Pregnant peeps, do yourself a favor and sign up for the prenatal yoga series at The Yoga Room. Had a great experience here and it helped me de-stress and really work on any soreness I was experiencing. You'll also feel a sense of community with the other ladies in the classes. Solidarity! One thing I highly recommend is buying a yoga bolster. Who needs a pregnancy pillow when this exists? Amazing. And The Yoga Room sells them for a reasonable price. Now that I've delivered my baby I want to sign up for a few regular classes as I've had such a great experience here. read more

A unique yoga studio that listens to what students need. instructors accommodate and adjust the class to what is needed by attendees. A more traditional type of yoga that allows you to work at your own pace, whether you are an experienced student or just learning. Very welcoming and friendly staff. I have been practicing yoga for 30 years and tried many studios in Austin and Houston and RR Yoga has been the best fit for me. read more

I highly recommend Angela's Restorative Yoga with Sound Workshop! After the two hours, I felt calm, relaxed, still, centered, and peaceful. It was amazing, and what I had been seeking and hoping to find! That night I had a restful eight hours of sleep, which can be unusual for me. If you have been struggling to relax, feel calm and peaceful, this is the workshop for you! read more

I wanted to like this place as the front desk person was very accommodative in signing me up and walking me through the different classes and that's why I have given one star. Class structure : They have Gentle, Moderate and Strong. Gentle is geared more towards seniors and thats okay. Moderate is more "intense" than "strong". There are very less variety of poses . Who wants to do a sitting version of "cat/cow" ? LoL. Having participated in both moderate and strong classes - Couldnt get much out of it. Teaching style : In every class its targeted towards the least common denominator. If you are looking to practice advanced variation of the poses ( Note the poses themselves are not properly sequenced ) look elsewhere. Now I found this very funny. Saying things like "connect to your inner center" - If I only could connect to my inner center I wouldnt be driving to this Yoga studio paying $15 per class. Lastly, I was about 2 mins late to a class and I was told "Sorry we are full and we dont have any other classes" for today. There was another empty studio and a teacher doing nothing. They should have accommodated me or offer a refund. Not acceptable. Bottomline : If you are new to Yoga and never stretched your body ever you may love this place. If you have done some Yoga and know about different styles of Yoga and sequences you will be sorely disappointed. read more

I tried yoga multiple times with a variety of instructors but did not get it. I found Zelinda 14 months ago and everything clicked. I feel so much healthier and have improved my strength, flexibility and overall well being 100%. Instructi is clear, demonstrations easy to follow, and her overall approach of "yoga for every body " is fantastic for anyone who isn't a young, slim, twig of a person. I am now 60 and feel better than I did at 30, thanks to The Yoga Room. read more

As an older runner, I lack flexibility. And I am not particularly coordinated. At the recommendation of my son, I decided to try Yoga. I must admit that I started with a lot of skepticism and a thought that this would not a long-term activity. I always viewed Yoga as something for vegans who primarily wear hemp-based clothing. I have now been a customer for a bit over a year. I started with the a beginner's workshop, moved onto the all-you-can-yoga $10 pass, and attend once a week. I started with Hatha 1, but now usually go to Hatha 2 or Vinyesa Flow. It's a great workout, and definitely helps my flexibility and balance. I have never felt out of place or embarrassed, even when I mix up my right with my left, or fall on my rear end. Thankfully, this sort of thing happens with less frequency. I like all the instructors, and they are all helpful and open to questions. Lots of classes on different days at different times so I can still get a class in once a week, even when my schedule changes. read more

I have been practicing yoga for about 3 years now, mostly at home. I really wanted to find a Yoga Studio to call home. I started trying places all around Austin and either they were too far away to commit to attending regularly or the fit just wasn't right. Then I found the Yoga Room! I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. All too often people are intimidated by yoga. I promise you will never have that feeling at the yoga room. Every person, all ages, all shapes, all sizes are welcomed. It's for every-BODY, that's what I love the most. There are so many different classes and teacher. Each class has something different to offer. The teachers are kind and gentle. They offer a $10 first week unlimited yoga deal. I suggest you try it and attend as many classes as you can. I promise you'll fall in love like I have. I am so proud to call The Yoga Room my home. read more

