Heard so much about Flo Pilates from social media - they portray themselves as super premium, ultra lux, the best and prettiest Pilates studio in the Bay Area. Honestly, it fell really short.
I booked through ClassPass, and off the bat the parking was annoying - the parking garage isn't accessible if you booked via ClassPass, so you're stuck trying to park in a small nearby lot; parking is not straightforward at all (there is a garage if you're a full Flo member).
I took their highest-intensity class on the machine and it was honestly underwhelming - very stretch-focused. There was also a lot of casual chatter between the instructor and other students during class, which I didn't appreciate; it felt awkward for everyone. The flow of the class wasn't great either - it didn't really move from one exercise to the next, it almost felt like a feedback loop of "what works, what doesn't."
The studio itself is very tiny - the mirrors make it look way bigger on social media. Only one bathroom, and you have to wear their slippers to go in, which I found kind of weird and unsanitary.
All in all, definitely not worth the premium price they market, and I don't think I'll book it on ClassPass ever again. read more
