I didn't think I was going to be wiped out and yet I was lol! Had the Empowering session with Rebecca. I liked her session this second time I came to Pure Barre so much better than the other session. I was so so sore the next day and that's without weights. Clean, mirrors in front and side to easily check your form. Cool water fountain was a plus. I've been coming to Pure Barre Cedar Park for almost 2 years and can say it's one of the best decisions I've made for my fitness. I've been a runner for over 20 years, and Pure Barre has helped me strengthen my core, seat and legs more than I could ever do on my own. The workouts are low impact but very challenging. Yes, I am writing a five-star review, but with reservations. Purebarre is not for everyone - it really depends on your personality. First of all, if you are not planning on going at least twice or three times a week (going every other day or every other two days at least), you may not see the result very much. I used to go once a week and even after a couple of months, I did not feel any improvement. However, as soon as I started attending 2-3 times per week, after almost two months, I noticed my body toning up, slimming down, sculpted a little bit. I felt slightly stronger. So, in terms of "does it bring results?" Yes, it does. Additionally, the owner of PB Cedar Park is very flexible if you have personal health issues. She is willing to communicate and make sure you feel comfortable with the classes and that if you have personal conflicts with your purchases, she can help you adjust them accordingly. However, here are my reservations: 1. If you're out of shape, you will suffer initially. It will take at the least 5-10 classes until you can start feeling a bit more confident in class, because the class is EXTREMELY fast paced. Keeping up can be difficult for newbies. 2. The routines are VERY challenging. Classes do not start off from the fundamentals... you need to really know your own body and listen to your body to avoid injuries. Know what sorts of adjustments you should make for yourself to protect your knees and lower back. PB focuses a lot on the abs, so if you don't have a strong ab, talk to your instructor before or after class on ways you can adjust during workout. The catch is, it feels very awkward (to me) to adjust at first, because I felt out of place, seeing that my classmates seem to all be able to handle the difficulties and I felt pretty wimpy. Of course, I eventually got over that. So, if you're the kind that is easily embarrassed when out of conformity, keep this in mind. There ARE ways to protect yourself and work up at the appropriate pace for your body. 3. Stretch time in between activities are limited. Each stretch lasts perhaps 3-5 seconds - I wish there is more stretch time built-in in between since barre really exhausts specific parts of the body. 4. Weekend afternoon (Fri-Sun) classes are limited. Fridays do not generally have evening classes after 5:30, and Sat. and Sun. classes are mostly before noon (one 2pm class on Sundays). I wish there are more weekend afternoon classes. Overall, I'd highly recommend PB if you are looking for something very challenging and fact paced. Just be patient and adjust for yourself until you're built-up to handle everything as is. Weekday classes are abundant and it's easy to fit into schedule. Give it a try. read more

It's been over a year since my first review. I give Pure Barre CP 5 stars for maintaining top quality instructors and careful attention to detail regarding client satisfaction. Owner Rebecca greets me with a smile each class I attend and provides positive feedback and corrections throughout the workout. The instructors aim to make your hour visit worthwhile. Classes begin and end on time and each hour-long workout is unique so I have never felt bored. In fact, the new Empower class is 45 minutes of heart-thumping cardio combined with weights for max calorie burn and conditioning. I prefer the classic Pure Barre workout because in 30 plus years of trudging to the gym, this is the first fitness program that has melted away my lower ab bulge and completely reshaped my hips and thighs. That said, having combined the Empower cardio workout with the Pure Barre Classic workout for a few weeks I feel like I'm making faster progress in shaping up after a month-long summer break. Another facet of the Pure Barre workout is the support I've discovered from working out with the same group of girls for the past year. Tried Pure barre cedar park as part of class pass. I usually go to studios downtown but since I live in cedar park and saw they had a barre studio I thought I would try it. I came in for a 6am on a Friday with Annette and was open to what the class would bring. I was overwhelmed at how amazing it was! Annette was so great. I joined Pure barre Austin- Cedar Park when they first opened, at a time in my life where I hadn't worked out formally for about two years because I had been focused on opening and running a new business. I LOVE Pure Barre and Pure Barre Cedar Park instructors are amazing. They all provide challenging yet enjoyable workouts and you are able to modify very easily if you have any injuries. There are lots of class times to choose from and they use a waitlist for class and 99% of the time you are able to get into whatever class you want because people cancel and the waitlist moves. I was intimidated to try this at first but it's fantastic. Everyone who works here is very kind and helpful. They encourage you to do your best and get better each time. I've never felt uncomfortable or like I was too out of shape to be here. As for the workout; I'm going on my fifth class and I already notice a difference. I do a lot of cardio on my own but was having a serious problem motivating myself to do