Just wonderful! Today I came for a meditation workshop. I've already been to several yoga classes had love the small friendly environment that exists. Everyone works to get to know each new student, what issues if any they are working on, and make sure they know how to modify positions safely. Today's meditation workshop was one of their Saturday or Sunday extra offerings and this came at a great time. I'm looking forward to continuing my practice here and taking each class offered. One of these days I'll be back where I was when I started yoga in 1998, but I bet I'll safely and happily meet that level with the Yoga Room teachers! read more

I love this place! I've had lower back pain for longer than I can remember and people would always tell me to try yoga. I would think about it then promptly do something else. It wasn't until after my spine doctor told me I couldn't have another steroid injection that I finally decided to find a yoga class. I can't believe I waited so long. I started with the beginner's series back in January and haven't looked back. The instructors are super helpful and ALWAYS check in with everyone at the beginning of every class and address those concerns with helpful poses. Everything about The Yoga Room is top notch and I'm so thankful to have found this treasure in Round Rock. It's absolutely saved my back and I've learned so much. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I am so thrilled to have found The Yoga Room! I have taken four different classes with five different teachers, and every one has been great! All of the teachers have been attentive, friendly, and calming. The space is always relaxed and welcoming. I always leave with a sense of peace in my body. My favorite class has been Hatha Flow so far. I plan to get this one in every week if I can. read more

My husband and I have been frequenting The Yoga Room for the past couple of months and couldn't be happier. We have been doing a combination of Hatha and Slow Flow classes (I'm a little bummed that Hatha 2 was taken off the schedule for this season) and have seen a really nice increase in strength, flexibility and overall well being. I have been a member of other yoga studios but what I really like about this place is that the classes are not crowded and non-competitive. People of any ability can feel comfortable doing yoga here without feeling like they are being analyzed or judged. If you have been considering a yoga practice I would highly encourage you to try The Yoga Room. For new customers they offer a week of unlimited classes for only $10 and free mat rental so you can sample the classes and see what fits you best. read more

A lovely space Good instruction Great special workshops. Welcoming, respectful, they remember your name and try to build community They commit to offering classes for "every body" - but have more options for beginners or casual practice than for the more advanced Hope to see you there! read more

The Yoga Room is fabulous! The owner, Zelinda has got to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. The yoga room & the instructors offer SO MANY different styles/types of yoga & very helpful & accommodating to those of us (me) that need to modify poses in our (my) yoga practice. So if you're one of those people who say "oh I've tried yoga & didn't like it" I always say "that's because you've not found the kind of yoga that works for you" The new location on E. Palm Valley (I think its 503 E. Palm Valley? In RR) is SO easy to find. And the new studio is beautiful! I tell everyone that comments on how limber I am (being a large beautiful woman) that it's all due to yoga & tell them about The Yoga Room. I encourage EVERYONE to at least check it out on the Annual FREE Day of Yoga every Labor Day! Can't beat that now can ya! read more

I started with the yoga room in the beginner series in August. I was recovering from a foot surgery and my PT suggested it. I was nervous as I have never done yoga before and had no idea what I was doing. I had Adria as my teacher and she is just wonderful. After I finished the series I started to come to the Yoga room often. They have different levels of classes, beginner, moderate and hard. I do not have what would be considered a 'yogi body' I am not even that flexible. None of that matters at the yoga room. Everyone is very accepting and non judgmental. It's a very 'come as you are' place as it should be. I've taken different classes from different teachers. Everyone has their own style. I really like Asha and Adria but everyone is good in their own way. The unlimited option is a good deal if you can make it 3-4 times a week. They also do a lot of good workshops. read more

The Yoga Room is one of the most welcoming places I've been. Students of all kinds are invited to find their inner yogi in a calming, relaxed atmosphere. I have taken the Gentle, Hatha, and Restorative classes and enjoyed every one. The new studio is very nice. They also offer a variety of weekend workshops. read more

All I can say is wow. I took a class yesterday the Gentle class with instructor Zelinda. She took the time to ask everyone their name and what their problem areas were before we started the class. I left the class feeling relaxed and even met some new friends. Everyone was so welcoming. If you are beginning to try yoga this place is great they have a new student special for $10 unlimited classes for a week. And if it's your first time and you don't have a mat you can borrow one of theirs. Great place to restore your peace of mind highly recommend! read more

