I submited a formal complaint regarding the coach who conducted a children's basketball program…read more His behavior toward both my daughter and me was completely unacceptable, verbally abusive, and entirely inappropriate for someone entrusted with teaching young children. had my complaint been taken seriously I would not be here posting about ithad my complaint been taken seriously I would not be here posting about it, but instead was shoved off. I also learned that a very similar situation occurred during another classes. My eight-year-old daughter became upset and was sent off the court after being publicly yelled at for an unknown reason. I calmed her down and sent her back, then coach immediately raised his voice at her and sent her off the court again. Unprovoked. I calmed her a second time and let her sit out for five minutes. She quietly rejoined her group, waited patiently in line for her turn, and when it was finally her turn, the coach screamed at her in front of every child and parent that he was "done with her" and that she needed to leave the "His court." This was the third time she had been publicly removed from class that day. At this point I was extremely confused. I had witnessed nothing that justified this level of hostility toward an eight-year-old child. Assuming I had missed something, I walked to the side of the court and waited respectfully for an opportunity to speak with the coach. I did not interrupt the class or demand his attention. I simply wanted to understand what had happened so I could address the issue appropriately with my daughter. Instead of speaking to me professionally, the coach yelled at me to get off "his court." I was standing along the same perimeter where other parents and people walking laps were located. He then stated that he was "done" with my daughter and that we needed to leave. My daughter had spent most of the session crying on the sidelines confused over the situation, and it was obvious this coach had no intention of handling the situation professionally. Rather than force my daughter to remain there in tears, I quietly collected my son and began leaving with both of my children. As I walked away, without saying a single word to him, the coach repeatedly and aggressively yelled across the gym at my back: "Let them go! Let them go! I don't care! Get off my court! Let them go!" I want to be absolutely clear: This entire confrontation was completely one-sided. As a parent, I trusted your organization with the care of my children. That responsibility includes their emotional well-being as much as their physical safety. These classes are designed for children between the ages of six and twelve. Young children become frustrated, cry, make mistakes, and need guidance. It is the responsibility of a coach to teach, encourage, and redirect them--not scream at them, publicly humiliate them, or repeatedly remove them from participation without explanation. Most heartbreaking of all is lasting impact this coach has had on an eight-year-old child. This is not coaching. This is not discipline. This is intimidation. We were the target of his aggression multiple times without explanation.

Staff is friendly and the gym is secure. My favorite workouts so far are yoga, cycling and barre none. You're working out in a small infrared sauna led by trainers on the monitor. You will be drenched in sweat and the after workout burn will be calculated on your workout device (like an Apple Watch).

Heck, if you're just someone who enjoys working out in peace in a respectful environment where everyone minds their business, wipe down their machines, spray essential oils in your workout sauna room after their workouts as a courtesy.... This place is for you! What it is- hotworx in hutto has 8 sauna rooms and each room is designed to fit 3 people at a time. 4 of those rooms are dedicated to isometric workouts (these are 40 minute classes of yoga, barre, Pilates, core, glutes, warrior/intense yoga, and ISO/isometric) and the other 4 classes are for HIIT (2 spinning classes, rower, and assault bikes). The back portion of the gym is called their FX area, it has free weights, a bench, and some other gym items. There are 2 bathrooms and one has a shower for your convenience. The gym is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to get in you have to have an app with an entry code assigned specifically to you so I always feel very safe even when I'm alone in there. Yes, the rooms fit 3 people so theoretically you could have strangers in there with you but I have not once had to share a sauna room with someone else. I think everyone enjoys having their own space and even if someone did join in I wouldn't mind. Be prepared to sweat!!! The saunas go up to 130 degrees and though that sounds intense you'll get used to it and learn to love it. Membership is $59 a month for just the Hutto location or for $79 monthly you can workout at any Hotworx location and you get an online trainer and a diet tracker. You do need to purchase their mat and yoga towel- please do the Hotworx branded ones. I tried buying an extra towel on Amazon because I thought it would be the same and it's not the same grip. The scheduling for classes is super easy on the app. If you cancel a class or miss, no big whoop, no charge (ahem, looking at you OTF... $10 a cancellation? Yeah, no.) Schedule a free class! I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do! (IMPORTANT- if you decide to try it out hydrate the day prior, that morning, and during your workout. Truuuust me.)

I was ecstatic about the brand-new equipment, hydromassage and red-light therapy amenities, and multiple stories. They even have the uncommon 7.5 , 12, and 17.5 pound dumbbells, which I put to great use. All the staff members are so friendly, there is always someone greeting and saying goodbye at the front desk. Many of my coworkers are also members of this gym and have great things to say about this location. There were some issues during my time there including having trouble finding parking, classes filling up quickly, not being able to connect to Bluetooth in the red-light therapy beds as well as the fans not working inside the hot bed, hitting my shins on the bathroom door since the space in between the toilet and swinging door is minuscule, and corporate not being responsive in adding this location to my employer's discount program. If you are able to look beyond these minor issues, this gym is a great gym for any and everybody to get a cardio and/or strength training workout in using their vast selection state-of-the-art equipment and machines. I only left this gym because I moved into central Austin and was very disappointed to learn they did not have a Crunch location near my new home.

I love that they come down to dance with us instead of standing on the stage the whole time. All the song selection is also very good. The only thing that is not so good about this place is the location. It's good that it's right there within a residential area. However, the area is very dark at night. I was treated with complete disrespect by the front desk, and both owners also cussed at me instead of attempting to resolve my concerns professionally. I have phone records documenting these conversations, as they were angry that I wanted to cancel my membership. The problems didn't stop there. Multiple pieces of equipment were faulty, and the saunas frequently weren't even reaching the temperatures they advertise. Rather than taking responsibility or addressing legitimate concerns, management chose to become hostile and dismissive. The situation became so bad that I ultimately had to contact the police and my bank just to get my membership canceled. Even after all of that, I'm still disputing charges because they continued billing me. Melissa, Carmen, and the little man owner / Maintence man whose name starts with "D" were, in my experience, incredibly unprofessional. No customer should ever be yelled at, cursed at, or forced to involve law enforcement and their bank over a gym membership. Seriously, what the heck? There are plenty of fitness studios in the area that value their members and know how to treat people with basic respect. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
