Spontaneously one day, I was so curious about this new Pilates studio that is local to me. Low and behold, I found SUCH a gem. High Intensity Pilates is exactly what I have been looking for since Rebel Kore became private (a studio in Woodland Hills with manual treadmills)! I'm the type of gal that loves to run as well, hence why the manual treadmill intervals are SUPER crucial to elevating my Pilates workouts and sneaking in some cardio prior to Pilates. The studio itself is ultra feminine: purple, pink, litty, and full of positive affirmations. ALSO: come during the winter holidays because the decorations are so pretty! My favorite instructors are basically all of them, so I'm giving a special shoutout to Parnaz, Sonya, Alexxis, Justine, Kalbe Larisa, Nadia, and Ani! Note: I'm not sure if all of them still teach or there have been new instructors since the names listed, so I'll have to sign up for their classes if that's the case!

    Post Pilates class!

Worth every penny! And, I'm picky about group classes. I was exploring new gyms and tried a few out in the Studio City area and found H.I.P to have the best balance of challenge, fun, and welcoming energy. The environment is clean and modern without the pretentious aura a lot of similar style gyms sometimes have. In addition, the instructors are all unique yet keep true to the routine of the class. Last but not least, I gotta admit that DAISHA is that girl!!! She was my intro instructor and she set the tone from the jump. I ended up getting a membership and committing to 4 times a week. All that to say, if you like some cardio and strength training --- go for it

Popped into class to see if I like the non motorized treadmill. Turns out this type of treadmill is super fun! I also LOVE that they have designated parking spots. I think they have 5 marked spots so get there early since they can pack 10 people per class. The class: 15 minutes on the treadmill 30 or 45 second sprints with walking in between. You are cued through this with the last block being your choice. For me that totaled a little over a mile. Then you change socks and get onto the x-former. This was my first time on one and it was very much like a mega former. We did 3 or 4 (lagree style) core exercises before moving onto arm work. We did a few skater lunges, inner thighs and finished with obliques. Overall a fun change to my routine. If you're looking for true pilates this isn't it but this was still a fun way to get moving.

Be wary of financial scam! I was late for the 11:00 am intro class (my first and only one) for 7 minutes and wasn't allowed in. I left immediately. I signed up for one class only. The promotion states $11 for new members first class. My credit card was charged for no-show/late cancellation extra fee in addition to the regular payment of $11 for the class and they charged my card for all their fraud fees twice. I would not recommend this studio to anyone. Instead of apologizing and resolving the issue Sonia Rashidi googled me and left a fake review on preschool business page. She has never been a customer in the preschool.

This high-intensity Pilates class easily ranks as one of the best (and toughest) workouts I've experienced. The high energy class challenged me in ways I did not expect. The instructor, Sonya was energetic, encouraging and very attentive. The class's structure was brilliantly designed to gradually build up difficulty and by the end I felt like my entire body was shaking. Definitely need to work on my form and practice, but will definitely be back for more!

I love coming to this pilates class! These classes are great for new and experienced people. You will get a full body workout and even some treadmill work. The lighting/music during class make the workout that much better. The instructors are experienced and know how to correct form. All of my friends I've brought to this location love the class as well. I will definitely keep coming

5 stars - my go-to Equinox location…read more Equinox Studio City is my home gym and I'm here pretty much every day. I've been to Hollywood, DTLA, West Hollywood, Glendale, Santa Monica, and Studio City is still my favorite overall. Biggest thing is cleanliness. For how busy this place gets, it's always maintained. Towels are always stocked, locker rooms are constantly being cleaned, and I've never walked into a shower that was out of products. There's always staff in there keeping everything in check. Another huge win is Erewhon Studio City right next door. You finish your workout and immediately have a solid post-workout meal ready. Nothing beats that. There's no Earth Bar here, but honestly you don't even need it because Erewhon is better. You do have to time your workouts though. Early mornings before 8am are the best, weekends early are even better and usually empty. After 9-10am it starts getting packed, and evenings around 5-7pm are honestly tough if you're trying to get a smooth workout in. People complain about parking because the plaza gets busy, but I've never had an issue. I go early, get a great spot, and I'm out before it gets crazy. One issue I've raised multiple times is people bringing oils into the steam room. When they pour it in, the whole place smells, it sticks to your body and hair, and I've had allergic reactions from it. It happens less now, but when it does it completely ruins the steam room. Feels like something that could be controlled better. The vibe here is more low-key, which I like. People mind their business and just work out. Compared to Hollywood, which can feel more social and sometimes uncomfortable, Studio City feels way more normal and focused. Front desk and trainers are hit or miss. Some are great, some don't even acknowledge you. Trainers here mostly keep to themselves unless you hire them, while other locations feel more welcoming. Not a dealbreaker, just noticeable. Music is at a good level too--it doesn't interfere with your headphones, which I appreciate. At the end of the day, I'm here daily for a reason. If you figure out the timing, this is one of the best Equinox locations in LA.