After we retired we relocated to Pflugerville, TX. I was extremely fortunate to find The Yoga Room in Round Rock within a month. Zelinda, the founder of The Yoga Room, is extremely passionate about serving her community. Zelinda and her staff have the same vision and mission and the wellbeing of their students is their top priority. The main reason I started yoga was sciatica in my left leg. Just within three months it disappeared and never came back. I have been regularly attending yoga classes at The Yoga Room since November 2018. I highly recommend The Yoga Room to everyone who wants to maintain strength and flexibility of your entire body muscles. Thank you to the friendly staff of The Yoga Room. read more

I have never taken a yoga class before but I've been doing asanas for over 20 years at home. I finally decided I might enjoy some more instruction particularly with the breath work and meditation side of yoga. I did not want a trendy, intimidating gym that called itself a yoga studio, I really wanted to learn more about the REST of yoga, not just the poses. So far, the Yoga Room is EXACTLY what I had in mind. The instructors, staff, and students are friendly, not competitive. The space is clean and bright and the schedule and payment options are great. I'm signed up for some of their short workshops coming up this month. I'm looking forward to those, and I will be sure to update this review once I've taken them. **** OK I've been going pretty regularly for awhile now and I still just LOVE this studio. I signed up for a beginner class taught by the wonderful Gabriela. This helped reassure me that I was doing the posses correctly and that I was ready to do regular classes. Gabriela is a wonderful teacher, very supportive and patient. I have since taken a variety of classes, Hatha 1, Vinyasa flow, slow flow, core power, and restorative. I love every single class and deeply appreciate each of the instructors. They are all fantastic! As much as I appreciate the classes and staff (including the very friendly, welcoming front desk staff) I also appreciate the people who practice at The Yoga Room. Everyone is friendly, and non judgmental. This is just a wonderful place. I highly recommend it if you have never taken yoga before but are hesitant to put yourself out there. The classes schedule does change seasonally and I've heard some folks wishing for more evening classes. I am good with either morning or evening classes so I don't notice a shortage. read more

This was my first experiences with yoga and it's great! The staff and instructors are VERY nice, the facility is nice, and I feel like they do a good job offering instruction. A great blend of classes from those to just relax and clear your head all the way to the ones that will have you sweating. Really great place! read more

I practice at the Yoga Room 5+ times a week, since July 2019, and I love the classes. All 16 of the regular instructors are marvelous, each with her individual style and wisdom. (Of course I have tried them all, and I do have favorites). The owner, Zelinda, ensures this consistent quality amid variety through a calm and persistent attention to detail. She herself is a virtuoso teacher, trained in India and grounded in a broad, updated vision of this ancient tradition that bridges the physical and the spiritual. You won't find crossover cardio workouts or a dance beat, but there are frequent specialty workshops for pregnancy, running, stress, you name it, all based on sound and tested principles. Plus, the classes range from the strong -- likely to make you sweat a bit -- to the gently relaxing. Innovation is cultivated and safety is paramount. The wholesome, positive atmosphere is designed to appeal to everyone, though it seems too few men take advantage of it. Round Rock is incredibly fortunate to have this gem of an institution, as good or better than any in Austin, right here in our back yard. read more

As a newbie to yoga I was a little intimidated by going to a studio and whipping out my mat and even walking around in my bare feet but there was no need to feel that way at the Yoga Room! The studio is spotless, the environment tranquil, the instructor delightful! Beginners yoga class is lovely. read more

I have really come to appreciate the Yoga Room. I started practicing yoga here when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I loved the community it built around pregnant mamas and the focus on health and well being. This summer, my daughter did the story time yoga workshop and loved it! She still asks if she can see Ms. Angela and do yoga with her :) My only slight complaint is they offer these awesome workshops that I want to take, but they tend to fall on Tuesdays or Thursdays when I have to work :) Hard life of a working mama I guess! read more

The Yoga Room is my home studio. I loved them at their old location and I adore the new space that opened September 2013. The energy is good, the space is clean and clear, there are multiple times and class offerings with wonderful teachers. The space is upstairs so you can see nice scenery out the windows and there's an elevator to get up there! Plus there are two nice, clean restrooms and plenty of parking. read more

I'm not a regular at the Yoga Room, as my gym offers yoga classes. However, I do like going there from time to time. All the instructors seem very knowledgeable. I also like the fact that you are not allowed to come into class late. It's so distracting at the gym as people are always coming in late or leaving early! I always feel great after class! read more

