Initially, they installed a windshield that was not the one I expected, and this was done without clearly explaining it to me or getting my approval beforehand. I later had them replace it again with a Fuyao windshield. After the windshield replacement, I started having problems with the vehicle's forward-facing camera/ADAS system. The warning lights came on. I returned to the shop, and I was told that they had "recalibrated" the camera and the warning went away. Unfortunately, the warning came back again after about a day and a half. What is especially frustrating is that I was told the camera had been recalibrated, but I was not given a calibration report or a clear explanation of what equipment or procedure was actually used. I don't want the warning simply cleared from the computer; I need the underlying problem properly diagnosed and the camera properly calibrated. The windshield itself was $165 and labor was $189. Given the additional ADAS issues that appeared after the windshield replacement, I expected much clearer communication about the camera calibration and what was actually included in the service. I am very disappointed with the way this issue has been handled. I would strongly recommend that customers with vehicles equipped with ADAS cameras ask very specific questions about calibration before having their windshield replaced. I hope the shop will take this feedback seriously and improve its communication and handling of ADAS-related windshield replacements.