Almost $400 a month for a single floor gym? No thank you…read more I couldn't put my finger on it but something about this place just wouldn't allow me to relax. Something just felt very busy and crowded about the space. I never feel anxious working out .. and I gotta be honest I was expecting more. The gym floor just feels CRAMPED. All the cardio machines felt on top of each other. There's a mirror in the center of the floor by the dumbbells that doesn't look secure since it shakes when people drop weights or walk by .. what's that about? If you're someone that likes to do hiit or has your own routine where you just need a little section to exercise, they don't have that. There's people everywhere. There no turf or anything. There's a small stretching area next to the group exercise classroom if you're able to squeeze in and find a space. I do like that they offer theraguns for use in that stretching area. The locker room was probably the best part. Very cozy and very clean. Second best part was the yoga class I took, I enjoyed that. It's nice to have so many classes available, but I'm not one for group classes. Oh yeah, they DID have a versa climber which is rare to find in a gym these days. I appreciated that because I love that thing. Overall I was disappointed, it's just not for me. There's gotta be a better location.

Results Fitness Center is a true gem and one of the last gyms in LA that still has a soul. The owner, Leo, is present, genuinely cares about the community more than scaling, and truly believes in what he's built. The members aren't zombies staring into space with headphones on, people actually say hello, respect each other, and still give you your space to train. There's a real energy here that's hard to explain unless you experience it. I honestly hope to see more gyms bring back this kind of spirit and culture, but for now I'm just grateful I found this one. Thanks for reading. See you at the squat rack.

I've tried it all, spinning, hot yoga, F45, Training Mate, Orangetheory, Barry's, Pilates. But Heavy Lifting, 3-4 days a week is where it's at. No matter what your fitness goals are. And not, it won't make you "bulky" whatever that means. What do I love about this gym, let me count the ways: 1. Semi-private, members only. Keeps the class sizes very small and you get to know the trainers and your classmates. Love the flat fee, monthly pricing for unlimited classes with no minimum commitment. It's hassle free and there's no hard sell to upgrade your class packages or gimmicky sales techniques. Also, fosters a sense of community. 2. The programming. It's such a luxury not to have to think or plan your workouts. We are all suffering from decision fatigue and it's so luxurious not to think. Just leave it up to the professionals and follow instructions and your body will change. 3. The facility - Everybody gets their own squat rack and bench for the hour. No sharing equipment. Everything is clean and wiped down before and after each class. I'm a germaphobe and I truly appreciate not sitting in a pool of a stranger's DNA. It's clean, lovely and there's towel service. 4. Time - Our most precious, non-renewable resource. I love getting a full body workout in an hour. No waiting around for shared equipment. There are so many classes all day to choose from at four different locations throughout the city. 5. The community - The trainers and the other clients are by far, the kindest and most supportive around. An ego-free, a-hole free, judgment-free safe space for all levels of lifters and all ages. Lifting can be intimidating, but anybody and everybody can do it.

He has such a deep knowledge of how the body works and what it takes to train it for specific goals. He is so easy to work with and talk to. He always responds to my texts. Everyone is friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to any questions or concerns you have for equipment or advice. The gym is small, quiet and very secluded but you have all the essential tools and necessary equipment to get your mind and body back in shape after a long day at work. This gym is only available to NBCUniversal employees and is a great addition to have available for stress relief and overall fitness. One of the advantages of joining up is they give you the option of having your membership directly deducted out of your paycheck (so you probably won't notice after a while) and by doing so, they offer a better deal. They have all of the equipment you need for cardio, heavy/light weightlifting and a schedule of different classes each month. The equipment is clean, well taken care of and all the bikes and treadmills have TV's on them. The only negative is they don't have a real bench press. They do have a smith machine that you can use to get your chest workouts and squats in but for safety reasons a bench isn't provided there. The shower area is a little narrow and tight but if you go after peak times (they say peak is 12pm-1pm & 5pm-6pm) no one is really in the gym. At the front counter they have drinks and protein bars plus headphones, locks, socks and other personal items you can purchase if needed. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and I love how it's not like a day club with people constantly trying to hit on each other or just sitting by machines talking. I can come in, get my work done and get home! I highly recommend joining this gym if you're an employee who just wants an old fashion workout and isn't looking for a pool, steam room, basketball courts and other special amenities.
