    Tofu udon
    Alisha M.

I had a very nice experience here! The couple who own the cafe are very friendly, and it was a very quiet and calm ambiance. I got a loose leaf tea and the tofu udon, which was served hot and fresh and tasted delicious! A hidden gem, especially for the price point.

This place has a large selection of hot loose-leaf teas. I probably made a mistake by ordering their bubble tea instead of trying their hot tea. I tried the green oolong bubble tea ($5 regular, $5.5 large) made with half and half (this is the standard unless you ask for a different milk) and sugar. I could barely taste the tea and the drink wasn't that creamy either. It mostly tasted like water... The pearls, as others have mentioned, were hard. They weren't hard in an undercooked way, where they'd be chewy on the outside with a powdery yet firm center. Instead, these pearls were firm throughout which suggested to me that they weren't fresh. They had the texture of the pearls you get when you leave your bubble tea in the fridge overnight.

service was quick. they prefer cash! I got the peach blossom tea but replaced milk with oat milk and only a little cream. I wasn't super impressed but the drink might've tasted better without the substitutions. Boba was kind of hard...Peach flavor came through well though! if you're planning to come here to do work, it might not be the best. They don't have many outlets (only one actually that I saw).

This is a decent place to grab snacks, quick meals or drinks. It's never really crowded in here, so if you want to have a conversation with your friend at a place that isn't so crowded, this may be a good spot (provided you each at least buy one drink. They will not let you sit for long if you come in with a crowd and only grab one drink!). I like that they have a good selection for the drink..although I think a lot of tea was already premade and sitting chilled in the fridge. Otherwise, they taste fine if you aren't too picky. The gentleman owent behind the counter had always been nice and helpful to me...but maybe not always to others who may look to take slight advantage of a local store (e.g. buying a drink but having a huge crowd also sitting at your table without buying anything else). P.S. if you plan to frequent somewhat often, you can get a stamp card for a free drink if you collect enough stamps, too (for every 8 or 10 drinks or something).

    Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Sandwich

The roasted red pepper hummus was AMAZING!! The sandwich was the perfect size and so flavorful, and the roasted red pepper hummus added such a nice texture and kick to the sandwich. I got it on multigrain bread with onions and spring vegetables and it was actually just such a joy to eat

Dado is the perfect place to work on assignments or group projects-- it is so spacious and inviting and feels really home-like & friendly. The prices are so good especially as a student who loves coffee shops but cannot spend too much. However, the quality of the coffee is so fresh and they will make it right in front of you and make sure it is to your liking! If you are looking for a coffee shop that feels like a cozy home and that has such a cute and unique personal touch, you need to try Dado! I love their chai and iced americano (you can even hav the option for one or two shots)!

Cute cafe serves tons of authentic Asian loose leaf tea (all kinds of green, black, white tea that you can think of), bakeries, salad, sandwich, udon, coffee, mochi and Japanese snacks! Super spacious, nice lighting, soothing piano background music and free WiFi! A great place to hangout with friends or do some reading on a leisure Sat afternoon.

    Earl grey bubble tea
    Ming M.

I really wanted to like this place! It's really cute and the man at the counter seemed nice. But the earl grey bubble tea was not very nice. The bubbles were a little mushy, and had a strange medicinal taste. The tea it's self did not have a strong earl grey taste and was not very sweet. This might be my fault because this is more a tea tea place than a bubble tea place so I had a different expectation. Maybe if you like more of a healthy bubble tea this is a good place for you.

Potter wrap! Chicken, brown rice, lettuce, soy sesame sauce. Somehow absolutely hits all the right notes.

This review might just be for the potter wrap and bibimbop bowl alone, because that's all what get every time we come here. We always leave feeling extremely satisfied yet at the same time quite healthy. Whenever we get food here, we always wonder why it's been such a long time since we've last been since it's so fabulous. Be back soon!

Ordered a matcha bubble tea. Matcha taste wasn't very strong, tasted more milky than matcha-y. Boba was harder than my liking. Cheaper than other boba chains.

Strawberry scone (was half off because we came here later in the day) so yummy!!

TL;DR - if you are from Bombay, are craving that specific Bombay Chinese food taste, and Vada Pav - look no further - this is the place. Most of their staff are fellow Mumbaikars - shout out to Shiv, Dhvani, and Ronak! Shiv, our server was friendly and our hungry table got straight to ordering which included a flavor packed and well priced Lychee Martini ($10), Masala Chai Hot Toddy ($12), and Spicy 'Lil Rita ($12) - being the best one! Food included some well name dishes like Kashmiri Deviled Eggs ($12), Vada Pav ($12), Rasam Risotto ($15), Butter Chicken Pot Pie ($20), Chicken Steak with Makhani Sauce ($18), Street Fried Noodles ($16), and Penne Pasta with Chicken for the kiddos. Food just hits the right spots and is very flavorful, extremely well seasoned, and perfectly spiced. Interiors and their bar is very inviting. Noise levels during our stay were on the lower end. Service was excellent. What was refreshing was they didn't charge us any automatic gratuity even for our large group - but absolutely deserved a generous one! Highly highly recommend if flavorful food is your thing!

We were part of a large group (12 diners) for a pre-wedding dinner/party…read more Except for the couple getting married, I believe the rest of our party were the only out-of-towners dining that evening. This is a pub-type atmosphere with a full-service, large bar serving cocktail specials and a gazillion draft beer options. There is a street-side patio if you wish to watch the people and cars at Davis Square. Five Horses serves American comfort food, and they do a pretty good job serving up their offerings. I ordered the steak tips, and they were OK. They were served Med/rare, as ordered, but they did need a bit more seasoning. Plus one ordered a steak salad, and it was OK. They were pretty frugal with the protein, and it came with an abundance of tomatoes. Another guest split a cobb salad it arrived without some ingredients, like bacon. Other diners stated that their dinners were excellent, so 4 stars seems about right. Even though they were very busy, our table was well taken care of throughout the evening. If I lived here, this would be in my rotation for a brew or two, catch a game, and enjoy a burger.

I try not to post negative reviews but I do not recommend the flank steak. I saw it (flank steak,…read morechimmichurri sauce, mashed potatoes, and broccoli) at $29 and said I haven't ordered a steak in while, let's treat myself. Boy was I disappointed, it was literally four tiny slices of beef, about a ladle and a half of mashed potatoes (flavor was great but the texture was dry and it was hard to swallow), and the broccoli was broccoli. The steak was cooked to my liking (rare) but it was room temp and I would describe that serving size as maybe the equivalent of a medallion. Everything else our table ordered (pizza, shepherd's pie, and a burger) looked great but the flank steak is not it y'all. However the service was top notch and will definitely go back, just won't order the flank steak next time!
