My first experience here I got a great acai bowl with a nice design of fruit, granola, and honey. The taste was not up to par with other acai bowls I have had in CA and Boston, but it still tasted good. I went back last week expecting the same quality and was very disappointed. I ordered the same acai bowl and was given a bowl that was half the size as the first (but still cost me 9 dollars). I stood up for myself mentioning this to the cashier and he blamed the size on his younger brother making it and to make up for it he just threw a bunch of granola and blueberries on top (it was still at least an inch from the top of the bowl). In addition, the acai was complete soup and he told me to freeze it at my home. Not cool when I am paying 9 dollars for an acai bowl. They need to maintain their quality of product. It could have been an off day, but I still feel like they should have remade my bowl. If I go again I am going to voice my concern more outright so I do not get ripped off. read more

I did not have a good experience my first time at cold press. I specifically told the guy who took my Acai bowl order that I could not have nuts and soy so I asked for regular milk. I got my order and it was covered with granola that clearly had nuts in it. Not only that, but there were apples on top. I ordered this right off the menu and no where did it say it had apples. It said topped with berries and bananas. Neither of those were on top. The problem here is that I'm also allergic to apples. Yes, a weird allergy, I know, but I ordered what I saw on the menu because I knew after taking the nuts off and using regular milk I'd be fine. Thankfully I took the time to inspect my dish before eating the nuts. They weren't busy at this time. He was only working on mine and my fiance's order so It's ridiculous that he forgot I told him I had allergies. This is not ok. Allergies are a serious thing. They made a new one and still didn't put the right toppings. I got this fruit that tasted really weird with the honey. Not a good experience with this place or with my first Acai bowl. I'm sure I'll try this place again one day, hopefully they don't screw up. read more

Pure Cold Press - They forgot I ordered it without nuts and apples which I'm allergic to. So they had to remake one. The fruit didn't go well with the honey. - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Brookline, Massachusetts

Great cozy spot in Brookline. Great food, and plenty of options if you're vegan or have any dietary restrictions Soups change each day, but I got the split pea soup and it was delicious Workers are also very hospitable and willing to accommodate to your preferences. Strongly recommend. read more

This place had the right idea when they first opened... Great great salads made in house. A bit pricey but worth it for the yum factor. There were definitely kinks to work out but the food was good so I went back. However I have been consistently disappointed with the lack of progress. In fact, I don't enjoy going anymore. The menu has changed (not as good in my opinion)- but my biggest issue is the customer service and ownership. The owner isn't accountable for any problems with service. The wait times are inexcusable; I've had errors made with my order (and friends' orders) and instead of getting an "I'm sorry" from the owner, he raises his voice to blame staff and speaks down to customers. Unfortunately I probably won't be going back. read more

Cold Press is just what this area needed. I live in Allston and have been looking for a really healthy restaurant locally. The location has an awesome design, lots of open space and natural light and beautiful wood walls. I had the potato salad, asparagus, and quinoa salads and they were so crisp and refreshing! The potatoes were to die for and the asparagus was very well seasoned. I also picked up one of their juices, the Beet It! juice. It was on the expensive side, but I have never had anything like it. It was delicious! Their employees are friendly and very knowledgable. I will definitely be back and support this local business! read more

What a selection of delicious salads, sandwiches and juices. Everything is made to order. I had the MEDITERRANEAN salad yesterday, along with beet juice. Healthy and tasty read more

I love the idea of having a healthful salad/wrap place in Coolidge Corner. These folks are doing a good job- but a) service can be slow and a little chaotic; they need to keep working on this, and b) the food's slightly unreliable. Examples: the black bean wrap used to be delicious...the one I got recently was lacking in the right balance of flavors and was so dull I brought it home to add salsa- it needed SOMETHING. Then I got an Asian tofu wrap that again was dull...I brought it home and added peanut butter. I think they need some quality control with the way flavorings are balanced in the food they prep. But if they were to correct all of this, they'd get 5 stars from me...I want them to succeed! read more

Average cold pressed fruit dessert, when asked about the ingredients, was rude and obnoxious (tall, dark haired, skinny guy, the manager). The price was way over the board for a watery Acai dessert ($9.00). You can easily mix couple spoons of frozen fruits in a mixer and garnish it with nuts. Do not waist your money and time on such a rip off. There are plenty of tasty, healthy choices for lunch and snacks in Brookline. read more

Very yummy and healthy food, my go to place for juices, smoothies, salads and acai bowls!

