Cancelled my membership and they billed me after anyways. Very immature and unprofessional. "Grace" who works at this location has no grace at all. Very unprofessional, immature and passive aggressive. If you are 30 seconds late they lock the door and you can't enter and then they charge you 15 dollars for it. I've spoken to attorneys and they say this practice is illegal. They do the LA fake grin to get you through the door and then they charge you $15 after they lock the door and you can't enter even when they're there. Also when you want to cancel your membership they charge you after anyways. Parking is often abysmal. The floor is unnecessarily hard. Half the teachers want to act elitist. To their own clients. Whose business they depend on. This is no way to run a business. Beyond a ripoff. You pay for a monthly membership they can't charge a late fee. You're already paying for the spot. Greedy. I addressed my concerns with the staff here and nothing was done. I have email proof of that. Sad that they insist upon having a passive aggressive attitude towards some of their own clients. I would give negative stars if possible. Booked a free trial class and received confirmation and updates regarding the class, requested to sign a waiver and even asked for more personal information. Up until the class, they were very communicative but when I arrived at the location, the store was closed and no one answered. Barre is not for the faint-hearted. I used to have a personal trainer, hit the gym hard - lift,lift,lift just for the gains. Gym is easy. Barre is hard - it's all about getting the techniques right. Consistency is the key. I almost gave up, but I keep going especially when I can see that my body is starting to show progress. I don't want to gain. I want to remain lean, sculpted and healthy. Today marks my 4th Pure Barre work out and I'm in love! I'm addicted! I'm excited and hopeful!! I'm recovering from 2 foot surgeries and dealing with hip issues. I'm only 37!! I can't weight train the way I used to due to how much my body has changed from surgeries and hip issues. The pure Barre ad on IG kept popping up so I finally tried it. I was scared and nervous thinking I wouldn't be able to keep up but I was so wrong. My first session was with Meghan and she took the time to listen to my injuries and helped guide me through my first class. You are using your own body weight , light weights and a ball for the class and if your thinking "2.5 weights and a ball, really"? I WAS SWEATING! I highly recommend pure barre if you are someone who isn't motivated at the gym, someone who needs a instructor and small class to feel motivated. Prices - Barre isn't cheap I will admit that and that's why I took so long to sign up. I attended two classes at the North Hollywood studio. I signed up for "membership". I took my second class. It was HORRIFIC. I am almost 60, and the insrtuctor CARSON, was rude, she was not concerened about my safety, nor was she making sure my movements were correct. She was critical. It was a nightmare experience. To top it off they had me download an app that never worked. When i emailed the owner, and told her what happened, and that I wished to cancel my membership, and to refund me for the remaining classes, her response was " Sorry and , you can continue classes up to 06/28/2022.I emailed her back, and advised that I do not want to continue taking classes, after my horrific experience. She proceeded to debit my account $159.00. I have no plans to ever go back to this facility. They take your money, regardless of what you are feeling. I am an African American woman, and I felt very discriminated against. POOR MANAGEMENT, POOR OWNERSHIP! read more

Feel the buuuuurn! Pure is nothing like anything else I've done before. It's small, intricate movements that look easy, but boy, does it burn! I've only been doing barre for about 3 weeks (3x a week) and my fiancé has already noticed a difference in my booty (he's a booty guy *wink*) I love house music, and this studio is ALL about it! It's a different playlist every time, which makes it seem like a dance party :) The hour goes by quickly, and you're drenched after your full-body work out! Instructors are super nice and helpful. They correct your posture and make any adjustments. Because I'm fairly new, I constantly get adjusted but hey, that's how you learn, right? Oh, and the students are really nice too. Like, we actually TALK to each other, and not like other studios where the students seem to be rather pretentious and ignore each other. It has a nice, friendly vibe. It's a great workout if you go multiple times a week, BUT, it is fairly pricey... They have new client specials for $100/month unlimited but after that you can buy series classes or monthlies. It's mainly female oriented, but maybe I'll bring my fiancé sometime to show him just how much I'm doing for that booty ;) read more

Highly recommend if you haven't tried Pure Barre! This new location opened up earlier this year and I just love coming to this studio! Brittany and all the instructors are friendly, amazing, and encouraging. I'm new to Barre and have been going for 3 months now. The workout is hard. You will sweat and curse every time but you will get stronger with consistency. My goal was to develop a stronger core and strengthen my lower back due to sitting all day at a desk. My lower back is so much stronger now. My workouts consisted of yoga, running, spinning but due to my back pain I couldn't really do any of those without feeling strong. I've tried a lot of barre classes. Started with pop then when the studio shut down, I had to frantically look for a replacement. Let me tell you, blessing in disguise. The first class I took here was a wake up call. The routine, the instructors are top notch. By the time I signed up to my first class at pure barre, it was the second to last studio on my list. I went in saying to myself, as long as it's decent, we can give it a shot for a month and see how I feel about it and review all the pros and cons of each studio. After the first class, there was no comparison, there was no more need to look. Signed up for the first client special because it's a great deal and got up at 6am on Black Friday and signed up for two years. I was lucky that the timing worked it perfectly. It's been almost a year now and I'm so happy I found Brittany and the whole team. All the instructors make it a point of developing a relationship with you. They are there to teach you, motivate you, and help you grow. It's not just an income revenue, they care about you. They offered a pure barre PhD class recently and I knew if I wanted to improve even more I needed to get a break down of the core of pure barre. I don't think I've been this sore since I first tried barre. Highly recommended for those who already know the fundamentals but want to optimize their workouts to the best of their ability. I've been a devoted Pure Barre member for a few years. After trying a lot of different workout classes, I've stuck with Pure Barre for so long because IT WORKS! It is literally the only exercise program I've done where I can actually see the results on my body. For the past 2 years, my workouts consisted only of yoga and occasional hiking. After moving to North Hollywood, I decided to challenge myself and try barre after hearing great things from my friends. First of all, it is HARD, like muscle shaking, burning hard. I completely underestimated it, but appreciate the intensity. 50 mins flies by thanks to the encouraging instructors and fast tempos and change ups. I'm about to finish my one month new student special and have signed up for a 12 month unlimited contract. While I think the monthly rate is pricey, it seems like they occasionally have special deals and promos to help with that. I've taken classes with Stephanie, Brittany, and Michaela and all are excellent. On top of that, the PBNH community is one of the most inclusive ones I've seen. Women of all sizes, color, and ability level, so don't be intimidated that this just another workout trend. My only complaint is that I wish they had more 7:30 pm classes on weekdays, but otherwise, I'm super happy with the studio and classes. read more
