I was one minute late to the class and was not allowed to come in. I've been many to many studios around the country and this is the first time I'm not allowed to go in. You should have a disclaimer on your booking page and an alert that you are not allowed to come to class if you are not exactly on time. read more

For a total body work out that is low impact, this is the place to be. It's ballet, Pilates, yoga rolled into one!

I attended classes at Pure Barre Wellington for several months, and if I had not had to move out of the area, I would have loved to continue. Classes were often packed, but the instructors were very good at correcting if they saw someone using poor form, or if we needed a modification. There was a learning curve, as the terms and moves took several classes to get the hang of, but the instructors were all very encouraging! I have several spinal & joint injuries, so I need to be cautious with fitness classes. While I may have had sore muscles after classes at PBW, I never felt like I had aggravated any existing injuries or developed any new ones. I highly recommend PBW to anyone! read more

I got the two week groupon, and the classes are challenging. However, it is a really good workout, and after each workout, I feel so much better about myself. After about a week, I can feel my core got stronger and overall I had more energy. The instructors are all really great and really helpful. I would definitely recommend this class. The music, the workouts, and the instructors really keep the class going, especially since I get bored easily when I work out at the gym with no motivation. read more

I love the instructors here and the workout is intense, but manageable. You can work out at your own pace if you want, or make adjustments to suit you. I cannot, and probably will never be able to do, a proper push up... so I just plank while everyone else does this portion. This version of barre is a bit faster paced than other methods I've tried. My one gripe and reason I don't continue to go is the fact that the workout area is carpeted: This may seem trivial, but when you are drenched in sweat and your toe socks cannot grip the floor it is *extremely* frustrating. I am sure this is no fault of the owner because it is a franchise, but I hate it! Micah (the owner) is great with follow ups and always makes sure her attendees are happy, so I wish her all the luck in the world! :) As for me... I'll need to find a studio with hardwood flooring. I'm not sure why exactly Kim M chose to give little to no instruction at the Barre to a class attending for the first time, nor do I understand why she did not once smile, and only turned the air on at the begging request of the class of first timers. For whatever reason, the impression I left with was there was tension with her and it spilled onto the entire class and created alot of confusion. I do not understand why there was 8 or so smiling instructors out in the waiting area having a blast with one another while inside with all the newbies was utter confusion and alot of disorder. The studio itself sparkling new, however they need FANS in the studio! As long as they offer discount prices for classes here (since they are not teaching at a full price service level), I will attempt to return. read more

Positives: Small Class Sizes Friendly and knowledgeable staff Clean Space New Workout every day Flexible workout schedule (I work 12 hours and day and I could still fit in a class) Drawbacks: Higher cost (expect to pay around $100-200 a month) Not enough empower classes (the higher intensity barre classes) Strict policies (regarding missed/late classes and attire) Not enough individualized attention (some instructors are good at spotting bad form and correcting it but most aren't.) Take a breaking down the barre class if you don't want to spend a month doing everything wrong. Overall it's a nice place to work on your flexibility and strength training. A friend introduced me to Pure Barre a little over a week ago. I took the leap, and bought the two week Groupon and I am totally hooked!! The instructors are great! They aren't super overwhelming and the instructors model and ask you to rely on your ears. If you aren't doing something correctly they will help you correct the move. This studio absolutely has no reasonable policies. I called in advance and said I was running a minute late and she didn't mention that if I was 30-60 seconds late, I would be closed out of the class. I drove 30 minutes to get to this class and was 45 seconds late and wasn't allowed into the class. I asked to speak to the owner and wasn't allowed to. Really unfair - I had to turn around and drive 30 minutes . And there was plenty of room in the class. read more

I got the one month unlimited Groupon. Classes are great. Instructors are great. Unfortunately, the person who I believe is the owner of this particular store is a nasty, unreasonable person. I forgot my socks, so bought a pair for the class. Went into studio, and apparently when they looked me up, they realized it was not a class I was allowed to take. So they came into the studio to tell me I was not allowed to stay for the class I did not realize I had come to a specialty class and I am not entitled to all classes because of Groupon. No problem, So, I wanted to return the socks, since I didn't need them. She threw a fit about not being allowed to return the socks because I didn't have the "tag" ... seriously? I had JUST BOUGHT THEM. The tag was in their trash can. She also berated me for not looking on the website to get the schedule and I should have known it was a special class, etc. Very very aggressively nasty. Finally, she threw the socks at the poor girl at the desk and said "just give her the credit back." It was quite humiliating, to say the least. She treated me like I was trying to steal merchandise from her. A total b*tch !!!! I am out $79.00 and they still did not give me credit for the socks read more

You had better be fit and ready if if you are going to go to a class here! The class schedule does not offer a "beginner's class" so you jump right into a full blown class with no prior instruction or idea of what it is all about. Luckily I took a $95 private lesson with my 25 year old daughter to determine if this type of fitness class was to my liking. I made it half way through before letting exhaustion (and some frustration) get the better of me. The owner is well versed in what she teaches but was a bit like turning on a video rather than interacting with a real person. Taking things slower or working to our pace (and my daughter is aerobically quite fit) or reading her clients might have resulted in a sign up for classes. But in no way could I tackle this unless there were a "fitness appropriate" division of classes or if she were an instructor who could "dumb it down" a bit as the type of different workout challenges are not something I'm familiar with excepting a mild cross of Pilates, yoga and free weight work.
