourselves. Spa day for 3 - EPIC FAILURE. The massage, facial, mani, pedi for 3 began with the girls getting pedicures while I awkwardly sat alone in the waiting room. After retrieving a book from my car they finally offered to let me sit outside the doorway to the room where the girls were getting their pedicures. Seriously? Talk about being treated like an afterthought. It felt like I was a sitting in a hallway eaves dropping on my girlfriend and her mother. This entire time the Pure Indulgence staff ignored the obvious. They were only taking care of 66% of the customers, imaging that for your bridal party. No one asked me questions or explained why they didn't deliver what they said they could. I wasn't treated remotely like a paying customer. This is my worst customer service experience. They made me so uncomfortable I had to leave and just let the girls have a mother daughter day. If Pure Indulgence was honest we likely could have come up with an acceptable compromise or better yet found a spa capable of meeting out basic expectations. I drove from VA just have an amazing day with my girl who texted me "This sucks. I don't want to spend the day without you" while I was bored killing time in Morehead City. My husband sent me here for my birthday and bought me a massage and a pedicure and it was amazing. The massage was with Rhonda and the pedicure was with Clarice, both women were wonderful and entertaining and it was a truly relaxing atmosphere. I was suppose to write a review on this wonderful place called Pure Indulgence. I took my wife there for Valentine's Day which fell on Sunday this year. They was the only massage place that was open for Valentine's day and I'm glad they was. Our massage began the moment we walked in the door. The aroma and General feeling of the place was relaxing. They took us to the back where we undressed and laid on the tables. The women that massaged me was just amazing. I had surgery on my ankle 2 month's prior but when the massage was done, it felt like I could run a mile or 2. I highly recommend this place. read more

Decided to write a review after our third experience at Pure Indulgence. First trip there for couples massage was fine. We arrived early and filled out necessary paperwork. Massage therapists were great. Second visit...arrived early for couples massage. No paperwork to fill out, but had to wait 15 minutes past our appointment time. No explanation given. Massage was ok. Not bad, not great either. Third (and probably last) visit....arrived 15 minutes early for our 4:00 couples massage. Was told to have a seat and we would be helped shortly. The receptionist then left the desk and disappeared. Waited....and waited...and waited. My husband was getting furious, and ready to leave. Finally, at 4:19, someone came up to the desk and asked "are you here for a couples massage?" I replied yes, and asked if there was anyone booked after our appointment. Their response was no, and I guess they got the message that we were not going to be cut short on our hour-long massage because they were late. No apology or explanation for the delay. Husband and I were so disgusted that the massage was not relaxing or enjoyable at all. Waste of money. What's the point of having a scheduled appointment if you're not going to stick to them. Great staff and great service. Have a pick two membership plan that really makes the experience relaxing. I typically get my eyebrows threaded, a facial and a massage. The times I get mani/pedis as a part of my pic two membership-they are great. I don't end up with hang nails and feel confident all tools are sanitary.
