So, I decided to try Title Boxing Gym on Research Blvd. I signed up for a 60-minute boxing class with 15 minutes of core work. The energy was high, the coach motivating, and the workout not for the faint at heart. The class started with a warmup and gradually transformed into a fast paced, intense cardio and strength class. The class included boxing fundamentals with strength conditioning that really pushed you to the limit. No prior boxing experience was needed, although one of the managers stepped me through the basics. In the boxing class, the coach called out 1 2 3 4 5 6, which referred to the standard punch number system coaches use to call out combinations quickly. The standard meanings are 1 = Jab (lead hand, straight), 2 = Cross (rear hand, straight), 3 = Lead hook, 4 = Rear hook, 5 = Lead uppercut and 6 = Rear uppercut. To be honest, she was calling out the number so fast at first, it was hard to keep up. At my prior class, they would say jab, cross, upper, and hook. She was kind to come over and ask if I needed help. When I told her I was not used to hearing just the numbers, she added the description. After a short while, I was able to catch on. We performed combinations and ran around the room or did burpees (hate burpees) between sets. Title gym is clean, organized, and set up to handle a room of boxing rigs. The music, lighting, and overall vibe helped keep motivation high. Our coach was super motivating yet challenging. The front desk manager was kind to show me around Title gym. OMG...this was one of the most intense workouts. After taking the boxing class, I was literally soaking wet. My guess is that I will fall fast asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

It is a low-impact workout, making it ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels, especially those with joint issues or recovering from injuries or surgeries. The Aquafit class lasted 50 minutes and involved movements like squats, jogging, lunges, and kicks. We used water weights and water noodle to increase our resistance. The small additional cost for unlimited use of these facilities is a huge bargain if you consider what it would cost to get Cryo treatments for example at a local shop. The gym is kept in good condition-equipment is repaired quickly and the locker rooms are very clean. Some of the decor is dated having been converted from a 24 Hour Fitness unit but it's not bad at all. Staff is super friendly and eager to help. Highly recommended.

Everyone here is very nice and it's great to see everyone clean after themselves after working out. They have plenty of antibacterial wipes throughout the gym for people to wipe their station down. The price is very reasonable and towel service is included which is a great perk. Compared to the other gyms, this is the most clean and modern gym I've been to. My only nit pik is the men's bathroom. It can get a little smelly because there doesn't seem to be much ventilation. Not much they can do, but maybe install a air freshener machine that sprays from time to time.

My husband and I came in together to work out. I was fumbling with my phone trying to pull up my barcode, so my husband scanned me in. He accidentally selected our daughter Tess's name instead of mine. I immediately went to the restroom before starting my workout. When I came out of the stall, a staff member was standing there waiting for me. She asked my name, and when I explained that my husband had accidentally selected our daughter's name but that I had my own active membership, she told me I needed to come to the front desk immediately. I told her several times that I had my membership on my phone and could show her. Before going to the desk, I simply asked if I could wash my hands first since I had just used the restroom. She refused and told me, "You need to come to the front desk right now," and then added, "You know I can kick you out of here, right?" I understand verifying memberships, but refusing to allow someone to wash their hands after using the restroom and immediately threatening to throw them out was unnecessary, embarrassing, and incredibly rude. Also, if there is an issue with someone's membership, maybe don't confront them while they're walking out of a bathroom stall. At the very least, wait until they have left the locker room. Being approached in the restroom and then denied the opportunity to wash my hands before being marched to the front desk was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. This isn't an isolated issue. Over the last several months, I've noticed a major shift in how members are treated. Staff seem increasingly focused on policing memberships to the point that interactions often feel accusatory rather than welcoming. I've also become increasingly frustrated with the amenities included in my membership. I pay for the higher-tier membership that includes things like massage chairs and tanning, yet these features frequently don't work or are "under maintenance" for weeks at a time. There was also a recent incident where I was told I could not work out until I allowed staff to take my membership photo. While I understand needing photos for identification purposes, refusing to allow a paying member to exercise until a picture was taken felt excessive and unnecessary. At this point, walking into the gym feels less like going to work out and more like trying to clear airport security. I understand verifying memberships, but I don't appreciate feeling like I'm automatically viewed as a criminal or someone trying to sneak in every time I walk through the door. I've been a paying member for years. A little common sense and courtesy would go a long way. Between the constant equipment issues, amenities being unavailable, and the increasingly rude and confrontational attitude from staff, I'm seriously considering taking my membership elsewhere.