The Yoga Room is a wonderful studio. I've been practicing here since last July, shortly before they moved into the new studio. Even with the growth, the larger studio, many new students and the addition of new teachers, everyone is still always warm and welcoming and seem to genuinely care about the students. It feels like home. While I love the faster-paced flow classes, there are lots of options for students of all levels of practice and experience. read more

I am a large woman and a senior. The Yoga Room has been a life-saver for me providing gentle movement and modifications when I cannot do standard yoga poses. It has increased my flexibility immensely and enables me to add exercise and stretching to my life. Every person who works there, at the front desk and teachers, is so friendly and is there to help each person in any way needed. The owner, Zelinda, is constantly trying to add workshops and ways to let anybody experience yoga. The motto is Yoga for Every Body, which they truly live. Thanks so much for an atmosphere where somebody like me can feel comfortable and have the opportunity to add exercise into my life. read more

Love this yoga studio. I've been trying lots of different local studios but have not found a better studio. It's great for all styles of yoga, from restorative and gentle, to a more intense class (strong). I have tried nearly all the teachers, but highly recommend Angela for gentle, Asha, LK and Cinzia if you want more of a challenge. The staff really take each individual into account and make sure that you get help with modifying any pose that you cannot achieve. read more

On a business trip and made the hatha class in a beautiful sunny room on the second floor of a business building. I appreciated the YOGA flashing sign on the marquee to help me track it down. The instructor, warm and calm blond (can't remember her name, sorry!) had a very nice flow and demeanor. A lovely space that is isn't intimidatingly woo-woo. Their first time special $10.00 for a week unlimited is a GOOD deal. If you are looking for a yoga home, I would definitely check it out. read more

I was looking for somewhere to practice prenatal yoga, and I am so happy I tried out The Yoga Room! It is a small place, but the people are so friendly and welcoming! I didn't feel awkward or judged by the other classmates or the instructors. I felt very comfortable and free to do what I needed to enjoy my yoga session. I did the first week pass unlimited for 10$ and it is totally worth it. They not only have prenatal yoga, but they have gentle which focuses on stretching, and vinyasa flow or hatha for more strength focuses. The instructors will talk with you about what you're hoping to get out of your yoga and suggest which classes to take. Their prices are awesome too, you can pay for 1, 5 or 10 classes at a time or a month long unlimited pass for around 100$. Worth it! Super excited to keep coming here and learning more! This is a must go if you're wanting to explore or continue your yoga! read more

I LOVE the Yoga Room!!! I have been practicing there since they were in their first location, and have enjoyed each class since. I tend to gravitate towards the more Gentle-level classes, and the teachers always seem to know what the class needs. Really disappointed in the lack of customer service. I took my first prenatal Yoga class here and absolutely loved it, Stacy was great. I was so excited to come back and was told on my original visit there were only two teachers who could modify the Yoga since I'm 6 mo. Pregnant. I Called this morning to confirm because according to the schedule I would only be able to make it to one class a week (Sat.) since I come from the arboretum area. The lady on the phone told me 4 different teachers so I then decided to come to the one at 5:30. Due to a road closure on Mays St. - down to one lane, I was 8 min. Late. The receptionist told me that she couldn't let me in after 5 minutes of class starting even after I had called beforehand and explained once again what happened when I got there. I drove almost an hour for nothing. I was excited that I had finally found a class I liked other than Bikram, but unfortunately with her lack of empathy and rude smirks I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I have taken a variety of yoga classes over the years at a number of different studios. None can compare with the superior level of high quality, individualized instruction -- even within the group class setting -- that The Yoga Room provides. This past year I developed adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder). Physical therapy only exacerbated the problem, but The Yoga Room put me on the road to complete recovery. In just a matter of weeks of consistent practice, I have experienced tremendous relief in my shoulder, improved range of motion, and better sleep. More importantly, thanks to the teaching staff's interest in helping me address this problem, I'm developing an awareness of how my shoulders function as part of the larger system of my entire body, and what I can do to reverse the situation and prevent future injuries. In addition to the physical improvements I'm experiencing, my time at The Yoga Room is helping me cultivate a deep sense of well-being that is benefiting every facet of my life. Every class at The Yoga Room is led by a caring, knowledgable teacher who customizes the experience for every student. This is an extremely special place, and we're lucky to have it here in Round Rock -- you owe it to yourself to check it out! read more