any kind of strength exercises. This class was perfect. I have tried a variety of low impact exercises from TRX to Tai-Chi, Yoga to Personal Trainers and am thrilled to have found Pure Barre. The instructors are all highly trained, qualified and consistently challenging. The class format is different every time so you won't get bored yet they have enough consistency that you are prepared for changes. The class numbers are small (under21) so you are guaranteed individual correction and attention. The instructors learn everyone's names so you never feel overlooked or ignored. It is a very empowering atmosphere filled with encouragement. I have seen a noticeable change in my body in strength, toning and flexibility. While it's true that I would appreciate more class time to stretch, I leave the classes feeling that every major muscle group in my body has been worked but not disabled. Wow - in just 2.5 months of Pure Barre I am in the best shape of my life, even after two kids! In my pre-kid life I had a membership at a local gym and did regular workouts (cardio, strengthening, et.c) 3 times a week, and I STILL didn't look this good! The technique truly works and the classes continue to challenge me. The teachers are incredible and are genuinely committed to helping the women in their class achieve results. You can tell because of how frequently they go around and correct your form, and stick around post-class to answer questions and provide support. The music is upbeat and modern, the equipment is in excellent condition, and classes are extremely polished and professional - these instructors don't miss a beat. They have small intimate classes of 18-20 that give what every women is looking for in a class, the instructors are amazing and have lots of encouraging things to say to keep you going. Running and boot camp style classes used to be my method of fitness but Pure Barre has really been the best for changing my body, and I have had little to no pain from past injuries. The overall workout really is designed to target and tone the core and all muscles with very specific techniques. I started at the studio 9 months ago when they opened and have taken over 100 class now. I have never loved a fitness routine as much as I love my barre classes. The moves are small and low impact which is great for my 35 year old body who has birthed 3 children. I have never had this much muscle tone in my adult life! I feel stronger physically but what surprised me is how much stronger I feel mentally. It is a real confidence booster when you can finally plank for 90 seconds. And it will happen. You will be able to plank the entire 90 seconds! The classes really make you focus on yourself. I don't feel like I am looking around at what other people are doing like I did in other fitness classes like zumba or kickboxing. I made so many friends at the studio. I tried out Pure Barre was totally disappointed. First of all - I was totally disgusted by the fact that the studio floor was carpeted. I've taken barre for years in CA, NY and Oregon and have never seen a studio with carpet EVER. Who knows how often it even gets sanitized? Carpets are full of gross things. The quality of instruction was poor. The props that were used were also poor. The height of the barres is pretty low. If you are over 5'8'' skip this place. There are other studios in town with barres for short AND tall people. read more

I started going to the studio in the beginning of the year. I purchased the new client $99 unlimited package (great deal!). I noticed in 4 short weeks that my arms and legs were more toned. I decided to purchase the "Bride to Be" package as I was getting married in July. I initially planned on getting a trainer at my gym but realized that I could achieve my goals at Barre. I couldn't have been more pleased with how I look on my wedding day. I even shared my passion with my bridesmaids bringing the ladies there on my bachelorette weekend. And I haven't stopped since...EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. :) I am so thankful for this place that's become more than just a place to workout, and for that I'm happy to tell you why... Pure Barre Cedar Park (PBCP) is hands down the best workout here in Cedar Park, TX. My personal results and the transformations I've witnessed in my PB friends are the proof - and consistent, visible results just do not lie... I truly believe that PBCP embodies all requirements of a healthy habit for your body, mind and soul. The workout is phenomenal and pairs well with absolutely any other type of exercise whether that be running, circuit training, gym workouts, etc. There's a general flow to the class which allows you to quickly pick up on the moves, but it changes enough via instructor or "cycle" to make it interesting and challenging at the same time. As for the mind, it becomes a wonderful escape to the 24/7/365 hectic world we all live in - 1 hour of time for just me. It may sound silly, but I along with many others truly believe that this studio is unique in that it honesty nourishes your soul. Rebecca Dunn (the owner) and her amazing team, have the natural ability to make everyone who walks through the door feel genuinely welcome, supported, and truly happy to be there (even though they are about to get their butts kicked in class ). It's become the positive start to my day each and every morning and the support that is shared amongst everyone there (clientele and PB team included) is priceless. I just went to my first class in Cedar Park. The only thing I've ever done like this was a Cardio Barre class in LA. This was just as awesome. I do boot camp 3-4 times a week but I can tell this is where the toning is going to come in! It's a low impact and it's not complicated but it definitely makes your muscles shake!!