I walked in to this place looking for a healthy juice after a particularly tough workout at Healthworks across the street. I figured it would probably be expensive, but I was really craving a cold juice. I didn't have the same experience as other reviews re: poor service, as I was provided an explanation about the juices. I was also impressed with their stats (4 1/2 lb of produce in one juice). This is where they earned the two stars. However, I was disappointed to see that a place that calls itself a juice bar sells 5 types of juice in pre-made bottles. I was expecting the juice to be made to order, allowing for additions or substitutions as requested. This aside, I finally made a decision and went to the register to pay. There were no prices listed anywhere, so when the the cashier rings me up for $10 and change, I apologized and walked out empty handed. $7 or $8 would have been expensive, but over $10 for a pre-made juice is laughable. I hate to leave a "meh" review without trying their product, but they didn't even have any samples or anything - maybe trying this apparently amazing juice would have convinced me to purchase. read more

I was really excited about trying this place. There aren't a lot of juice places in Boston, which I've been missing after moving here from Southern California. Tried to go on a warm, sunny Friday afternoon at 3:50 and the door was locked/it was closed. Funny enough the hours on the door/website said it closed at 4, so I guess that means before 4?! Won't be wasting my time again read more

My bff Roy and I came to cold press to see what the hype was about. We got a salad plate to share and it was excellent! The quinoa salad was to perfection. Will definitely be coming back soon! read more

A but on the pricy side, but justifiably so. The Namaste juice in particular is out of this world, and salads are fantastic even compared with sweetgreen - they have more options of stuff to put in. read more

I can't speak to the food or the drink, only to the rudeness of the owner. After eating next door at Rami's, the father's restaurant, our party of three came here for coffee. When I asked if they could make a caffe mocha, I was dismissively told that I could go down the street to Starbucks. Of course, they're free to sell or not sell what they choose. But I did not feel encouraged to come back for a meal or dessert read more

Fresh. Tasty. Good clean simple food. A breath of freshness for Harvard Street. When I eat there I feel like I'm eating close to the earth and that my being is fully nourished. Love the miso soup and the potato with caramelized onion! read more

Great salads, really good home made drinks and smoothies, and tasty sandwiches to boot! Has a cool atmosphere and the people are really nice as well. read more

The food was great, and the the staff was welcoming and incredibly helpful. Really great folks who run this place!

Cold Press has great food and a great vibe. We love swinging by for lunch, or meeting our friends for dinner. It brings a touch of the West Coast to the Boston scene! read more

The idea is good, the execution is not.. Completely scattered, hectic, employees yelling at each other, out of a bunch of ingredients, took forever, wayyyy overpriced. Reminded me of a salad bar at my college. I asked for salt and pepper and they literally gave me an industrial sized pepper shaker and a cup of salt.. No salt and pepper shakers?? Awkward.. Ill stick with Sweet Green. read more

Love this place!!!! The food is great, service is good, and it has an overall great vibe and concept. They have a great menu with a variety of healthy sandwiches, salads, and smoothies, but you also have the option to customize your order. I'm a huge fan of the Acai bowl, which comes with granola, fruits, coconut and other great toppings (which many places dont give you). If you're on the run, they have fresh pre-made cold pressed juices that are delicious, but the service is pretty fast regardless even if you go for a customized smoothie. Nice place to hang out too. I was there this past Sunday and saw friends/families enjoying the afternoon chatting over some delicious looking salads. read more

