I love this location upstairs is awesome. The showers are there and all the trainers and managers are so awesome. I've been coming since July and it's always cool seeing local vendors they support and I love bringing my friends and how welcoming the staff is.

Something just felt very busy and crowded about the space. I never feel anxious working out .. and I gotta be honest I was expecting more. The gym floor just feels CRAMPED. All the cardio machines felt on top of each other. There's a mirror in the center of the floor by the dumbbells that doesn't look secure since it shakes when people drop weights or walk by .. what's that about? If you're someone that likes to do hiit or has your own routine where you just need a little section to exercise, they don't have that. There's people everywhere. There no turf or anything. There's a small stretching area next to the group exercise classroom if you're able to squeeze in and find a space. I do like that they offer theraguns for use in that stretching area. The locker room was probably the best part. Very cozy and very clean. Second best part was the yoga class I took, I enjoyed that. It's nice to have so many classes available, but I'm not one for group classes. Oh yeah, they DID have a versa climber which is rare to find in a gym these days. I appreciated that because I love that thing. Overall I was disappointed, it's just not for me. There's gotta be a better location.

We are looking for a great facility that is convenient in the valley but also had a good community - without being a corporate behemoth. What a great find this place turned out to be. The owner, Leo Frinco, is an award-winning athlete who really practices what he preaches. The staff is wonderful and I see the individual trainers taking time to work with their clients in a thoughtful way - vs barking commands at them. Since joining the place has already expanded twice - a nice new area was added with state-of-the-art equipment and additional stretching areas. They also added a new space where they teach dance classes, have guest speakers and hold events. Results is impeccable - you will always see Leo walking around with a spray bottle taking care of details which causes his clients, like us, to do the same. It's also great to have a gym that you can access with your own key fob - so you can come and go as you like. It's perfect gym if you live anywhere in the valley or over the hill in Bel Air like we do since it's right on Ventura near Coldwater. Great markets and lunch spots within walking distance as well.

I've tried it all, spinning, hot yoga, F45, Training Mate, Orangetheory, Barry's, Pilates. But Heavy Lifting, 3-4 days a week is where it's at. No matter what your fitness goals are. And not, it won't make you "bulky" whatever that means. What do I love about this gym, let me count the ways: 1. Semi-private, members only. Keeps the class sizes very small and you get to know the trainers and your classmates. Love the flat fee, monthly pricing for unlimited classes with no minimum commitment. It's hassle free and there's no hard sell to upgrade your class packages or gimmicky sales techniques. Also, fosters a sense of community. 2. The programming. It's such a luxury not to have to think or plan your workouts. We are all suffering from decision fatigue and it's so luxurious not to think. Just leave it up to the professionals and follow instructions and your body will change. 3. The facility - Everybody gets their own squat rack and bench for the hour. No sharing equipment. Everything is clean and wiped down before and after each class. I'm a germaphobe and I truly appreciate not sitting in a pool of a stranger's DNA. It's clean, lovely and there's towel service. 4. Time - Our most precious, non-renewable resource. I love getting a full body workout in an hour. No waiting around for shared equipment. There are so many classes all day to choose from at four different locations throughout the city. 5. The community - The trainers and the other clients are by far, the kindest and most supportive around. An ego-free, a-hole free, judgment-free safe space for all levels of lifters and all ages. Lifting can be intimidating, but anybody and everybody can do it.

Let me tell you about Alec and his new gym, Perfect Form LA. I've been into fitness for decades and…read morehave worked with many trainers worldwide, but Alec? He's seriously in a league of his own. He created a program called The Perfect Form-u-la (get it?). Yes, I know, everyone has a program. But this one's the real deal-- evidence-based science integrating exercise, nutrition, and recovery. Gains happen fast and have been consistent. Works perfectly for me. What I appreciate about Alec is that he's super disciplined but also just a great guy to be around. He pushes you hard, but you're also having fun while sweating that last rep. It's no wonder all these celebs and big shots are lining up to train with him. The gym is like a private playground for people serious about getting in shape, with a cool, upscale vibe. The place is decked out with just the right amount of high-end gear, which is awesome, but Alec and his wife, Jess, really make it special. Bottom line? Give Alec and Perfect Form a shot at delivering an exceptional experience and the results you want now.

