The intro class is again, very similar to the Club Pilates intro class where they basically just show you the basics of the reformer, although I will say this class was longer than the one at Club Pilates and felt closer an actual class. There is a pretty big (but busy) parking lot since it's in the same strip mall as Apna Bazar and Felipe's Market. I don't live close enough to this studio to justify signing up for a membership, but it seems nice if you're looking for a Club-Pilates style studio.

The small studio creates an intimate, personal vibe for each individual while still fostering a strong sense of belonging. The instructor, who is also the owner, Selam, walked around the room and gently adjusted our posture and positioning throughout the class, which made the experience feel very intentional, attentive, and supportive. Pure Barre focuses on targeting the smallest muscle groups, the ones you normally cannot reach or do not even realize exist. You only discover them the next day when everything is sore. I was sweating, my body was shaking while holding some of the positions, and I could feel muscles working that I did not know I had. That is what a great workout does, and that is how you know the hour was truly well spent. What sets Pure Barre Sunnyvale apart from other gyms is its unique, family-like vibe, something you do not find everywhere. From the cleanliness, cozy lighting, and thoughtfully provided equipment to the beautiful souls in the local community, everyone comes together regardless of fitness level to work toward the same goal. With about ten people in each session, you have enough personal space while still feeling a sense of belonging, acceptance, safety, and support. since my first review i've experienced them in their temporary spot ( business office area on el…read morecamino ) and now their permanent spot in downtown los altos and let me tell you, a total upgrade to their original spot in los altos! the new space is very beautiful and the lobby/cubby area is a lot bigger and not so "smooshed" together like their original spot. the parking situation has also improved. you have many options to park (garage or street) in all directions of this downtown location. tons of cute shops, bars and eateries in this area too. ive learned to embrace the classes held here too over the last year. i thoroughly enjoy the options the instructors give- and ive learned to be forgiving of what my body can handle on any given day. thank you for encouraging a positive space

The progress she's helped me make motivated my parents to come see Mystie. They are past retirement age and suffer from chronic back pain. Mystie works with a spectrum of clients with various issues and knows how to approach everyone gently & effectively. She's also bilingual, which is great for my Korean speaking parents. They are accommodating, engaging, and knowledgable. My favorite instructor is Alejandra. I really feel like finishing a good workout after her class. She is attentive to students by correcting their forms. She is such a great teacher, making us use every part of muscles and challenging yet encouraging us. I think that is why her class gets full so fast. I was taking the pilates class here everyday during the summer when I was pregnant a couple years ago. I think it helped me to push my baby! :) Staff at the front are always friendly too.

They give you a code that unlocks the door but Amanda saw me and let me in early. My first class Amanda helped me change out the springs. The theme was Tomorrowland and the music was cool. The class went by fast and I felt thoroughly challenged. I see why people in class get results quickly. I liked that we worked out all parts of the body. That kept things interesting. It was very fast paced with no breaks so if you're not into that, this probably won't be for you. At the end of class, the Amanda congratulated a member on her 50th class and also gave me a shout out for my first class! It was nice to try out the studio, so I've scratched that curiosity! I…read morerecently moved to Sunnyvale so I decided to start taking classes here at the Downtown Sunnyvale studio instead of my home studio (Palo Alto, great studio!). Everyone here is so nice, the gym and bathrooms are clean, and I have had a great experience overall so far. I will say parking on a Saturday morning is tough because the farmers market is right down the street, but I've never not been able to find a spot within 2 mins walking distance. But that's not a big deal at all
