This place is great. Surprised I hadn't found it sooner. I saw it on ClassPass and then saw they had a $100 Into offer for 2 weeks. With each drop in being $36, this is a steal. The front desk is the sweetest, and the instructors are mostly great. I've had one who needed to be smoother with changes and cues, but all were knowledgable. This will not be traditional Pilates, but with a traditional reformer, which is much better than a megaformer. Heavier weights so you will feel the burn. Slow counts and movements. Lots in hands and knees. I think I miss the footwork the most from a traditional studio, but I'll go to those classes elsewhere. They have childcare, lockers, hair ties if needed. The studio is clean, often using props such as weights or a ball. Will def be going consistently to feel a burn. read more

In my last review a few years ago, I mentioned that I wished MNT could add more classes earlier and later in the day, and I'm so glad they did! I signed up for another unlimited membership in the fall and have enjoyed my experience. All of the instructors are great here, but I really enjoy starting and ending my work week with Ali's morning classes! Her classes aren't as focused on heavier springs, which many of the instructors seem to be moving towards, and I love her class style and fun music! I always make a point to attend her classes since I prefer more classic pilates-style classes. However, to echo many of the other reviewers- Ana's classes are awesome as well! I took several of her classes a few years ago when I had another membership package, and was excited to take more of her classes upon returning. Her classes do usually have the heavier springs/more planks thing going on, so if that's for you, you'll love her classes! The studio and equipment are always clean and they have two restrooms, a water fountain, merch, and childcare available. There is a parking lot and street parking right outside, and plenty of other lots and garages in the area. All of the instructors and staff at the front desk are super friendly, so you'll definitely feel welcome here! read more

I love the class and the instructors are amazing. However, I would say this is the least lenient studio in the Bay Area to customers - you are just a number and their restricting (and unreasonable) policies proceed you. You late by 15min? You cant get in, and they charge you $25 for missing a class. You got sick and you had to cancel? Oh this the second time in a few months so no grace cancel. They really don't care about you or your loyalty because their classes have a long waitlist and even if it's not full, their pocket is with a bunch of fees they force upon you. Very unfortunate that they hold the upper hand (the best Pilates in town in terms of workout) and they are not afraid to use it. Dont be fooled by the front desk's smiles - you think they are your friends until they enforce those rules on you. Don't get me wrong - you sign up for a strenuous workout and that starts with showing up on time. Most days are good, but when you were stuck on a work call or traffic and then blocked by your workout studio because you were late, it feels like you are shooting your self in the foot. Just know what you are walking into. If you are used to Barry's friendly customer service, you are in for an adjustment. Someone please bring some healthy competition to downtown Palo Alto! read more

I signed up for the two week trial membership for $100. I had my first class today, and it was very good. I'm 62 years old, and was probably the oldest person in the group, but I did not feel awkward. I made modifications where I needed to and paused when I needed to take a break. Just a heads up: if you don't notice the pricing for socks or water like me (and I'm sure it's posted. I just didn't see it) they're $24 for one pair of socks, and four dollars for a carton of water. It's easy to sign up for group sessions with their app. The only thing I can't find is what they charge for a cancellation fee. They're not answering their phones so I'm waiting for a call back. I've been going to this studio for 1 month now and I can honestly say this is the first time I have ever enjoyed exercise in my entire life. I had never felt that post-workout endorphins feeling so many people talk about until my first class at MNT with Ana. I started with the 2 week trial and then bought a bundle of classes while I decided if it made sense to become a member. Given that I consistently take a minimum of 2 classes per week, the unlimited membership is the best option price-wise, and I'm starting that this upcoming month. The facilities are very clean, classes are offered at great times, and so far all instructors have been extremely welcoming and helpful. I had never tried pilates, much less a reformer, and they made me feel welcome from day 1. While it hasn't been too long (1 month, 2 class per week), I can already tell my body feels stronger. The classes feel more manageable week to week and I can see a noticeable increase in energy on days I take classes. I highly recommend taking the plunge, even if you're a beginner to pilates/working out! read more

Great reformer Pilates studio in downtown Palo Alto! I've been coming here consistently for the past 2 months, and each instructor brings a new challenge to each class. I also like that the instructors are willing to push you, but also accommodate for any injuries and always offer adjustments. I have been coming here for 2 years now and absolutely love this place. I've tried so many different pilates studio in CA, New York, and the Midwest, and nothing even comes close to MNT. MNT is the studio where I first tried pilates and fell in love with it. It's consistently challenging -- even after hundreds of classes -- and leaves me feeling refreshed and strong every time. MNT does a great job catering to levels as well. Through the years as I've gotten better at pilates I am still challenged and quite often sore! Arianna, Ana, and the rest of the MNT instructors are phenomenal at what they do, and the entire MNT staff is extremely friendly, understanding, and helpful. They're extremely responsive via email and text as well. Being a college student, the studio is also very helpful when it comes to pausing/reactivating membership over long breaks. I love this place! I just started here about 2-3 weeks ago and so far, I am loving it. It's safe to say I'm low key addicted because the feeling afterwards is just amazing! It's a very sweaty workout but low impact. It's high intensity to the point where you're shaking and dripping in swear (at least me) but thats kind of the best part! I've never taken any form of pilates before this but I've had personal trainers that don't give me this type of work out, so I'm def sticking with this. Also, all the instructors are super sweet and make you feel very comfortable. I was so scared at first because I didn't know what to expect and I felt so out of shape, but once you get there, there's such a positive energy in the environment that it all goes away. :) Thank you all at MNT studio and can't wait to continue my relationship with you! read more

The last four years of my life haven't really been about fitness - they've been about survival and keeping my head above the water. In 2015 I started a business in 2017 I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer and in 2019 I had a total hip replacement. During this time the stress, lack of motivation and decreased self-esteem made me resist the urge to live healthily and happily. So, here I am having gained 25 pounds, and feeling the strain that has been placed on my body over the last few years. I've tried everything to get motivated to get my health back on track. But to be honest, with recent injuries and lack of stamina and self esteem nothing had really been enjoyable. That is, until I found MNT. MNT has been the drink of water that my body needed to start feeling like my old self again. I have taken classes with Elaine, Ana, Salena and other instructors. They are all knowledgeable, kind, not intimidating and overall just good people. They have taken an interest in making sure I am performing Pilates safely and effectively, while also having a genuine interest in getting to know me and their other clients. I have been going to MNT for three weeks now, and have already seen a positive change in my body. I've also found that this new interest in exercise has made me focus more on the foods that I am fueling my body with. I am so grateful that I found MNT Studio and will continue to go to classes as often as I can. read more