The food is consistently delicious! Healthy and hearty. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and well-fed. A very relaxing vibe makes it a perfect spot to hang out with friends, or to go alone and enjoy a nice meal and smoothie. read more

Omygod!!! So happy this place opened in Coolidge corner! It's just what we needed. Salads, soups, cold press juices! Doesn't get better than this. I recommend the braised cabbage and apple salad! Will def, be coming back! read more

Three generations of our family went out for lunch. We all loved Pure Cold Press. We all ordered Cold Press Salads. The portion selections were creative, delicious, and very satisfying. The decor was wonderful and the background music was atmospheric. I felt like I was at a cool restaurant in California. The bathrooms were clean, and the servers were professional. I could eat lunch at Pure Cold Press several times a week and not get bored with the salad selections. We didn't order juice, but were given samples. I tried carrot juice and loved it. I would like to try a berry smoothie next time. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

I want to like this place but service is beyond sub-par. Other reviewers have called out the tall guy who I also think is the owner. I've been there twice and both times he is more concerned with chatting up friends than servicing his very patient paying customers. Even when he apologizes for the wait and tries to act like he cares asking you about your day, before you can respond he is back to chatting with friends. And tossing a credit card back at a customer rather than handing it to them it just plain rude. I'll make my own salads and juice. Not worth the time and aggravation or the price. read more

Since discovering it last month, I've frequented this place for lunch once or twice a week. Everything is very fresh. The acai bowl is super refreshing on a hot summer day. The staff is very nice, and the owner, Chaim, is particularly friendly and accommodating. If you're vegan or vegetarian or just want a good healthy meal, this is your go-to place. read more

Disappointed after two visits. Too much inconsistency, bland food, and they were out of a lot of ingredients for juices. When you ask about the nutritional benefits of the juices, no one knew, and they claim they are local, but no one could tell me where their stuff came from. I ordered a smoothie. I saw two people making them. The girl gave out what seemed to be good looking smoothies. Some older guy made mine...I got the superhero. I never knew a smoothie could be chunky icy and soupy all at the same time with large kale bits floating in it. Gross. Nothing from the salad bar wows me, I can make all of it at home. For $15 I can buy a gourmet lunch, instead I ate a bunch of food that tasted the same. Not worth the money. Needs to improve A LOT. read more

Very expensive for what you get. All I ordered was a juice and a sandwich and I was already over $20. While the actual sandwich and juice was decent, the price isn't worth what you get. read more

I love their pesto pasta but the portions are so small but so expensive! Owner is very nice and so is the staff. Whenever I have ordered a sandwhich they took over 40 min to make it. So I don't bother but the pesto and the potato dish is delicious. read more

So glad to have a vegetarian place in Coolidge Corner! Last night I had a delicious vegetable soup with an excellent broth. My daughter got a very flavorful fruit smoothie. A very nice, excellent vegetarian - vegan restaurant. Super salads and smoothies - everything was fresh and delicious. There is a big variety of salads, soups, deserts, smoothies, and other fruit drinks. Everything was yummy and the people were so courteous and helpful. read more

Love the juices! Nice, large menu selection.

The food here is pretty good and the atmosphere is chill. My big complaint is about the owner. The first time I went in there he waited on me while also texting on his phone. The whole process was very slow and I felt that he was almost doing me a favor by getting me a sandwich. The next time he was trying to complete some sort of catering order and was absolutely screaming at his employee. It was extremely unpleasant. I'm sad to not go back because I like the menu and love having some healthy options in Coolidge Corner. read more

This is my first yelp review, I usually don't but in this case I'm feeling obligated too..Pure Cold Press!! Hands-down the best place to eat! Not just eat, eat healthy, you get that feeling as soon as you walk into the restaurant. For some reason I immediately felt healthier walking into this place. All you see are greens and raw vegetables and I knew I was in the right place. The owner Haim, I wanted to take a second to give a shout out to him. First time I ever walked in there he came from around the counter and introduced himself and made me feel welcome. He went over the entire menu with me asked me what I liked what I didn't like and even made a suggestion, and he was spot on when he suggested the avocado smash sandwich!!! Which was unbelievable.. From the fresh salad bar to the soups in the breakfast sandwiches, everything made fresh.. I'm just mad that I didn't come up with a concept for this restaurant first..lol now people might say it's a little pricey, what I say to that is you can't put a price tag on your health.. To Haim and all of your wonderful staff I say.. Well done! read more

Amazing environment, fresh food, friendly service. I would highly recommend this place!