I'm a 48 year-old female who was doing yoga everyday -- generally fit but maybe a little too slender and frail. Alec put me on a training regimen of heavy lifts at my requests - squat variatons, deadlifts, a little bit of upper body (bench presses, shoulder presses, back rows, lat pulldowns). I feel great after every workout -- he pushes me to my limits, but with a smile and gentle encouragement. He makes me believe in myself. I have felt so proud of myself after starting this journey -- I've put on about 5 lbs, mostly muscle. My strength has gone way up in my lower body, plus I can see a big difference -- I definitely have more curves, and I feel better in my body. I definitely recommend Alec highly. He has such a deep knowledge of how the body works and what it takes to train it for specific goals. He is so easy to work with and talk to. He always responds to my texts. And the space is beautiful and welcoming, with great lighting and a very clean environment. There is street parking, but I park at the Walgreens next door and just buy something lol. But to sum it up: having a trainer is for sure an indulgence, but Alec is definitely worth it.

Everyone is friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to any questions or concerns you have for equipment or advice. The gym is small, quiet and very secluded but you have all the essential tools and necessary equipment to get your mind and body back in shape after a long day at work. This gym is only available to NBCUniversal employees and is a great addition to have available for stress relief and overall fitness. One of the advantages of joining up is they give you the option of having your membership directly deducted out of your paycheck (so you probably won't notice after a while) and by doing so, they offer a better deal. They have all of the equipment you need for cardio, heavy/light weightlifting and a schedule of different classes each month. The equipment is clean, well taken care of and all the bikes and treadmills have TV's on them. The only negative is they don't have a real bench press. They do have a smith machine that you can use to get your chest workouts and squats in but for safety reasons a bench isn't provided there. The shower area is a little narrow and tight but if you go after peak times (they say peak is 12pm-1pm & 5pm-6pm) no one is really in the gym. At the front counter they have drinks and protein bars plus headphones, locks, socks and other personal items you can purchase if needed. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and I love how it's not like a day club with people constantly trying to hit on each other or just sitting by machines talking. I can come in, get my work done and get home! I highly recommend joining this gym if you're an employee who just wants an old fashion workout and isn't looking for a pool, steam room, basketball courts and other special amenities. Unfortunately, one employee, Mason, repeatedly spoke to me in a way I found rude and unprofessional during class, publicly "correcting" me despite my using modifications that other instructors had explicitly approved due to health reasons. To avoid further issues, I stopped taking his classes. Outside of class, I asked Mason a simple question about baked goods he sells at the studio, and he ignored me entirely--looking away and not responding. After that interaction, the environment noticeably shifted. Staff who had previously been friendly stopped acknowledging basic greetings, avoided eye contact, and treated me differently than other clients. Sophie also participated in this behavior. I was only attempting basic politeness and engagement related to the practice. The behavior felt deliberate and exclusionary, not incidental. For example, when I reached 300 classes at this studio, no one asked me to sign the barre--despite that milestone being clearly tracked in the system. I had signed at 100 classes previously and went on to complete 50 more classes after reaching 300, yet it was never acknowledged. I was consistently polite and respectful. The change in treatment was noticeable and unexplained. I stayed longer than I should have because I needed consistency while ill, but the passive-aggressive exclusion continued. As an unambiguous Black woman in a predominantly white space, this experience felt like microaggressive ostracization rather than a misunderstanding. I contacted ownership when I left, but no meaningful action was taken. I'm sharing my experience so others don't encounter this kind of treatment during a vulnerable time in their lives.
