I've been a member here now for 4 years and I've taken over 325 classes. I took a year off in 2020…read moreduring Covid and took some recovery time from 2 heart surgeries but it always feels great to be back and I REALLY miss the classes during the times I've been unable to attend. The trainers are great and understanding when I have an injury and a great at offering modifications when needed. I've lost body fat and increased my strength and lean mass. It's not a cheap gym membership but I look at it as an investment in my health. As someone with a heart condition I can tell you that your health and well-being are priceless and F45 helps keep me in n both departments! I love the strength workouts, the Saturday classes are a hybrid of cardio and strength, it's always a great way to start your weekend!

Long story short, F45 is the most AMAZING fitness studio I've ever been to and I've tried them all…read more F45 is a 45 minute Functional HITT workout. Monday, Wednesday, Friday are cardio days, Tuesday and Thursdays are resistance days and Saturday is the only hour long workout that is a combo of both. I love that all the workouts are functional meaning they resemble movements you do everyday. Just like an athlete trains for their sport, people should train for activities they do everyday like pushing, pulling, squatting and jumping rather than solely train isolated movements. One thing that really stands out to me about F45 is the individual attention each member receives from the trainers. They pay attention so that they can correct your form, challenge you and encourage you to give 110% every time. There's been countless times when Trainer Jane sees me slowing down and will get down on the ground and do the exercise with me all the way to the end. When I'm getting tired and think I'll just take it easy, Trainer Andrea levels me up and pushes me to my highest potential. I highly recommend getting the heart rate monitor because it really does motivate you during class to see how hard you're working. You also get workout reports at the end of each class emailed to you, so it's nice to see how you performed during class. They also offer the 8 Week Challenge 4 times throughout the year, which I highly recommend trying! Members and nonmembers can participate in the challenge. You will workout at F45, be given a nutrition guide and plenty of support throughout the 8 weeks and will be have your body composition taken every 2 weeks. I have never been able to make a difference in my body composition and after this challenge I was finally able to lose fat while gaining muscle!

I came across a Facebook ad for an F45 "Free 6-Week Comeback Challenge." Since I'm on a health…read morejourney, I thought, "Okay, something different. Let me check it out." The second I filled out the form, I got a call. Lots of questions, which was fine, but my first red flag was when I asked about pricing and how the "free" challenge worked. Before I could finish my question, the subject changed. I was told pricing varies by person, but nobody would explain the free part. I scheduled an appointment anyway because I wanted to see what the hype was about. Before the appointment, I got several texts, including one asking what type of protein shake I wanted. Remember that part for later. When I arrived, it was so dark I wasn't sure anyone was there. I filled out paperwork that mostly repeated the questions I had already answered over the phone. Then I saw a question that said: "If you are not the primary financial decision-maker, please reschedule with your spouse present." Red flag number two. Immediately I thought, "This is about to be a sales pitch." I never got a tour. Nobody explained the classes or how the workouts worked. Instead, I was taken to the back and questioned about my health journey. I explained that I've successfully lost weight before, work with a dietitian, and that my biggest struggle lately has simply been motivation due to some personal things that started around December. The response? Basically, everything I was doing "wasn't working." Wait a damn minute. I've only been struggling for a few months. I wasn't there because I don't understand nutrition or exercise. I wanted to see if group fitness would help with motivation and accountability. Then my dietitian started getting discredited despite him knowing almost nothing about her recommendations or my situation. Every explanation somehow got met with, "Well, it's not working." The facility itself appeared clean at least I think it did. The lights were never fully turned on, so I was basically evaluating the gym in mood lighting . Thankfully my iPhone can make a dark room look like it has light. Then we got to pricing. The "free" six-week challenge was suddenly around $699 and included coaching, classes, meal plans, body scans, and other services. My immediate thought was: Where exactly was the free part? The conversation The second option required an upfront payment, a 12-month commitment, and weekly payments. I explained that I don't make financial decisions on the spot. I like to go home, think about it, compare options, and then decide. That wasn't received very well. The conversation became more about getting me to commit than helping me determine whether the program was a good fit. At one point I was basically told I could either commit or keep doing what I was doing which apparently "wasn't working." Then came the final straw. I was told women spend money on hair, nails, and shopping and could redirect those funds toward fitness. Sir... You don't know me. I budget carefully, and even if I did spend money that way, that's none of your business. Before leaving, I asked if I could observe a class. The answer was no because apparently if people leave, they don't come back. And looking at a class is not going to determine anything. No trial was offered now I see several trial offers online for lower than what I was offered which was nothing Funny thing is, I'm exactly the type of person who leaves, sleeps on a decision, researches it, and then comes back if it makes sense. In the end, I chose not to join. My issue isn't that they charge for services. My issue is advertising a "Free 6-Week Comeback Challenge" and then presenting expensive packages without clearly explaining costs upfront. Ironically, the experience motivated me just not in the way they intended. It reminded me that I've reached my goals before and I can do it again. Oh, and remember that protein shake he texting me about? Yeah... nobody ever offered it when I got there. Guess we both left disappointed False advertising at its finest.

I have finished my first week at Crossfit Round Rock and it has been nothing short of spectacular…read more Adrien, Landon, Tegra, and everyone attending the classes are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met. I am working on starting a career in law enforcement and need to get into shape to pass the physical. Aside from that it would be great to be fit anyways. I have been having trouble keeping motivated on my own, and also lack the knowledge necessary for good results. My friends from my hometown always told me about crossfit, but I have always been a stubborn do it yourself-er. It took my fitness instructor from the police department telling me that crossfit is the absolute best way to get into shape. So I started looking. After about a month of looking around I found Crossfit Round Rock. I called Landon and got signed up a week later. I have been sore pretty much since then. In just one week, I have already learned so much, and I have to say I can definitely tell I am going to be addicted to the place very soon. Some of the great things about these guys, aside from how friendly they are and how fun they make the workouts, is they can tailor the workouts to any age or fitness level. Before every workout they go up to each of us individually and make sure we understand what we are doing, and make recommendations as to what weight to use, and also make changes to the exercise if your not capable of doing it entirely. They keep you focused and motivated the entire time, and refuse to let you quit. Aside from the workouts they have health seminars that go over the proper nutrition and help you to develop the proper diet to maximize your results. Crossfit is the place to be whether your 18 or 60, an athlete or a couch potato, it doesn't matter. I strongly encourage you to check it out and see for yourself.

I hadn't set foot in a gym for over 2 years and my nutrition was just plain sad. I needed something different than a regular gym. I was looking for a place that would put me through intense workouts that I'd never seen before, a place that held me accountable and kept me motivated, and ultimately a community of people all working towards their fitness goals. I found all of that and more at CFRR. My experience has been amazing. I'm on my fifth full month there going 3 times a week and have dropped 20 lbs and 10% body fat. The workouts are tough but rewarding. Crossfit brings out your competitive spirit which is a big part of my ability to stick with the program and push myself beyond my perceived personal limits . The coaches(Coach Mark especially) and other members are all really great people and it's just an extremely positive place to be. You don't just clock in and clock out like at a normal gym. You show up and compete, work your tail off with other members, set personal records, and then reflect on how you just owned or got owned by the workout of the day. I just can't say enough about it. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