I really wanted to love this place at first because there aren't too many juice bars in the area, but Pure Cold Press definitely disappointed. While I think that their selection of salads and juices are great, they seem to change the prices every time I go. I paid almost $8 for two "portions" of their salad, which didn't even fill 1/4 of the to-go container. I could go to Sweetgreen in Copley and grab a massive salad for the same price. Next time I'll skip this place and grab a juice at Trader Joes and a salad at Sweetgreen. read more

The only positives about this place is the decor and the cleanliness. We ordered the 5 scoop salad for 15.99....are you kidding me? No protein options, no salad dressing and no flavor. For 16.99 I can get a Rami's special which includes kebabs, shwarma, falafel, humus, pita & israeli salad. I don't drink juice and the only other option was water. Nope, I won't be returning. A HUGE disappointment. read more

I work for a organization that ordered almost $200 worth of food. The driver showed up without a receipt, and although we called numerous times to get the receipt, and in fact were promised it, we never did get it. This was at least a month ago. Obviously, they didn't appreciate the business. read more

I had a terrible experience the last time I came to get lunch from here. I ordered a custom salad from the owner who spent the entire time complaining about how the restaurant had turned into an "F***ing kindergarten" in there. There was a group of about 4 or 5 toddlers sitting at a long table with their grownups and eating very quietly and nicely. Literally making NO noise. What he was too dense to realize was that he was complaining about this to a pregnant woman. To top it off, after he made my salad and put it in the plastic container there were some pieces of lettuce hanging off the sides which he proceeded to touched with his BARE HANDS and put back in the container. He was so rude that I felt too intimidated to say anything about him touching my salad so I paid for it and immediately threw it away. I am never going back to this offensive establishment. FYI pretty sure the owner took down my review. Reposting it as this is a truly dishonest business. read more

Not loving Pure Cold Press.. I ordered a smoothie with almond milk, the gentleman who made it for me appeared very rushed. I asked about the blueberries and chia nuts. I'm not sure he even knew what Chia nuts were and his response was that they're very "hydrating"?? His back was turned when he responded quickly; clearly he didn't like to answer questions. He poured half almond milk and half tap water in my smoothie. Hello? Tap Water? Would it hurt just to put A little more almond milk? It's not that expensive but the smoothie was, $9.00. I wish he was a little more calm in his demeanor and in preparing meals; after all, it wasn't crowded. The other servers (who were female) were great. Very solicitous and patient. Overall, the food is okay. Too pricey for what you get (in my opinion). My friend ordered a mozzarella tomato panini and the cheese was not mozzarella. She said It tasted fine but she was too tired to make a fuss. Would I go back? Not sure. The male server needs to take lessons on customer service. read more

Agree with most reviewers. They have soup - but what kind - you have to ask. They have sandwhiches - but what kinds? You have to ask. Then you are in line, moving slowly, while the person in front of you is deciding what to buy - as most items displayed are not labelled. Customer service is non-existent; they are not happy when you have to ask so many questions and they are too busy entertaining themselves at the cash register to address their patrons questions/concerns and just trying to pay and leave. They need to step it up in terms of identifying menu items - also pricey, 16 oz soup for $7.00. They said it was 16oz, to me- it certainly looked like 8 oz. It was OK soup, nothing great (lentil). Have great hopes for them, hope they rise to the occasion and LISTEN to customer feedback and improve. Juices are expensive - and are not juiced in front of you as they are in many other stores. In time, hopefully issues raised - will be addressed/resolved and improved. read more
